I've been working out with Lucas since I moved to Scottsdale about 1.5 years ago…read more Lucas is the first true personal trainer I've worked with, but I have had multiple gym memberships at various places, some of which allowed me to sign up for one-off 1:1 training sessions. Unfortunately, none of those gym memberships or 1:1 training sessions worked for me. The difference between my prior memberships and Lucas is the accountability factor and the added bonus of having a registered dietitian helping from a nutrition standpoint. No one at 24 Hour Fitness is holding you accountable to show up everyday, and no one at Orangetheory is delivering a workout that is tailored to your specific goals. Lucas has been great about adjusting workouts based on my personal objectives, and his dietitian has been equally great with consistent recommendations specifically for me. Above all: Lucas switches it up so it's not boring and mundane, he's fun and personable, and he's flexible with my crazy busy work and travel schedule. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to get fit. Or maybe you've tried one of those massive gyms, fought for weeks to snag a spot in a class, and when you finally get in... you're lost in the back row with zero personal attention? If either of those scenarios makes you want to run (in the opposite direction) and you don't even like to run, then Fitness Collective is for you! Picture this: instead of a crowded class or an intimidating one-on-one, it feels like you and a handful of neighbors sharing a trainer. The gym is clean, beautiful, and has a boutique vibe. Sessions are usually 3-4 people for 50 minutes, so you warm up together, then rotate through customized stations designed just for your fitness goals. By the end, you've had a challenging workout without feeling overwhelmed, and you actually look forward to coming back. The trainers are absolute pros--knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. I personally worked with Whittney, Sarah, and Jenni (shout out to these rockstars!). They adjusted my workouts every time based on what I was aiming for, past injuries, and even my fluctuating energy levels. If you've been searching for a welcoming, professional, and non-intimidating gym where you'll get personal attention and results--without the "PE class trauma flashbacks"--this is the place.

My co-worker recommended their trainer, Bruno, so I thought to myself, okay, here is my shot. A month later, I made my way to Bruno's gym. Upon entering the gym, I felt comfortable. It was roomy, had a lot of equipment and had a great vibe. I then met Bruno. He immediately displayed a professional, friendly and kind demeanor, and then began a question and answer session. After "sizing me up," he told me that I could achieve my desired results if I stuck to his proven, healthy, results-oriented plan. He showed me a clearly articulated agenda, and then advised me that if I stuck to the plan, I would meet my goal. Fast-forward to July of 2020, I have not only met my goal, but I have exceeded it.
