However, On September 9th, 2018, we learned just how devastating going through a major fire can be personally. We had just welcomed a new baby girl to the family less than 3 weeks before and were moving into our first home. Thankfully, we all were completely safe and the only loss we had was material. I remember the horrible feeling of trying to hold back tears when we saw what was left of our new home. Completely in shock, anxious, and trying to find answers, in a word, we were lost. As the initial shock subsided, we worked with our insurance company to get started on the claim. While they were great, we still were navigating completely uncharted territory and did not feel comfortable or knowledgable about what exactly to do. We then received advice from a family member that we NEED to call Ron Schoeneman immediately before doing anything. That piece of timely advice, was a blessing. That family connection at our time of need, seemed like it could only be divine intervention. Anyone living in a neighborhood who has been hit by storms has likely had a lot of solicitors…read moreringing your doorbell offering to replace your roof. I talked with several of these folks but it didn't seem like I could trust any of them. Looking up their less than great reviews confirmed my gut. Then I met JT Public Adjusters; in large part due to Matt Uliverie's upfront and honest approach I decided to go with them. They took care of the insurance side of things for me and got the whole roof replacement covered. Shoutout to Matt Ulivieri who was fantastic throughout the entire process. There was a separate issue caused by the crew during the installation, but when I called him, Matt didn't hesitate -- he had someone come out to fix it ASAP - with no hassle, no excuses. That kind of responsiveness truly matters and sets them apart. I'm still waiting on the warranty paperwork, and we'll see how the roof holds up over time, but based on everything so far, I'd definitely recommend Matt and JT Public Adjusters to anyone dealing with storm damage.
