When I reached out to schedule the service it went smoothly; however, when I asked about the information of the drywall installer this is when things took a turn. I was not responded to and had to follow-up multiple times. I then wrote the team to note it was frustrating to have to follow-up so much on a crucial part of the work. For some reason using the word "frustrating" apparently was not seen as polite and I was labeled rude. I tried to explain my view point but was prompted to cancel my appointment. I really wouldn't recommend using this business because it's quite unprofessional the response I received, and I also find it alarming that a customer can't voice a viewpoint. I think businesses should be open to feedback and work with clients to reach a solution or at least acknowledge the viewpoint especially if it is factual. My main concern with this business is I can't imagine needing to solution with them if something goes wrong on the job site. The team feels inflexible, insensitive, and unprofessional. There are a million and one service agents in Atlanta, I'd keep searching and not utilize this team. Customers deserve to have a professional communication dialogue.

They did work NOT to code and did NOT explain the implications to me. They later accused me of not being willing to pay which is NOT the case at all. Furthermore, they did not properly set up the gas pipe in the crawl space, and it resulted in a very dangerous gas leak while still under warranty. I had had a previous bad experience with them where they charged me over $600 to run a camera to the toilet where they misdiagnosed the issue. I hired another plumbing company to deal with the REAL issue. Because I had had a negative experience with them already, I called another plumbing company to repair the gas leak - Reliable is professional and in integrity. When I tried to seek resolution from the owner Matt Zurn, he was completely disrespectful and insulting. I would steer away from this unprofessional company at all costs. They are not to be trusted.

The Plumber's were right around the same price, but I felt much better about the answers their plumber was giving me. I decided to go ahead and have them do the work on 7/21/15, and they did a great job. We ended up needing to replace a hunk of old cast iron pipe and add a cleanout in case of future issues and we were good to go. They kept me in the loop of what was going on and cleaned up everything after themselves. Hopefully I don't need them again, but if I do need a plumber they will be my first call next time.

I turn on the shower and realized it was not warming up. Went downstairs to check the circuit breaker and what do you know, the breaker was tripped. Cutting it on solved my problem right? Ehhhhh nah. I called Roto-Rooter first (see my review for them) and they kept pushing my time out till the point that it was nighttime. I didn't feel comfortable with that so I canceled with them and called Ridgeway the next morning. The technician was very timely (he actually got to my house before I did and he didn't mind one bit), very friendly and professional. He explained to me that one of my elements in my water heater had corroded and suggested that if he replaced one he might as well replace the other one. That was a good move because both of them looked like someone spilled battery acid on them. He also explained to me that my water heater was manufactured in 2004. I moved in my brand new house in 2007 and I wondered why I had an issue with that water heater in 2008. Horrible (Georgia construction laws are horrible). So needless to say my water heater is already 8 years old. SMH Anyway it took him less than a hour to complete the work and he informed me that if the water heater started acting up again I could call him back and he would replace the heater minus part of the cost of the elements so I wouldn't be out so much money. I thought this was really nice. My lesson learned here is to go with smaller, non-chain companies. You get a better experience overall. I'm sure I would have been PISSED by time Roto-Rooter got finished (and my pockets way lighter) I will continue to use them in the future!

However, the discussion leading up to the job seemed like it was more work than he talked it up to be. It was presented as if the job was a massive undertaking and would require at least four hours of work. At least that was how I interpreted it. We agreed on price and they started. 1.5 hours later they were finished. This job cost me $1252.00 And when I received the email invoice I was surprised that there wasn't a breakdown of pricing. It only showed the total cost of $1252. I called about the breakdown and discovered the price to install a toilet that I provided was $750! idk but this seemed extreme. I've been using Skyline Plumbing for 10 years and have never had anything but positive experiences…read more Prices are fair, service is reliable, friendly plumbers and office workers, and they're very thorough in making sure your plumbing issue is resolved. When they identify another costly issue which may cause problems down the line, such as a partial failure in a septic field, they don't turn the appointment into an aggressive sales job, rather just offering an honest assessment of where things currently stand and the problems which could arise without action. They may not advertise on every billboard and sports field in the community like some of their competitors but, to me, relying on word of mouth for business is something only a company confident in their product or service can pull off. I highly recommend Skyline.

I received a call from the technician, on-site, to find out they were going to charge me another $400 to dig up the tank. Keep in mind the original quote was for $325. They ended up charging $450 more to dig up the lid. They were using a mini-excavator so the work was simple and there should have been a minimal up-charge, at best. The technician was very nice and easy to deal with, but the company policy for pricing that type of work is ridiculous. We've used Skyline a good bit in the past, even for drain field lines on another property but will NOT use them again. They have been bought out by a larger company and don't have reasonable prices any more. I felt over a barrel and taken advantage of to do the work. The company that bought Skyline has also bought Hamby's Septic, another once very good septic company. Buyer beware!
