Its The Inside What Matters Yes the pumpage is slow as frack here and I havent used the quick carwash either. Quality Gas? I don't know, I haven't "tasted" it viscosity, but I do know that late at night it gets kinda sketchy by the air and vaccuum station tho, it needs to be more lit. Homeless people outside too last few times I came here and this station being next to to a church and a bar has me somewhat befuddled. Its strategically located between 2 valleys, so this is your last stop until you get to the "other side" whether it be north to Wahiawa or south to Waipio. Its also one of the few gas stations late at night where it stays open inside, and not locked like some places where you gotta have a awkward transaction sliding a drawer back and forth with a cashier. So what about the inside? Shouldnt whats on the inside matter? Lol. In quoting yelper (Rachie P), "I dont know why I come here either." There is a nice coffee machine thing, ice cream, even a self serve Dunkin Donuts. Here in Hawaii, like fast food places also, convenience stores carry local snacks like saimin, sushi, bentos, and Spam musubis (let the oohs and eeews commence). I don't usually get these for my nephews here unless im in a full Hangry mode or out of options because most times they have been sitting there too long and have become hockey puck hard. How the heck 4 stars then? For me this is just one of the places where you know what you want and you can get it fast, and its in stock. Its convenient no questions asked lol. The employees do a decent job in moving the line (most times), and when you go there frequent enough, they already know what you're going to get. Everyone has one of these places where you're in and out and you came for what you needed. Is it the inside what counts? If possible I try to avoid having to purchase things at the register. We'll stop in for snacks, freal shakes, field trip lunches and "my tank is all the way on E and I just need enough to get me to Costco" gas LOL. But everytime I go inside to pay there's at least two people in line. Sometimes the people in line are rude and the cashiers don't care if they go in order of who is there first. On the very rare occasion I will have my car washed here. It's not a good wash at all but what the hey, up to you right? I do find it convenient that there's an air/water machine outside as well as a vacuum. All in all, it can be convenient for me but when I get in I think "why do I keep coming in here?". read more

Not a super fancy car wash, but gives exactly what is advertised. $10 gives you a double pass wash with wax and other small nice things. What I really love is the exit dryers have a timer you can watch, so you can ease your car forward and get as much of the excess water off the car as possible. I try to avoid high traffic times so I can get the most out of that last blow drying. People inside the spot are helpful and courteous, and I've seen a lot of people stopping in for musubis and quick bites in the mornings. I've read a few reviews about their gasoline being slow to pump and a few reviews of the car wash being less than what they paid for. I always pay inside and have a receipt so I'm not sure if paying at the touchpad before entering is not as reliable. read more

Worst car wash in the area. Today we had some record heat and very little rain so I decided to finally take my car in to get it washed. I had a dinner to attend later on so I was slightly pressed for time, the Tony Autoplex car wash was shut down due to "bad weather" and the line at Liquid Aloha was one of the longest I've ever seen so I decided to just pop down to the Island Minimart car wash which is usually not too busy. Now I know why it's usually not too busy, this thing. . .what words am I allowed to use on Yelp? Hold on let me go read the terms of service for the site. . Oh, cool, I can use "sucks?" "sucks" is good? Yes, I can say "sucks", alright, cool. This car wash SUCKS! I drive a 2013 Mazda 2, it's a sub-compact car and it couldn't even wash it properly. I have dirt still up in the middle of my doors, it didn't even try with the wheels and the back of the car was still just as bad as when I drove in, with the exception of the windows. I had to take my plates off the car and clean them manually, I'll likely be re-washing the whole car myself again as a result of this. Don't get me wrong, this isn't the employees fault, they didn't build this thing and I doubt they are responsible for quality control so don't go yelling at them, but that is another issue! Who the gosh-darn-golly-gumdrops do you talk to about this? I will NOT be coming back here for a car wash, I'd rather wait an hour and a half trying to get into Liquid Aloha at town center. read more

Parking is limited but you can always park across the street at McDonalds and walk over. It looks like they revamped the store and updated it. Looks nice. 2 cashiers. My lazy day car wash spot when I just want to get in and out without waiting for someone to dry it or wash it myself. My last visit, I paid for the premium which included the colorful soaps. Nope, the machine totally skipped that part as my son and I were waiting for it. Total disappointment and confusion. Also the credit card machine was still down for the past 2 or 3 months..so I had to park, run in and pay, get back in my vehicle and pray no one is in line. One time, the lady gave me a receipt but it didn't have the activation code on top so I literally sat there and called them so she could come outside because I was blocked. Sounded like such a bother for her. I even called about the height clearance for vehicles prior to coming and she was like straight up, "I'm not going outside to look but I believe it fits tall vans so maybe 7'0 feet." Lol negative lady! Even though it says 7'0, it's more like 6'3 maybe pushing it to 6'4. I go here every other like week or so maybe every other month but today was just not right, so I was on my break and I decided to get chips a water and a sandwich. I was looking at all of them and decided to get the one that look most pleasing to me (egg salad sandwich) and I went back to my work place and ate it there. After I ate my sandwich and some of my chips and some of my water and I went back to work. An hour in my tummy started gurgling, I thought nothing of it but around 1 something my tummy was SORE so I went to the bathroom and you can guess the rest. I was in there for at least 15min. That was the only thing I since my shift besides water all day and a platter at 745am before my shift. But I'm thinking it was the sandwich. Annoying... I guess I just want to complain about "policies". I've used the car wash several times and it's always been slow like other people report, but good otherwise... one time I was in line for over an hour and I was finally the next car in line. And the machine broke so they had to reverse everyone out, myself of course being the last. So I went again before my 30-day code expired and almost the same scenario happened again. The front desk lady was apologetic but said I could redeem the code and not worry about the expiration date. When I just went to redeem it they kind of just laughed since it was past the expiration date and didn't care that I had pointlessly waited in line for so long before (twice!!). I would avoid this station at all costs. I have experienced this situation more than once, and they claim it happens and it's just air in the hose. When putting gas, it took over 10 minutes to reach $10 worth of gas. The man next to us was pumping for 30 minutes and barely had $18 worth of gas in his car. I sent a video to their Instagram, with no response received. Whether this is a safety issue or not, it shouldn't be a "regular" thing that happens. I hope management fixes this issue. read more

This particular Aloha gas station and Island Mini Mart is a boon of convenience. Not only is the mini mart larger than most; carrying a good selection of snacks and drinks, but it has a car wash available. If filling in gas, the car wash is discounted. I enjoy going to Aloha, since the gas prices seem to be in the middle to lower price range. read more

I like this Aloha Gas Station. They have clean and roomy aisles and offer all the basic needs as that of their competition 7-11. I love the Spam and Port. Sausage Musubi and they have great coffee. Their gas is good and I have not had a problem with my car by using Aloha gas rather than Chevron or Shell. I love getting a great snack and a full tank at one stop and the Mililani branch is great. read more
