Texted a request for help with my Navien 240A2 tankless water heater that is installed outside and affected by the current freezing spell, no hot water flow. Over the phone, and reviewing photos I sent of the installation, Jarrod walked me through what to do, affirmed that what I had already tried was good, and I got the hot water flowing again pretty quickly. This review is for 2 aspects of service from aloha. First, these guys have been the most value for the services they offer compare to other local and chain plumbers. Second, I converted from the original hot water tank to Navien tankless heater and let me tell you, it's been nothing but amazing in the last year we've had this unit. Even with the numerous power outages and crazy weather, the heater works without a hitch. It's instantly hot and I saw an immediate change in my water and gas consumption. Navien also stands by their product offering g support and partnerships with local business whenever issues or questions come up. We are a household of 2 who constantly wash dishes, shower and do laundry and have never had problems with the volume of hot water at any time. Early last week I had one of my outside faucets break to where you could not shut it off. Running full blast, I had no water key wrench. On Tuesday Feb 16th, during the earlier stages of the snowpocalypse that tore through Texas, the water lines in our master bathroom stopped. This was this first time that has happened since buying my home. I freaked as I have heard horror stories about broken pipes leaving major $$ repairs. I quickly looked up plumbers in Round Rock and called Aloha hoping that maybe they could give advice. Jerred answered and kindly offered help. His first words were, "take a deep breath, froze does not mean busted." That put me at ease and then he asked me many questions (other lines working, good pressure, etc...) to evaluate my situation. Jerred told me to open all lines in said bathroom, open cabinet under sink and place the space heater I thankfully had near cabinet to get the pipes, lines and wallspace heated. Within 30 minutes water was flowing from all taps. Then the best part, a few minutes later Jerred called back to check on my situation! Who does that! He also advised me to set each tap in the house to a small stream (not a drip) and keep space heater going as the next few nights the temps would dip into single digits. Well the snow has melted and my water pressure and lines are intact. The fact that this company stayed on the phone with me and walked me through the fix speaks volumes. He also described the how and why of what happened as well as the fix. All of this without any charge or trying to sell me something. I cannot speak highly enough of Jerred and Aloha Plumbing. I found that my water heater pan was full and was draining through the emergency overflow. My sister strongly suggested calling Aloha. I had wanted a tankless heater for sometime, but other information that I was provided made it seem unfeasible. Jerred not only answered my call, but scheduled to come out and diagnose my problem the same day. He spoke very directly, and clearly described my options, and the pricing of each. We talked about the pros and cons of the options, and eventually agreed that a tankless system would be installed later that week.
