I first heard about AlohaMedia through Cafe Julia Elijah's recommended vendor list. Upon researching further, I liked their portfolio of event photos showcasing vibrant and sharp pictures to the cinematography expressing the emotions and memories for such a big day in their videos. It was also neat to see they worked with musician Kolohe Kai on some videos! Navigating the website, I was able to easily setup an initial video/phone meeting with Justyn to which we discussed budget and what packages would be most fitting. His cheerful demeanor and professionalism reassured me that this would be the company to go forth to document such an important day. Needless to say, I'm glad we did! AlohaMedia offers so much and has a few collections and à la carte options to fit your budget needs. We hired AlohaMedia to do our photography, videography, photobooth, DJ, and emcee. It made wedding planning all the way from South Carolina much more enjoyable to know they encompass so much and do so with aloha spirit and pride. We got our photobooth pictures 3 days after our wedding and the highlight samples about 2 weeks later. We can't wait to see the rest of our photos and the video! The crew of AlohaMedia was polite, punctual, good natured, friendly -- just to name a few qualities with our experience. The camera crew showed up early at our hotel for our getting-ready pictures, ensured our photo and video needs were met at our St. Augustine By The Sea church ceremony, the photos before the reception allowed my husband and I to get some beautiful photos around Cafe Julia. For the music and dance portion for the reception, DJ Kutz and emcee Josh exceeded our expectations. Our families LOVE dancing so to me, music meant a great deal of importance. The Vibo website made DJ and music cue planning seamless, it breaks down into sections like walking out songs, bouquet toss, first dance, etc. to which we were able to add comments and clarify any questions plus add links to our personal curated Spotify playlists for them to mix. I'm grateful DJ Kutz and emcee Josh were able to read the dance floor and play songs according to the energy of the crowd especially cranking our Polish disco polo music!! Additionally the photobooth was highly favored with guests. The attendants made sure things were running smoothly, enough copies were printed, and the props made for a few laughs. We used the photos from the booth to be added to our guestbook to which guests could add wisdom and well wishes. Major praises to the crew that made our wedding day feel like a dream: Justyn, Canaan aka DJ Kutz, DJ assistant Nick, photographers Justin & Ryan, videographers Christian & Prince, photobooth attendant Mica, and I'm sure others who run more behind the scenes work!! The communication and dedication to ensure our wedding would run smoothly was evident on that lovely July evening. Mahalo nui loa, AlohaMedia Weddings! read more

absolutely loved our photos from Aloha Media. husband was scouring online for someone that offered photo/video packages that was in a style we liked and after watching a few of their videos on the website, we knew they were the ones. after initial calls with Justyn to nail down pricing and what our vision was, we got an incredible deal with them that included 8 hours of photo, video, and a photobooth. on the day of the shoot, the whole team was so professional. canaan and austyn were efficient and flexible, working through everything that we asked for and also offering direction when we were unsure. big props to the team, especially austyn, for capturing the groom's live band and the huge energy on the dance floor! we got our photos back so quickly after the wedding! it was such a joy to relive the day through their lens and we're so happy to print out some for every guest to include with our thank you cards. highly recommend Aloha Media! read more

Aloha Media Productions - wow. I would book them again and again if I needed to. They were communicative and professional throughout the entire process. The pricing was also extremely fair and offered great value. Additionally, the team made all of us feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is very hard for people who prefer to be behind the camera. They helped us have so much fun and never made it feel awkward at all. The photos and videos they produced will be held so near to us forever and we will always cherish them. They brought great quality (I mean, c'mon-the photos came out AMAZING!), great energy, and great creativity. They captured beautiful moments that we can only relive through these pictures and videos and in our minds. I don't regret it at all and will always recommend when someone asks for a wedding photographer/videographer. read more

Awesome. Incredible. Easy going. Consistent. That's the kind of experience you can expect when going with Aloha Media Productions. HOW DID I HEAR ABOUT IT: It was referred by a friend BEFORE: it felt like going in to see a new hair stylist. You didn't know what the work was like until you tried it but was also paranoid for the outcomes AFTER THOUGHT: shocked! Amazed beyond what I expected. Rina was my family's photographer and she did such an amazing job. I was really worried about the outcomes of the photos because I've never tried someone new but it turned out beautiful. She worked with me, contacted me through email mostly (later text) to help create/imagine my dream family photos. I sent her images of samples on Pinterest and she was able to recreate my wish and bring it to reality. I didn't have to tell her anything at the shoot. She guided and told us what to do and where to look and bam! She worked her magic. She was so friendly that even the kids had an easy time following directions for a whole hour. WHY I BOOKED ALOHA MEDIA: because they offered a better deal, something more within my price range compared to my former. And they were more available than the alternatives. HOW LIKELY AM I TO REBOOK: very! In fact I even referred another family member and they're set to take their photos soon. read more

Justyn and his team are amazing. Justyn is extremely friendly and understanding. He takes his time to explain everything in detail and all my questions. Although I did not book him for my upcoming wedding, I got to see how amazing his team is and works at a friend's wedding. Their team is easy to work with, fun, and extremely professional. I hope to work with them in the future. read more

Aloha media did such an amazing job! They have been working closely with us for a few months all the way till the wedding. They instantly became part of the family. The way they filmed and captured everything was perfect. We enjoyed spending our time with them. We just got our photos back and we love every single one! We're currently waiting for the videos from the big day. They keep in close contact with you and keep you fully updated the whole time. I know this sounds jumbled but there aren't enough good words for me to say. read more

My husband and I are so happy we selected Aloha Media Productions to document our wedding process. The company did an amazing job with everything from our engagement photos to the wedding video/photos. We had a minor hiccup with our engagement photographer due to lack of reception in the area our shoot was taking place.. we weren't able to find her because neither of us had reception.. for future encounters I would recommend contacting the photographer ahead of time to determine an easier way to meet up.. but other then that, the shoot went great. The photographer was very encouraging and made the shoot a really fun one for us. In regards to the wedding, the wedding photographers/videographers showed up on time (early in fact!) and went straight to work. We really appreciated the guidance from the photographers/videographers (all of us in the wedding were a bit camera shy), as well as their flexibility. There were times when our wedding party wanted to try to obtain a specific shot, and the photographer/videographer worked with us to make our dream shot happen. Overall, we were more than satisfied with our final engagement and wedding photos/video. Each of the staff members from Aloha Media were professional and patient.. all replies were made in a timely manner. Overall, I would highly recommend this company! read more

Our friend recommended us this company after they've taken their family photo shoot. This was our first time as a family taking professional photos. The process was easy, made the appointment and paid for the services on their website and on top of it all, Communication was smooth and easy via email. The day of- we were communicating by text with Leila and she was amazing and friendly. She was on time and we were bouncing off ideas and had lots of awkward laughs but overall was fun. I've worked with Johnathan on several different occasions and each encounter I would have to say that I was more than pleased with the entire experience. I think that John has a clear vision of what he wants to portray with his art and it amazes me how easily he makes it happen & brings the vision to life. I also admire how open he is to suggestions/ criticism (being that I'm really picky) because it just goes to show that although his work is amazing he isn't egotistic and his main focus is making sure the client is happy:) Often times before a shoot, I'll get really nervous and will need several minutes to warm up and get in my zone. I really appreciate how considerate John is of that and is patient enough never to rush me or seem aggravated or annoyed. He's very considerate of the clients needs and I think he takes the time to understand & adjust accordingly to their comfort. For example: I enjoy having music playing in the background, small breaks in between sets & time to adjust my hair or retouch my makeup - which I know for a fact it can get on other photographers nerves -_- I think that if you're looking for someone that is easy to work with, quick and gives great results - Johnathan is a great person to go to. He's also very professional & has never crossed any boundaries of making me feel uncomfortable in any type of way. I one thousand percent recommend him and hope you're as happy with your results as I am!!! So awesome to have met you & I really enjoy working with you, John! - MJ read more

My fiancee and I booked Aloha Media Productions for our wedding after having communication issues with the first photographer we booked, and we couldn't be happier with our decision! We booked photo and video for our wedding and they offered us an engagement shoot as well, and we are so happy with the experience we want to write a review even before the wedding. From the get go they were professional and prompt in their communications, and use streamlined and easy to use online platforms for communication, payment, and photo galleries. The value for the price of their services is amazing. For our engagement shoot, our photographer Rina arrived at our chosen location 30 minutes early and discovered there was a surf competition going on there, so she suggested we go to a different beach just up the road - thanks to her professionalism we were able to pivot without losing any precious daylight time before sunset. My fiancee and I are both pretty awkward in front of the camera and this was our first time having professional photos taken, but Rina coached us while also letting us be silly and the photos turned out wonderful! They were even more beautiful than I hoped for. She also edited and sent us back the full gallery in a super short amount of time. Will update again with more rave reviews after the wedding! read more

My husband and I had a great experience with AMP from the start. Justyn and Canaan were in contact with us via email, checking in about the timeline, and were always professional. My husband and I were referred to Aloha Media by our friends, who had their services at their wedding. Take note that we had already made a deposit with another photographer and videographer but thought it wouldn't hurt to check out Aloha Media and see what other services they offer. I filled out their form and received a call from founder, Justyn, not too long after. When I tell you we just clicked, it was just that. An overall sense of warmth and understanding. A vendor who genuinely cares and wants to help. I'm all about energy and vibes, so we decided to sacrifice our deposit with the initial photographer and videographer so that we can move forward with Justyn and his team. BEST DECISION! We decided to go with their package that had everything (collection one) and added on our love story. Creative Director, Austyn, was EVERYTHING! My husband and I awkward in front of the camera and had no idea what to expect. Austyn made the process of being in front of the camera and overall experience so easy and enjoyable. He really took his time guiding us with what to do and made helpful suggestions here and there. Provided reassurance and hyped us up. Such a kind human being! Our love story is one of the main things that our guests kept talking about. Non-stop laughs. The craftsmanship of putting it together was so thoughtful and we loved it! And he held the projection screen in the wind and rain. You're THE MAN Austyn!! Engagement photographer Rina was so sweet. My husband hates taking pictures, but she made the session enjoyable and light. She guided us and gave us prompts because we didn't know what the hell to do, lol. But she was so patient and really took her time. We love our engagement photos! Wedding photographer Lindsay was so personable and attentive. I loved that she would chat with me in between shoots because it made it seems as if a friend/cousin was taking my pictures. Again, I'm not a photo type of person, so I was at ease and didn't feel awkward. Founder, Canaan, GOD BLESS YOU! Followed us all around the tent so we could get pictures with our guests. It was rainy, windy, hot and sweaty and you just went with it. Weaving through the tables and people, you always had a positive attitude throughout it all and I appreciate you so much. You were always so sweet and constantly checked on me throughout the night. Aloha Media, you guys are AWESOME, AMAZING, GREAT COMMUNICATION, KIND, ALL THINGS WONDERFUL. The night of my wedding, you guys became part of our family. We love y'all and thank you for being part of wedding. Alofa Tele! read more

Hands down the best team ever for our BEST. DAY. EVER! Justyn, Rina, and Michael were the perfect trifecta to capturing our special day. They even drove us to our ceremony and reception destinations and made the whole picture taking experience fun, natural, and easy (we are not photo people and can be very awkward haha). We got to take wedding photos at our engagement location which is very special to us. Throughout the day, the team was absolutely wonderful and we had a blast. They are professional, attentive, charismatic, fun, skillful, and genuine people. We even received sample photos TWO days after our wedding and we absolutely love them!!! Aloha Media did an outstanding job capturing the most beautiful moments of our wedding! I initially booked them because they offered a great package that fit within my budget, and they stood out from the start with their responsiveness to my inquiries--something I didn't experience with other vendors. They exceeded all my expectations with their incredible work. The team made us feel so comfortable during the shoot, which was a huge help since we're not naturally great at posing. I really appreciated their guidance and patience throughout the process. As someone who usually sticks to taking landscape shots or photos of others, their coaching made all the difference. Such a friendly and professional team, and I feel so blessed to have worked with them. It feels great to support a talented local business, and I'm so excited to see how the final video turns out. I highly recommend Aloha Media and would absolutely hire them again in the future--maybe for our vow renewal! God bless the Aloha Media team for a job very well done! read more

Austyn was very knowledgeable about taking photos with toddlers (we have a 3 year and 1 year old) and y'all know how challenging it is to get kids to cooperate in photos! This will be my 4th time working with aloha media productions and I would recommend this company over and over. This past weekend we did a family photo shoot of 16 of us. Our photographer for the shoot was Rina, she was amazing. She knew how to work with my 2 year old who would not stand or stay still. She was very patient and kind. Knew how to style and place us even the tiny details we don't think about, she also gave us suggestions of poses and made us feel comfortable, even though we're kind of awkward people. We used AMP for our wedding videography and we were NOT disappointed!! We got married near the Ko'olaus so we knew we wanted that drone footage of the mountain range and those shots alone were breathtaking. Their team was very professional but not too abrasive when it came to posing my husband and I for the shots. They knew what lighting worked and what pose would match the scenery we were in. The highlight video was so amazing, we had to buy a wedding video book so we could upload it and have it on-hand for whenever we wanted to watch it lol. Amazing customer service, very reasonable prices, final products came in a timely manner, phenomenal video footage. Highly recommend! read more

We got married in Oahu and used Aloha Media Productions (AMP) for our wedding and we are so happy with the results. They set us up with photography, videography, a DJ and an Emcee all at a very competitive price. The DJ and the Emcee were great but AMP was absolutely amazing. They were great from start to finish, from the booking process all the way to the end of the wedding. They sent out a crew for the whole day starting at the hotel getting ready and all the way through the wedding ceremony and the dancing at the reception. From the moment we met the team they immediately felt like part of our Ohana, they were such a pleasure to work with.
