It's one of my favourite places to gift shop and occasionally pick up things for myself. My boyfriend hasn't taken off his up-cycled plaid handkerchief scarf since I gifted it to him for x-mas. Most of the things sold at Ransack are made by local artisans but there's quite a few solid vintage finds(old posters, records and some furnishings) as well. Very happily there are no old fur coats or stuffed dead animals at all to ruin my vintage shopping experience or create that narsty smell you find at some vintage stores (I'm looking at you Kensington market). This store is strictly awesome. You really need to discover this place for yourself though. There are so many things to regardez-vous I find myself circling the shop several times taking it all in before I can decide what I can't leave without.

The clothes are sold as uni-sex (so they told me). There were a few camisoles. The staff are very courteous. The stall looks very modern but they haven't received their store signs yet. This is the first time they had a physical store. They used to sell over Instagram including holding live auctions. They are a pop-up for 2 months, after which they have the option of extending and also expanding to a neighbouring stall. The place is wheelchair accessible. Still, I decided to leave four items at the store. Weeks later, when I called to see if any of my items had sold, I was informed that there were only three items listed. When I asked what happened to my fourth item, I was told it must have be defective and was donated. All my items were in excellent condition. I was then told that only one of the remaining three items sold. I decided to take my items back and donate them to a charity of my choice; however, the staff could not find one of them items. Eventually, I was told that it sold but the tag was gone, so the staff did not know it was mine. The store is unorganized and unwelcoming. Only one staff member was willing to help me, and I am grateful for her assistance. I will not be listing or shopping at this store again. It has been a horrible and stressful experience.

But that's not what I'm writing to you about -- I'm writing because shopping at your store was a great experience! ...from the moment we stepped through the door of Guff and were greeted (by Schroeder) to being assisted with checking out the table/being shown how the drop leafs work (by Schroeder) to paying for the table and a couple of ceramic cups and saucers (the latter just having arrived/but Schroeder looked them up/"no problem") to having our table prepped for pick up (by Paul and Schroeder) to being greeted the next day with a smile (by Paul) to the assist with the table being lifted into the back of our SUV (by Paul) ...it could not have been a better experience!! Selections are a good range, and most people shopping at the time successfully found goodies. Prices will depend on the brand and quality. The pieces are kept well, good quality, and they have about 3 change rooms available so you can actually try the stuff on. They've got all sorts of clothing from casual to business wear to semi formal and formal. You can find all sorts of styles too. There's a huge section for formal dresses at the back half and I recall she mentioned they have another location that specially has bridal wear. They also have some jewelry and shoes. I definitely look forward to coming back again soon and hope more people discover them so they can stay in business for a long time to come. The staff here are incredibly friendly and so is the owner! They're not pushy about the sale and seem only concerned about making sure you have a great time shopping. Love the vibes!
