So she approached one of the persons working and mentioned she hadn't received a call about the order yet but wanted to check in since it was so close to xmas. The person was sharp and unfriendly with her stating we called you 3 times. My wife asked did you leave any messages, he stated we always leave messages. So she was quick to realize that they most likely errored in recording her phone number... not a big deal in and of itself it was about the attitude and cold sharp tones when it didn't have to be such. Unfortunately I've seen this attitude myself when seeing an interaction in the past with an unknown customer. This isn't a case of the customer is always right it's about being friendly and maybe just plain nice. We all have things to improve upon in life please work on this in your store Now and Then Records... thank you have a great holiday!

A newly opened record store in the Oshawa Mall occupying the site of the former HMV store…read more My first impressions are that this is going to be a good store. It focuses on music, both in vinyl and CD formats, with far less gimmicky novelty items that were HMV's downfall. The selection is vast, with many back-catalogue albums as well as newer material and "greatest hits." Prices generally are fair, with many CDs listed as "2-for-$15" or "2-for-$20". I did note that latest releases are a couple of dollars more than you might find elsewhere, and some of the box-sets were rather pricey, but otherwise I'm very happy that this store is now open. Besides music, there are some racks of DVDs/Blu-rays, but overall I get the impression that this will be a good place to come to boost your music collection.

Moving to a larger location on Port Credit's East side (about 1 km east of Hurontario), about 4 years has allowed for Ric's to expand their offerings and inventory to a point where you feel like you've traveled back in time to the 60's/70's to go record shopping. All the classics are there... like all of them! If you're a true audiophile, this is the place to be. I spend almost an hour doing a 'quick' skim of the categories that interested me most. Ric's has got a lot of vintage vinyl going from $6 up to $35-$40, there's something from every genre, category and generation on his shelves. That said, if you're looking for something old... brand new, he's got an expansive collection of re-releases and pressings that he keeps on regular order. These can range in price from $25 to over $100 depending on the album. For those still loving the smooth skip skip skip sound of CD's, Ric's has a good helping of these as well. I didn't choose to browse because if I want digital music, I'll download it from itunes, plain and simple. But if you're still a fan of the old compact disc, I'd swing by here and check them out! Today I picked up a Best of the Beatles 1967-1970, Kick by INXS and Blue Train by John Coltrane! I can't wait to get them home to listen!

I told her that this was a gift for a 1 month old baby and that since I'm a college student and cash is tight that I need the money back to buy a new gift for him. Still nothing, heartless. It got to the point where I told her "I could wait here all day sweetheart" (which was hard because this girl does not shower) eventually she gave me a "5$ off anything 25$ or more card" which is a bs deal even if I WASN'T returning anything and not to mention also not covering what I bought, my friend who works there stole a few cute pink shirts for me to have as compensation, probably costing more than what they took from me so I hope a they see's this and consider's it a lesson in stealing from ppl who don't have much, teaching employers proper hygiene might be needed too Store Location: 1154 Chemong Rd, Peterborough Cashiers appearance: white, blonde, short, young 20-30yrs, overweight, dark glasses, acne, ponytail, round face

I love that Talize still has change rooms. So many thrift stores no longer have change rooms, so I won't go to them as it's just too far for me to come back to return the items if they don't fit. So, having change rooms is a big plus for me. (Value Village lost my custom when they removed their change rooms). Yes, the prices are steep on some items, I certainly shop with one eye on the price. You gotta know your prices before buying. But you can still get the odd item that is a deal. Customer service is ok. The change room staff is friendly and helpful. As long as Talize keeps their change rooms, I will be back with my friend!
