The amount that our belongings received at auction seemed very fair but the amount that Mr Monk gained was very surprising. It did not reflect the ideas conveyed in our initial conversations. The hourly rate was provided but it seemed that the number of hours, he billed himself was a surprise as well as "packing". After his group can through and took things to auctioned, we were shocked by the amount of belongings in the end that were left behind. Even things that he had pointed at and specifically said he would take were left behind. Overall this process was most unsatisfactory and I would not do it again and not with Mr Monk. After a $2330.00 sale his expense was $1642. Beware

Unprofessional company. After not agreeing to wait 2 weeks for payment for a 5k item they told me…read morethey were canceling the sale. A month later the owner randomly charged my bank account for $800 and stated that I still owed him the remaining $4200. I went along and paid the $4200 over the next 3 wk period. After payment, the owner refused to ship the item to me, so I had to file a dispute with my CC company. Makes me wonder if he ever had the painting in his possession in the first place. Avoid this company!!

The items for auction are usually good, but don't ask to have your items shipped…read more They will charge you $20 a box or lot depending, plus Canada Post fees (which are exorbitant enough). That's the highest there is, period. Also, they may charge you for said fees months later! You will think you're already squared away and suddenly you have a charge on your credit card. Really not a good practice, even if it's by mistake because they misplaced some invoices. That's on you as a business, not the buyer. Was also not notified that this was happening, just saw the charge on my card and had to inquire.
