They've been in business for 34 years so they know exactly what they're looking for when taking in items and have a great selection at all times, as a result! If you are interested in selling them your women's clothing, the boutique expect's all incoming items to arrive dry cleaned and on a hanger. The store is located on 3 levels with sales upstairs, as well as hand bags, stunning shoes and boots, gowns, caocktail dresses and more. The main floor has new arrivals and tonnes of designer brands from around the globel; Gucci, Chanel, Prada and on and on. Some items cost hundreds of dollars but are a fraction of the regular price and sometimes, hot off the runway. This floor also has a great collection of designer hand bags, shoes and jewellery, the most exclusive of which are always located at the front counter, where you may ask to see them! 2nd Nature really is a gem, I would give the store a perfect 5 except for the staff. Their customer service can be very good but it really depends who's serving you and some store staff and clientelle alike can be rude. Second Nature Boutique - Women's Clothing Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

I have had a run around with this store going on 6 months now. I phoned several times to ask if my 2 pairs of earrings sold and never got a call back. I phoned again 2 months ago, left a message complaining about the poor service and finally had a call back. They claimed that no one got my messages which I find hard to believe as I was very clear in my messages, leaving my call back number and name, and description of items. Talked with one salesperson and she told me that she would get back to me when they located the items but, they are extremely busy with consignments so it may take some time. I am still waiting. My feeling is, they cannot find my earrings or, they did not sell in due time so they sent them, who knows where? I will not recommend consigning your goods here as they appear to be evasive. read more

An interesting store - with a broad array of designer: clothing, shoes, coats, bags, bags, jewelry and you name it. This is not remotely a thrift store. The articles are not giveaway prices, however, they are generally well selected, inspected for damage and wear and I felt the prices generally reflect good value and probably a fraction of their original retail cost. Be prepared to spend some time. You can find fashion that is relatively current, unique, designer quality and makes a woman really stand out from the crowd. Worth the time. Recommended. read more

Second Nature Boutique is a family owned designer resale fashion store for women. They carry quality, to new and used designer merchandise at low-end prices. They have everything from casual wear to haute/vintage couture. I noticed that they carry shoes, costume jewelry, watches, accessories, clothes and more by brands like Prada, Michael Kors, Gucci, Moschino, Chanel, Dior etc. Their merchandise is not organized as I would like and the store itself needed some dusting, vacuuming and perhaps some new carpets? It was a bit grungy in there and personally, I thought a lot of the stuff there looks really used. Also, this is not the best place for petite woman to shop for clothes as most of the clothing is size medium and up. The owners of this store are wonderful at spotting quality items that are classic and elegant but that are still on trend at the same time. This place is a hidden gem and where I do majority of my shopping. You wouldn't believe the pieces I've nabbed for $10 a pop! ..let's see... never-worn silver Oscar della Renta heels, a Kate Spade pochette (only required a new zipper for a couple of bucks), a black military jacket, aqua Banana Republic purse... ok I could go on. I've almost given up on retail- why pay full-price when you can buy better-quality items for the same price or less! I've bought several things with the tags still on and paid 50% off the retail price. Second Nature has been around for over 30 years for good reason. I am posting about my experience with Second Nature Boutique. Last spring I purchased over a dozen items of brand new very fashionable clothing from a trendy boutique on Queen Street West that was closing its doors. I also purchased some beautiful items of clothing from Caban (Club Monaco line) when it was going out of business. I was planning to sell these items online to make a bit of profit. However I was experiencing some health problems so I decided instead to take them to an upscale consignment store called Second Nature Boutique. They are located on Mt. Pleasant near Davisville. They listed my items at half the retail price (most still had their original price tags on them). All of the items would have retailed for approx $100 or more at their original price, but I realized that a consignment shop would not fetch retail prices. They told me how much they would sell each item for (altogether totalling $612 - the original retail value was double that), and of that I was to receive 40%. I was satisfied with that. However, when I returned a few months later I was told that most of the items either didn't sell were donated to charity because they were damaged. I received a cheque for $52. One of the items that had been damaged and donated was a brand new linen Club Monaco skirt that they had displayed in their window. Somehow it went from being a window display to being a damaged, disposed of item. I was told several items were still in the store however after hours of searching I could only find two. The others had mysteriously disappeared even though all the items had security tags on them. I described one of the items to a girl who worked there and she said she knew exactly which item I was referring to and that it had been sold the prior day as a cash sale, therefore it wouldn't be listed in their books yet. So I went back a few days later to claim my portion and the owner told me that that item had not been sold and had been donated to charity. I didn't buy that story for a minute as the first girl had described it to me in great detail and confirmed that she was the one who had made the sale. Also, they told me that many items had sold for significantly less than their list price and therefore my payout was a fraction of what they had originally told me it would be. I would have believed that more if these were out-of-style items yet they were not. A brand new pair of leather shoes of mine had been sold but they apparently "fell apart" the first day that they were worn by the customer and so they were also donated to charity. I had purchased the shoes from a reputable company that sold quality leather products so I found this story also to be unlikely. I would have believed their stories if only one or two items had gone missing or were damaged. But as the stories mounted, my sense is that this was a consignment clothing racket that has stayed in business for so long because they are pocketing more than their share of the sale. I could be wrong, but my experience and intuition tell me otherwise. read more
