I love Alma coffee, not all of their roasts, because I am just very picky about my Java. The great thing about this place that they have all kinds of roasts to please any and all taste buds. They make their syrups from scratch as well as pastries, so I knows there is nothing artificial or bad in them, which I love There is LOTS of sitting space to enjoy your cup of coffee or chai, and their chais are AMAZING as well as their service. We came with many questions and the ladies that work there answered them all. They even washed my cup I brought in with me (I came in with half-cup of coffee I made at home) before making a fresh cup of their coffee for me, how AMAZING is it to receive that kind of service read more

TLDR: This is probably the best latte I've ever had from a coffee shop. They are closed on the Saturdays :( I've put a lot of time and effort into my home setup and generally I strongly prefer the coffee I make at home to coffee shops. While visiting family in Canton I found Alma on yelp and decided to give it a shot. The staff was incredibly nice and the coffee was fantastic. They have a very rare espresso machine made by a company called Slayer and it uses a different brewing process than your typical espresso machine. That machine combined with their beans results in great flavor and really shows off what coffee can taste like. I'm looking forward to ordering some of their beans to try at home when my current batch runs out. I was genuinely blown away by how good the coffee was because it's rarely this good. The next day I woke up excited for another latte only to pull up to an empty parking lot (they're closed on Saturday). I went to the next closest local coffee shop and got an incredibly mediocre latte instead. If you're in the area on a weekday, you have to stop by and try this place. And if you live here, I have no idea why you'd be getting coffee anywhere else. read more

I live near where they roast their beans and mistook their sign as a store-front despite it obviously not looking like one. They were super understanding and gave me a tour all the same! I've been trying to make it here since that interaction in the summer, but I rarely come to downtown Woodstock when I have time for coffee, so when I couldn't go to my campus in Cartersville today I decided to work from here on my dissertation and grade papers. It's in an old gymnasium, complete with creaky wood floors that audibly question me about their weight limits, but hey! I didn't fall through the floor, so I'm taking that as a win. Bottomless iced coffee is $5, and they use pasta straws to reduce plastic waste. Alma is good! If you're wanting to hangout with a friend and catch-up, I recommend sitting outside because their indoor seating area is definitely geared towards maintaining a low volume. I really enjoyed my coffee, but if you prefer things sweet, do add sweetener. The flavors I have tried do not sweeten the coffee at all. We moved to Canton recently and I was looking for a great place to get fresh ground coffee. This place is about 20 min from home but the drive is so worth it because their coffees are outstanding. You can get the beans to ground yourself or have them grind for you. There are smaller bags of different varieties available as well as a starter pack. I wasn't quite sure which blend to get and after sampling several, we decided on the Soulmate. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. There is a separate building right next door for those looking to drink some fresh brewed coffee while working on laptops. I also love that this has been converted from an old house and it is so cool to walk into that huge room to see the actual coffee grinding and bean process right there. Good old simple coffee. When you enter, you'll be able to see their roasters and coffee in the background. They're very nice and always able to answer questions about their growers. They're a simple business competing with the big brands but it's one of a kind and I believe they're owned by a veteran. Small local business with excellent coffee! I don't get all the sweet drinks just a straight cappuccino with one raw sugar and it's perfect! The staff is very friendly and efficient and it's my favorite place to go in an easy Saturday morning to catch up with a friend. This review is for the roastery cafe inside of their warehouse on Holly Springs Pkwy. It is so hard to find amazing customer service anymore and this place has it. Great atmosphere, you smell the delicious coffee being roasted right when you walk in. Amazing service and coffee. There are a few small tables where you can sit and enjoy your drink, it is open to the warehouse area as well where you can watch the packaging being done. Great run business, this place is a gem for Holly Springs. Hoping the roastery cafe will start to be open on weekends as well! read more

Alma is AMAZING! From their love of coffee, to the absolute joy of people they have, and of course their tasty coffee! I heard about them from the doctor I was working with, so when I came in on his birthday to get him a coffee and some Alma swag they immediately knew who he was and made him a special coffee on the house! He is a frequent flier and absolute superfan of Alma, who is always promoting their biz at work, and I got him a Alma coca-cola style glass. They wrote him a little birthday note and gave me some free stickers as well. They also came to Northside to give out free coffee for everyone to try! The love the employees have for their business is amazing, and they are so dedicated to their craft. You can definitely tell when you drink their coffee that it was made with love, hardwork, and dedication. The inside of Alma is their roastery, so it's really neat to watch them work. They also make different syrups for different types of lattes, especially seasonal ones! I wish they were open a little longer than 3, and at 7am instead of 8am so I could come before work, and they are closed on Saturday's but I understand! They do offer an online coffee subscription service that sends you super fresh coffee, in a variety of flavors! They also have a starter pack bundle so you can try different roasts. Another very important thing to me was, they are veteran owned, a disabled vet in fact! My dad is a disabled vet, and I always love supporting not only local businesses, but the many who have served our country who deserve the upmost respect! Alma listed a new coffee on their website and my wife thought it sounded good, so I ordered 2lbs. we got it appx. a week later and wife ground and brewed some beans. she told me that I had to taste it because something was wrong with it. It tasted burned and had a bad chemical taste also. I told her to throw it all in the garbage because the chemical taste could be dangerous. After she did so, I decided to place a review to keep others from taking a chance on it. Low and behold, the new coffee no longer appeared on the website after only about a week. I then wrote Alma and said that they must have already figured out that it was bad. I also told them that I was out $48 for buying it. Over a month later, I have never gotten any response. So apparently they needed the money, or they didn't care about selling bad (perhaps dangerous) coffee and keeping the money. they obviously knew because they pulled it, and I wrote them to warn them. I have since started buying coffee from someone honest and sells great coffee. Everyone is free to do as they please, but consider this a warning of a company that can sell a terrible product, and then keep your money anyway. I will continue to do my best to warn others with more reviews. read more
