    a plastic bag of food

We got an order of lumpia and pancit on Friday, 01/04/2018. The lumpia was great as always, but the pancit was bad (literally). It smelled horrible. By the time I went back, Allyssandra's was closed, so I left a voicemail on their business phone. I informed them that their pancit was bad. I have not received a single phone call from them just acknowledging my complaint or apologizing for serving me bad food, which shows how much they value their customers.

Everything you want in lumpia! Light, crisp layers of pastry, and tasty, well seasoned fillings. Delicious and reasonably priced. Well done.

They even have ready-made hot foods including dishes and desserts for you to purchase to-go! You can even eat your ready-made foods outside in the nice shady sit-down table with chairs eating area! When I come, I tend to start craving my comfort breakfast foods my mom used to cook me when I lived at home such as: Longanisa: like a Filipino sausage typically eaten for breakfast with rice and eggs Tucino: some have coined this the Filipino bacon but I think it's more like a charsiu The meat is pork belly & you usually fry this until it's carmelized and it's a breakfast meat you eat with garlic rice and eggies Salted egg: we eat this more so for breakfast and we open it, it's boiled and salted so we cut it half with the shell still on and scoop it out with a spoon while it's still cold from the fridge, cut it into pieces and toss it with onions and tomatoes and cilantro if you have it and you eat it with rice and your favorite breakfast protein I love that LMM has all the Filipino condiments and seasonings and ready-prepared flavor packages for your convenience and pleasures! I was practically doing my grocery shopping here because they also have laundry and dish washing soaps as well as various Filipino toiletries and beauty products! I haven't even mentioned the desserts and all the many snack options they have!

This is one of my favorite foods, SO of course I had to go check it out for myself. Unfortunately, at the time I went there it wasn't available, and was told it wouldn't be available until about 10:30 am. So, I browsed around Little Manila Market... It's a small market and the name says what exactly you'll find here. I seen there was Puto; A steamed rice cake slightly sweet & topped with cheese for $7 for a pack of 6. I purchased a container, Let me say it was very delicious! I opened it up in my car on my way to work and couldn't stop eating it. If I could have I would have eaten all of it before reaching Waikele. I wanted to share some with my husband so I shared 2 with him. I'll be back for more! Hot foods are available: Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays. Location: Ho'opili next to Haus Of Puas. Parking: Street Parking. Seating: Outdoor, tables with umbrellas. Looking forward to trying their Filipino hot dishes & picking up a container or two of Puto. One for me and one for the husband.

Odd, as nothing really needed to be "cooked" very long. I noticed immediately that a majority of the tables were disgusting and there are flies buzzing around. In any case, I still decided to order my food as "dine in." I did some shopping while I was waiting, and of course, while I was standing in line (almost 20 minutes later) my beeper went off. You cannot silence it, so I ended up abandoning my place in one of the three cash register lines. Since there are only 3 lines, they do not move quickly. This is prime time on a Saturday, mind you. I went to turn in the beeper and get my soup. The soup comes in a flaming box with a bowl shaped opening with feet, where the stainless seet bowl sits. Now, I get that the flaming box is meant to keep your soup hot... However, WE ARE IN HAWAII. The ambient temperature isn't going to cool down the soup dramatically. IN FACT, I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE WAITING FOR THE FLAME TO GO OUT, BECAUSE MY SOUP IS TOO HOT TO EAT. Additionally, because the bowl sits on feet, the beef bones weight keeps spilling the soup off one end. The soup is delicious, but this is the stupidest execution and presentation of something meant to be delicious and simple. Also, if the bowl is too hot to hold and drink from... soup spoons would be awesome. ‍

Shopping in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. When I saw that there was a third location of One 2 Buy, I thought, "Wow, they must be doing well!" I'm glad that the first location moved to Coral Street... it has better lighting, parking, and organization. The second location in Pearl Kai is also new and clean! This third location, inside of Keiki Kingdom, has more of a warehouse vibe. There are open cardboard boxes so that customers can see the products. I like the fact that there are prices on most items. It's a satisfactory place to find unusual Asian snacks. My friends liked the Hawthorne candy - it was like individually wrapped fruit roll ups! The green onion crackers had packs of eight crackers in the bag. It's a fun experience! Take a look around! Parking is free! Note: this used to be a Walgreens!

When you walk in, you can tell they're still setting up, but it actually adds to the experience. The front is filled with claw machines, giving it a fun arcade vibe before you even get to the good stuff. Then you head in deeper and suddenly you're surrounded by rows of exotic snacks and foods from all over the world. Half of it I've never heard of, the other half I've only seen scroll past on TikTok. It felt like a full-on treasure hunt trying to figure out what everything was....thank God for Google Translate because nothing is labeled in English and nothing is priced. We just threw everything into our amazingly smooth shopping cart and hoped for the best at checkout. Honestly? No regrets at all. The best part is taking all your treasures home and having a blast opening everything and doing your own taste test or mukbang. It's such a fun experience, whether you go with kids, friends, or just your adventurous self. If you love discovering new snacks or want a quirky little adventure in Waipahu, definitely check this place out. Excited to see how it looks once they're fully set up!
