Most of all though I really enjoy the down-to-earth service and friendliness of both the owners and their staff. Free wi-fi.

Well it is called a 'Literary Cafe.' The food menu is rather posh with very clean feel to it. Yes you can get an American Breakfast, but it is just a stack of four pancakes with syrup - no bacon. Not sure how I feel about that. Actual yes I do. "I want me some bacon!" Sandwiches seem to be marketed as the A-list eat, but something else caught my eye. How about pancakes with baked apples, maple syrup, cream cheese and pecans. Oh yeah! I also purchased a house smoothie that tasted good, but once my pancakes arrived that bad boy had my undivided attention. As that first bite hit my palate my reaction was one of an overload of sweetness. Within seconds my tastebuds rose to the challenge and declared "Leon we can handle this!" Boy did they handle it well. I loved my lunch. It was priced at £5.95 so I'll let you decide if you think it's expensive. Rustique Literary Cafe is one of those places to get away from the hustle and bustle. The vibe is relaxed, the food is good, the clientèle remarkably middle-class and it has that all important free wifi.

The menu is massive with large breakfasts for under a fiver, an impressive array of sandwiches, salads, meals, desserts and tasty burgers. For a regular cheeseburger with fries and salad is a mere £3.20. I just had a burger on my first visit although I eyed the Passion Cake for a good while but resisted. As much as I hate making this comparison, the burger reminded me of a McDonalds cheeseburger. The burger was incredibly tasty and neat, with a good balance of salad, but for a man of my vociferous eating habits, it just wasn't big enough. It actually kicks the ass of a McDonalds burger, but still, next time I will go for a half pounder. The eatery itself is small and simple, but retains a nice community feel. I am looking forward to returning for a full sit down meal.

I had the chicken nuggets, chips and beans - this was not the kids option, as much as it sounds so. It was a special deal that day, for £5 with a drink. The portions are generous and big. They sure do fill the plates. The chips tasted like they had been lazily chucked into the fryer again to warm them up. I would've like a fresh(er) batch of chips, as they were still pretty good in terms of 'greasy spoon' quality. I would really like to know what Zamazingo means.. You know I am gonna pause my review writing just to Google it.. I'll let you do your own research on that one, as the translation is not quite as expected.. Give this cafe a chance as it is cheap in comparison to the local eateries - you will be spending less than a tenner in NW3 !
