Great local bakery! Make sure whatever might be coming hot out of the oven, you grab!…read more. So neat to see the commercial oven working, conveyor belts going... . Their pretzel rolls are completely underrated, as well as their pretzels, jalapeño pretzel bites and pepperoni cheese pretzel things. . Tons of fresh bread smells fill the air, and carts are loaded with different baked goods throughout the space. However, the conveyor belt that hangs above does drop constant bread flakes, and the floor becomes very slippery, which is a legitimate safety concern. With so many carts full of product sitting out, it does make you wonder how long some of the baked goods have been left out. I ordered three large subs online the day before to be prepped for a birthday party we were headed to in Atlantic City the following day. Unfortunately, the staff didn't realize this on their end, and the pickup got extended to 15-20 minutes later with extra help from the back. I think with the rushed work needed, the sandwiches suffered from this. There wasn't much meat and cheese at the end of the sandwiches, and the flavors were just okay, nothing special. The donuts ended up being a little hard with a sort of wet feeling to them. The regular cheesecake slice tasted more like cottage cheese and not much like normal cheesecake, which was disappointing. For a bakery with such a long-standing reputation in the community, I expected better quality control, especially for a pre-ordered party order.

I've been enjoying McMillan's for well over 20 years, so this review is long overdue. Their…read moreclassic, chocolate frosted donut is an unrivaled masterpiece: it perfectly straddles the line between dense and fluffy, and the donut itself (not counting the delicious chocolate fudge frosting) isn't actually that sweet, unlike many modern competitors. Their Boston creme with chocolate frosting is also one of the best I've ever had of that variety. Apple cider and pumpkin are two of their absolute best seasonal flavors. McMillan's does NOT do weird gimmicky donuts with fruity pebbles or bacon or lord-knows-what-else on top. They just make damn good old-school donuts and pastries. There's a reason that Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook specifically called out McMillan's donuts as some of the best in the country. While donuts are the cornerstone of this family-run bakery, McMillan's offers so much more than that. One of their lesser-known gems is the tea biscuit with raisins - just crumbly, buttery perfection. Their cakes are never disappointing, and they do an excellent job with decorating them (if that's something you want - if so, just call ahead). They make pretty good seasonal pies, as well. The fruit-filled danishes are great, and they do a nice job with their muffins and sticky buns. We've also gotten dinner rolls before, and they were solid (although with Del Buono's and Deluxe nearby, the roll competition is stiff!). I LOVE bakeries and I visit them wherever I travel. When it comes to donuts, very few (perhaps none) have stood up to McMillan's in terms of overall quality and value. I will be utterly devastated if this place ever closes.

Each cookie is generously filled, with mix-ins throughout--like the crunchy wafer pieces in the KitKat cookie. Service was quick and easy, with no line like you sometimes see at Crumbl. Crave is what Crumbl would be if the cookies weren't sweeter than your sisters Kool-Aid. Crumbl cookies are just insane sugar bombs, where as Crave seems to have a little more restraint in the sweetness department. And listen.....I've eaten A. LOT. of Crave cookies. They have an ever changing kaleidoscope of flavors, and I'll be honest; they aren't all winners, but they get it right way more than they don't. Also, the store is very clean, and genuinely staffed with some of the nicest and most pleasant young people you'll find. BUT.....they ARE expensive. It's about $5 a cookie, which is insane if you think about it. I would say a half of a cookie is a good serving size for an adult, so if you split it with a friend it's a little less egregious, but $2.50 for a 1/2 a cookie isn't a great number either. It's even worse when you drop the Lincoln and get a less than great flavor. Still, it's almost always a great time at Crave. I fully recommend.

Just going to stop by since I was in the area. The bakery is in this shopping center and the parking lot was pretty full when I arrived Sunday afternoon. I agree with the reviewers that this place is small. I felt that I wanted to take my time looking at items but the space felt crowded while looking. Overall they had many options to choose some but there were some empty looking shelves in the far back. I managed to get a few items to try and a slice of cake. There are kiosks to also order drinks. The line was long but moved quickly. The items I tried: Cheesy hot dog: pretty good! very sweet bread with a tiny hot dog. White Chocolate strawberry: delicious strawberry filling. The bun was soft and not overly sweet. Berry bun: I got the very last one! DELISH! The bun of milky, soft and berry filled. My favorite probably. Taro bun: HUGE! Love the taro paste but the bread was alittle off since there was seeds in it. Not loving that texture Tiramisu cheesecake: very good fluffy cheesecake. Would have liked more tiramisu/coffee flavor. Chocolate bun: Another favorite. Very good chocolate fudge on the inside. Wish I bought 10 of theses. Egg tarts: I got the two pack. Wish I got the full box (maybe next time). Flaky buttery crust with sweet egg custard. Also a favorite. Overall everything I got was really good. I also loved that the prices were very affordable ($2-5). The only thing I would add is maybe to have more a description and allergens added to the cards so people with allergies could identify what they can and cannot eat. Cant wait to come back and maybe try one of the drinks :)
