Huge fan of this company. David and his team (including his awesome father) were one of four bidders to replace the wood railing on our deck with glass. It was a large project with some safety concerns given our small children and the drop from the deck to the hill below. Allusions was the fastest to respond to my RFP, they were the fastest to walk and quote the job, and they were the most thorough in their requests for information and in their guidance to me (I'm no glass expert!). Their pricing was one of the most affordable as well, so it was an easy "yes" to hire them from the four bidders. The work was performed quickly, with adjustments quickly suggested and made as they uncovered small complications as their work progressed. The work was done to spec, on time, and on budget. Months later... we love our glass railing. It's strong, beautiful, and we know we got a good deal. There was one set of panels that needed adjustment and Allusions was there the next day to review and the day after to make the adjustment. David helped us out with a project that we've been planning since August '24. It all started with our decks & balconies that needed repair after 35 years. There was some wood damage that needed repair, new waterproofing & decking needed and new flashing at all of the exterior doors. New flashing means that the door sills needed to come up which led us to decide to replace the sliders & French doors as well. With David's connections, we were able to get the construction help we needed in addition to installing the new doors. Because of the traffic noise, we opted for laminated glass as well as replaced some of our existing windows with the laminated glass. This made our Family Room so much more livable and we can watch TV with the volume at a normal level. Allusions installed a frameless glass fence in our back yard in 2019. The final product looked very good initially. This year, one segment of the glass wall spontaneously shattered. We called Allusions and spoke to the new owner. The previous owner, Brian, has retired. The new owner promised to come out and look at our fence. He did not show up as promised. We have left multiple phone messages over this past month ; no phone calls have been returned. While my experience with Allusions was neither simple nor headache-free, in the end, Brian's company was the only company willing to give me what I wanted: a limited number of larger glass panels rather than several small panels. Not only that but their guys did an excellent job of installing my terrace' glass panels. And I don't say that lightly since my choices were not the norm: I chose frameless glass WITHOUT a rail on top of the glass; that means that the glass panels have little to no room for height error because any height differentiation is noticeable. These guys did everything they could to make sure it turned out beautifully. In sum, I believe that this company does excellent work and that Brian, the owner, knows his stuff. My only caution is to remember that he is a contractor; for good or bad. Make certain that you protect yourself with a good contract. And watch over the work to make certain it is done, per your agreement. read more

Awful customer support. Installed a front entrance door and glass started to crack a few weeks after installation. Angie denied the crack is resulted from the door itself, and I agreed to pay for having them come out to replace the cracked glass. No one came out and Angie stopped replying to my emails nor return to my phone messages. I gave up on them, so I have another company come out to replace the glass. When they took the door apart, the foam shims are missing, so the glass was sitting directly on the alum. door frame directly, and that is what caused the crack. The replaced glass is now perfectly fine after the shim is in place. I am an architect/developer and Allusions just lost me as a customer. I will also tell all the architects/builders/developers friends not to use Allusions. read more

I had a fence installed years ago and recently made 5 phone calls and sent 6 emails trying to get a simple piece of metal for the top of one of the posts. I did eventually receive a response and they promised to send me the part and charge me $10 two weeks ago. Never happened. I have given up on this company and do not recommend them. After spending thousands of dollars for their services in the past, I expected to receive good service. It would have been nice to even have been offered the small piece of metal for free. read more
