Since she's a skincare expert, I asked her at that appointment about these horrible dark scars on my legs from flea bites of all things. Ahh! Let's just say I have a traumatizing experience from my roommate fostering kittens! She recommended a peel. So I scheduled an appointment! I got a peel done twice on my lower legs and it looks so much better, most of the scars are gone! I also got a facial done recently and loved it! Had my first facial with Vita yesterday at the recommendation of my sister and I.AM.SOLD. Her aura and space were so easy to be comfortable and relax in, and I immediately felt so excited. Got my first-ever facial from Vita and it was a wonderful and painless experience. She first asked about all the products I use, giving advice on what she thinks work well and suggestions on what else instead, and then walked me through the steps of the facial. The facial was delightful, I looked so glow-y after. I haven't needed to put any makeup on since then and it's been a couple weeks now! In the same appointment I had an underarm wax and it was the quickest and easiest waxing experience ever--I've waxed for a few years now. Vita is brilliant! I've been going to her for years now. And she is literally single handedly responsible for my skin looking and feeling so good these days. Before I started going to her I was using super harsh otc products from Walgreen's, wasn't' wearing sunscreen, had never had a decent facial and didn't know anything about how to properly care for my sensitive skin. This review is long overdue but I wanted to be able to write a thorough review regarding the Yumi lash lift I had received from Vita in December 2018. As I am cursed with extremely straight Asian lashes that will not curl no matter what, I decided to get a lash lift for the very first time because I was going on a trip and did not want to waste so much time on my trip applying mascara that would barely curl my lashes and inevitably give me raccoon eyes. Not to mention I absolutely hate removing mascara because I have extremely sensitive eyes... Before starting, Vita took the time to inform me about the procedure and talked me through the procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Although I don't like to talk while I am getting something done, I had a very pleasant conversation with Vita because she is just a lovely human being. I must mention, I was surprised when she commented that I had pretty long eyelashes after she measured them (before starting the procedure) and was even more surprised when she handed me a mirror after the procedure to see what my lashes looked like. She had asked me what kind of lash lift I wanted and I requested something that looked more natural so I was expecting just a slight curl, but my eyelashes were actually very noticeably curled! In fact, they were so curled that they touched my eyelids! I couldn't believe that these were my natural lashes and was expecting them to lose their curl within a short amount of time because...how can it be possible to have such beautiful and curled lashes for weeks? Just like she suggested, I avoided getting my lashes wet for more than 24 hours and avoided using anything that had oil near my eyes. The next day, my colleagues asked me what mascara I was using to achieve such beautifully curled lashes that were visible even behind my glasses! All I had to do to maintain my curls was brush it every morning with a spoolie brush. Later, I did have one person notice that I had gotten an eyelash lift and she commented that my lash lift was the most perfect one she has ever seen. (Thank you, Vita!) Everyone I met on my trip just assumed I was blessed with perfect lashes so the curl and separation did look very natural! I couldn't believe I was waking up with perfect lashes every morning. However, the one downside was having difficulty applying eyeliner because my lashes were so curled haha. Honestly, although I was not using an eye cream to avoid getting oil near my eyelashes, I did use an oil cleanser to wash the rest of my face for two months and my lashes still remained extremely curled. Do this at your own risk; I just didn't want to spend the money to get another cleanser. On my fourth week, I came back from my trip and started using eye cream again but it barely affected the curl. It just got a little less curly as time passed by. Despite all this, my results lasted for approximately 8 weeks. (Please keep in mind that I am one of the lucky ones as Vita did mention that some of her customers have results that last for approximately 6 weeks.) It is currently week 10 for me and some of my lashes are actually still noticeably curled in a very natural way but I am planning to see Vita again for another lash lift since I am going on another trip...hopefully I'm not addicted. read more

Where shall I start? I started this Yelp account specifically to review the amazing Vita at Allure Skin Studio. Feeling depleted, a friend recommended I see her. The experience was perfection from start to finish. Vita started by wrapping me in a blanket on her heated treatment bed. She told me things about my skin and gave me advice no other esthetician has ever given me (and believe me, I've been to everyone). She cleansed my skin with the best smelling cleanser ever and then did a gentle peel. I believe it had retinol and vit C. After that Vita dermaplaned me which is taking a small blade and feathering it over the surface of the skin (she explained this all to me). It removes dead skin cells and all the peach fuzz on you face. My skin is "glass" smooth and feels like a million bucks! My search is over - I will be seeing her monthly for dermaplaning for sure and look forward to trying some of her other facials. The best! read more

Wow! I was impressed with Vita McConnell. She is so personable and such a professional in her field. She states she will continue to learn all the new techniques offered by her profession because she wishes to offer her clients the best.
