So many reasons this place is NO: 1. The constant up-sell. Two ladies were constantly walking around to clients trying to add more services while they were already in the chair. Didn't like seeing it and definitely didn't like being approached with it myself. 2. Cuticle trim was an extra $5. Everywhere else I've been it's included in the manicure. That's an important part of the manicure to charge extra for. 3. If paying by card, they add the credit card transfer to YOUR bill! This is irresponsible as a business owner and looks bad to add it when a customer is at the counter to pay. Rude and tacky! 4. Dip polish is almost $20 more than a regular manicure. Most other salons it's a $5 to $7 up charge. Wow. 5. Tips only accepted in cash. Cannot add to your card when paying. I was practically followed out to the atm machine in the parking so that I could get cash for a tip. The nail tech waited and watched to make sure I came back. This shop does decent nails, but their business practices and customer service is TERRIBLY RUDE. I will not be back and I cannot recommend them to others. No thank you! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I came in and they followed all rules with Covid which I appreciated. The wait for an appointment was not long but I could tell that all the ladies had been working really hard. For me during Covid service providers I've ensured to tip really well because I feel they had a huge loss during the stay at home order. I had an appointment for gel mani and pedi. Pedi was okay Mani was terrible. I asked to have extra coats 3-4 to make the nails thick and ensure the gel doesn't chip easily. She put on 3 coats but it was still thin. I didn't realize until after I got in my car and had been there for 2 hours that the tech did not put the polish all the way to the cuticle and I looked like I had 1 week old nails leaving the salon. In total I paid $125 and left a $40 tip. I'm very disappointed for the price that I left with grown out nails. After just moving to the area, I thought I would try Allure nails and spa. My mom and I went for pedicures and gel manicures. My experience was horrible here. First of all, I have never felt more rushed. The experience was not relaxing at all. I first asked for my nails not to be filed short which they didn't listen to. Next, I had to have my big toe on one foot re done three times! Three days after getting my nails done, the gel on my fingers starting peeling already. I tried calling the salon to see if I could get them fixed since I was just in there. The lady ended up acting like she didn't know what I was saying and hung up on me. I came here this morning with my daughter along with my sister in law and niece. When we got there no one greeted us. We just stood there. I went back and forth on whether or not to write this review because I'm not easily upset by poor customer service but ultimately I was pretty horrified by what happened so I felt like I must. I walked in on my birthday for a manicure/pedicure and they said they could take me right away which was a big plus. The place itself is a little old and rundown, maybe not the cleanest place I've ever been to but pretty standard as nail salons go. While I was soaking my feet I noticed that they were very very price driven and tried to up sell both of the people in the chairs next to me- again I've found this to be pretty standard practice at nail salons so I wasn't really bothered. When my manicurist started cleaning up my cuticles is when it all went down hill. She was pretty distracted and it had been a little painful so far when she completely slipped and cut my cuticle. I started bleeding (pretty badly) and she was not wearing gloves. She kept pouring chemicals on my finger making it burn worse (I was trying not to cry) and pressed her bare hand onto my bleeding finger trying to make it stop. She tried to keep my manicure going until I finally forced her to get some antibacterial soap so I could wash my hand and clean the wound. She somehow managed to finish the manicure but it was a terrible paint job- the polish was too thick so there was an uneven gap at the top of the nails. I will say I had no complaints about my pedicure but I was so horrified by what was happening with my hands I didn't enjoy it. Aside from an insincere apology they didn't offer any discount in exchange for my awful experience. I am appalled by how unsanitary the whole situation was. They actually time their massage to make sure they actually give you the time that was promised. The water was cold but I didn't complain because I was afraid the whole time that something would fall on me...they are currently doing construction here...for that I figured they may give a discount...they don't. I happened upon this salon when I was shopping with my daughter and her friend. We stopped in without appointments on a Saturday and they took us right away. The woman who did my gel manicure was nice and seemed thorough. My daughter and her friend also enjoyed their experience. I was also able to get my eyebrows waxed and a 10 minute massage so in all, a wonderful, relaxing and accommodating experience. I thought I had found my new salon but in less than a week my gel started peeling on every one of nails and by day 5 all the polish is off. I've never had such a short gel polish. Mine always last at least 2, usually 3 weeks. Not sure what happened but wanted to write this review in hopes that the salon sees this in hopes they'll start offering a better value. Horrible! Worse pedi I have ever had by Vi. Upon arriving at our appointment time, no one greeted us. Eventually someone yelled out to pick a color. Absolutely rude!! Once we were seated, they put our feet in lukewarm water and we sat for 30 minutes. No one ever apologize for making us wait. They then rushed us even though no one else was in the salon. Also, one of the lady's dropped a tool on the floor and just put it back in her container with the other tools. I never saw anyone wipe anything down. Stay away! I went in for a manicure & pedicure. The gal doing the pedicure was VERY rough. She went in so deep on the cuticle on my big toe it hurt and it bleed & bleed. She never apologized or made eye contact. Now (2 days later) it still hurts and is infected. To top it off when it came time to pay she says cash only. Yippee! I finally found a nail salon that does a great job with acrylics! I had gone to another salon in SC and they did a terrible job. I even posted a question here on yelp asking for a good recommendation but nobody responded, so I called around to the different nail salons in San Clemente. After several calls, I finally spoke to the woman who answered the phone here and she was really nice and confident (which made me feel confident). I asked if they did a good job and she said "No good, no pay!" I was sold! It was over in the lower-rent part of town so I was a little nervous but once I went inside, I was really surprised. It was nicely decorated and very clean. Tammy did my nails and did the most amazing job. She had to soak off my old ones (a process that is usually soooo time consuming and awful) but this time, it was over in about 10 minutes! Then she put on my new set of acrylics. She had this really cool metal tool that made the pink into a perfect half-circle. She did my acrylics a different way than I've ever seen them done (she put the white on last almost like a top coat and filed it down) but they turned out absolutely perfect. I'm so impressed! They're flawless. Also, I did not receive one cut!! She must be a Virgo like me because she was so meticulous. If you're looking for acrylics, definitely go here and ask for Tammy. She's really nice and does a fantastic job. read more

Love this place!!! The prices are great; 23 bucks for a spa pedicure and eyebrow wax? Sold. They are across the street from my house...a check on convenience. There is always plenty of parking. I can walk in and they usually take me immediately. All of the ladies (and Kevin!) are super nice and happy to see me when I come in. They do a GREAT job and are fast; I can be in and out in a half an hour. They have a great color selection, and the last time I actually brought my own color in, they wrote it down so that they could buy it too! So cool. What a little gem! I visited this salon after reading the reviews because it's very close to my office. I can't believe a spa pedi with callus remover + a mani came to only $30! I was able to be seated and seen immediately even without an appointment, and the nail tech Ann was so sweet and she did SUCH a great job. And she gives killer hand massages. It was so heavenly. I needed pampering quite badly and Allure did the trick. Don't be fooled by the tiny shopping center and modest storefront; this place is fantastic. I went for a quick pedicure today. First impression was a nice sized salon with friendly caring staff and clean facilities. They have at least 12 pedi chairs with tubs and nail stations also. I came in for a regular manicure/pedicure the woman at the front desk asked me 3 times what I needed done ,each time I would try to answer she would start speaking with someone else. When I finally sat in the chair for my pedicure they started to do my nails at the same time. I asked politely not to as I don't find it relaxing nor was I in a rush. The place was empty yet they went ahead anyway and proceeded to cut my nails followed by the worst cuticle cutting and nail filing ever. I asked that they stop since one hand was done and bad did not want a manicure and I almost left but decided to let them finish the pedicure. They cut nails into "ingrown toe nails". I have tried this place twice, benefit of the doubt about a year apart & BOTH times, worse pedicure I've ever had! Second time brought my daughter & we both have "heartbeats" in our nails as they CUT directly down into nails, burned me w/a hot stone, & are down right rude! Not so impressed the 2nd time around. The 2 nail technicians whom I loved my first time around are no longer working here. Such a bummer!! However, I decided to still give this place a shot. I made an appointment with my cousin who was visiting in town and they tried to seat us across the room from each other. I explained that we called and made an appointment so we could sit next to each other and catch up since she was visiting. Instead of being understanding about it they gave us a whole lot of grief about it. I'm not sure why because there was plenty of seats open that day, it wasn't busy at all. We tried to look past the whole thing once they finally let us sit next to each other but then the 2 ladies doing our nails proceeded to talk a bunch of crap on us in their language and laughing at us the entire time, it was very obvious. They barely said a word to us the entire time. By the end of it, both of our nails had problems. My cousin was brave enough to politely ask the lady to fix one of her nails and she got angry about it and tried to say nothing was wrong. My cousin insisted and kindly pointed out what she didn't like about it and how it didn't match the other nails so she finally agreed to fix it and then purposely cut her finger to the point of bleeding (pix posted). It's a shame they have the nerve to treat their customers like this. To top it all, neither of our nails were very impressive and they still never really fixed her nail. I was in need for a full set so I stopped here. The staff was friendly and took me in right before closing. The place is dirty, old dust everywhere, the floors had caked on dirt and the spa chairs had dirt splatters all over the bottom half. The stations are dirty, and the wash station is dirty. They reuse the nail files and buffers. The nail tech did ok on my acrylic set and made any adjustments to my nails as I asked but I've have better. And she was too rough with her filling and burned the side of my finger. Her polish did job looked great though. One star for friendly customer service & taking me in late, and one for a great polish job, that's all. read more
