I stopped in to grab a snack and use the restroom as I had been traveling for about 2 hours and still had another 3 to go. As I walked in, I was greeted by a nice young lady asking if I was going to grab a bite to eat. After looking at the menu, I decided to this would be a good place to sample some local food before I continued on my journey. The menu had everything from pulled pork to brisket to burgers. The menu read quite well and everything sounded great. I ordered the burger and some onion rings as it just seemed like the quick and easy choice. The burger was average in both taste and sight. I would not say the burger was bad by any means it just didn't stand out from other burger places. Again, it was a good burger. The onion rings were handmade so the breading had a non mass produced frozen taste to them. They were quite good and was happy that I ordered the onion rings to go with my burger. Overall, this was a great stop with good food and a friendly staff.

The proprietor of the restaurant said to both me & the elderly gentleman he was, Spelled Out, C L O S E D and we could come back tomorrow between 11 & 2. I interupted the man & told him to his face i wouldn't spend a penny in here or in his store, you don't need to be rude to me or the other gentleman cause we wanted to buy a Barbecue sandwich. All you needed to say is you were closed, no need to spell it out loud or show you're a huge asshole. I'll never come to your store. Travel Center, what ever you want to call it. There will be a day when you'll beg for 2 customers to stand in line to order food from you. Keep that good Customer Service in check and it may come sooner than you think. I recommend avoiding this establishment Like the Plaque!!!!

Can't remember if I've ever been through this town. Typical drive in Texas where I'm stuck behind 18 wheelers and of course at least one farm tractor for miles. Coordinating with my coworker who was driving in from Plainview for pickup we literally texted each other with a two minute difference in arrival time. The Crossing was the first gas station / convenience store I saw in town. Pulled in and once the exchange was done we ventured in for a potty break and drinks. First time seeing a salad bar in this type of business. And, it actually looked appealing! We've all traveled major roads in whatever state you're from. Yes, I've snickered at gas station sushi in Mississippi. There are things you DON'T want in this setting. Yet, The Crossing made it look seamless. Clean bathrooms at least on the mens side. Usual suspects like Hunt Brothers pizza present and a glass case full of fried goodness too. I think they do burgers too? We grabbed drinks not big enough for a million stops to return and went our separate ways. Ten employees working but nobody was super friendly.

Mac n cheese, okra, pizza, blt-all great! Cute souvenirs. Team members have a Christian vibe that's warming and inviting.
