Super rude, condescending employees. The bathrooms were also dirty and gross. Go to a different convenience store if you can!

Typical work scenario for me. I'm minding my own business in the warehouse when one of the bosses…read morewalks out and says GO HERE NOW! Loaded up a truck and headed to Winters, TX. Can't remember if I've ever been through this town. Typical drive in Texas where I'm stuck behind 18 wheelers and of course at least one farm tractor for miles. Coordinating with my coworker who was driving in from Plainview for pickup we literally texted each other with a two minute difference in arrival time. The Crossing was the first gas station / convenience store I saw in town. Pulled in and once the exchange was done we ventured in for a potty break and drinks. First time seeing a salad bar in this type of business. And, it actually looked appealing! We've all traveled major roads in whatever state you're from. Yes, I've snickered at gas station sushi in Mississippi. There are things you DON'T want in this setting. Yet, The Crossing made it look seamless. Clean bathrooms at least on the mens side. Usual suspects like Hunt Brothers pizza present and a glass case full of fried goodness too. I think they do burgers too? We grabbed drinks not big enough for a million stops to return and went our separate ways. Ten employees working but nobody was super friendly.

Restrooms were clean and stocked, albight only having 3 stalls for such a large busy stop. Food was…read moremade on sight by one of the team members. All food was delicious. Mac n cheese, okra, pizza, blt-all great! Cute souvenirs. Team members have a Christian vibe that's warming and inviting.

Unreal, from the sourdough bun to the patty to the crisp lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles. We split a double cheeseburger and waffle fries. I had to unhinge my jaw to get my mouth around it. All superb. We also had two shakes which were solid. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and loved it. We just bought a ranch about 10 minutes away and will be back here on the regular when we come down. I'm also excited to try their take and bake meals at some point. So glad this place is nearby and so damn good!

Wow! We found this place on our way back to Austin from Trickham. This did NOT disappoint. I am a…read moreburger connoisseur, and let me tell you, this was the absolute best burger I've ever eaten. The patty was the freshest meat, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The buns were TDF and the bacon was thick cut and cooked just right. Even the veggies were fresh. We also ordered french fries and onion rings and both were delicious. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and fries were so amazing. Lastly, the mint shake was obscenely good. To top it off, the owner, Bobby, was so hospitable and friendly. He was very engaging. We will absolutely make a special trip from Austin just to come eat here again. Anyone who comes across this place, don't walk, run to eat here! You will be glad you did.
