I said I was only interested in Auto insurance. He said "then we're probably not a good fit for you" and that was it, silence, no explanation. I was completely shocked and speechless for a few secs. I then proceeded to end the call. A true "never again" example if I ever saw one. Horrible business model and a very unfriendly approach to potential new customers.

For a few years since, our insurance rates rose aggressively. I've asked for new quotes but I get a lot of "others are coming back higher" or "we're still waiting on another quote" and this year I got ignored completely while my phone calls never got returned. However my cancellation email was responded to in a timely manner. I went to another broker: over 40% off this year's renewal rate (felt so cheap we even added 10% coverage but we were under covered before). The only explanation I can come up with is they aren't into brokering condo insurance (anymore?) and they didn't care whether I stayed with them or paid an obscene rate.

I didn't know if I needed to make an appointment or if I could just walk in but I decided what the hell? I entered this very clean and well organized office and was promptly greeted by an older woman who made me feel right at home. I informed her I was interested in getting a quote for my auto and home. The woman walked me over to another gal, Shirley, who politely introduced herself and was more than willing to put together some pricing for me upon my arrival. I thought, for sure, I would have to run home to get her some more info but with today's technology, I was able to pull up my current coverage right on my phone and give her some info so she could compare apples to apples. We went through our auto policies, my home owners policy and I let her give me a quote for life insurance, as well. Shirley and I found that we both use Yelp and started talking about different spots the other one needs to try. We had a nice meeting and she informed me they are collecting Toys for Tots in their office. That made me pretty happy to see! I left feeling like I knew a little more about my current policies as well as more knowledge about my insurance options than I ever knew before. Shirley answered all of my questions and explained things in a manner I could actually understand. They're quotes were better than what we're currently paying and after years of working with an insurance agent I have never even met in person, I definitely want to do business with this State Farm agent and his friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to making the change over, dealing with some incredibly nice people and meeting Scott in person. Check these guys out and ask for Shirley...she's awesome and knows her stuff!
