As a Prince of Procrastination, I've been busting my butt in packing to get ready to move, yet…read moreagain (2x in less than 13 months). I had originally been scheduled to move on Thursday, 9/24. But, due to a 25% chance of rain, and, insofar as I was concerned, a serious health code violation at my old complex, I wanted to get out ASAP! Unfortunately, my plans to move Sunday, or Monday, didn't work out. So, yesterday morning (Monday, 9/21), I called AllStar Moving. Unfortunately, no one picked up. So, I left a message. My call was returned about 2 hours later. :-) I told the guy, I need to move ASAP. Can you do anything to help me accomplish this? After telling him where I live, and where I was moving to, he said either Tuesday, or Wednesday. :-o Because of my hearing problem, I clarified by asking, Tuesday? As in tomorrow, 9/22? And, he said, Yes (all giddy inside). After getting the arrival time down, and finding out the estimated cost (3 guys + the truck), I agreed to have use their services. At about 10:40A.M., my cellphone rang. After picking up, the caller was one of the movers informing me that they would be there in about 1-1.5 hours. Well, they arrived just before noon. I showed them what goes, and what stays. And, they did their thing. The guys introduced themselves. And, they were friendly. Yet, professional. And, once they got going, they didn't stop. I know they were tired. Because, I was their 2nd job of the day. And, taking only 4.5 minutes to get to my new place, they didn't get much of a break. Since it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment (moving into a 2/2, and only taking bulk items, and packed (much still packed from my AZ to GA move on 8/28/19) boxes, it didn't take them very long (I still have several small things, and can goods to bring over). I was given an estimate of 3 to 4 hours; they were done in 2.5 hours! Even the movers commented on how nice my new place is (especially, compared to the old place). So, the move itself cost me $385.00 (the same time for the other place, would have cost me $500.00). In Georgia, while not a requirement, tipping is allowed. So, since there were 3 guys, I gave them each, $20.00 beer money. ;-) But, I told them, not until after you clock out. For sure, I'll keep them in mind for my next move (yes, I do have at least 1 more move to do; maybe 2 or 3).

We had to get creative and they worked with us to unload into our patio rather than buzz into our parking garage! They worked tirelessly even though we all had no water or food for hours. Damien was one of the hardest workout men ever of the group, even unloading a desk heavier than anything.... I called the owner this evening to thank him for having such amazing people! We just hope we tipped them enough bc we wish we could do more! Great guys,price less than half of the competitors and this is a mom and pop owned company. Their service was superb, from our first conversation with them until the pick up of the truck after we had unpacked it. They were outstanding with timeliness, customer service, pick up and delivery. However, they FAR exceeded my expectations! Not only do they do a great job in the move itself, they also go the extremes in making sure they handle your items as careful as possible. they are also fast (but cautious) and are extremely personable! The cost is very reasonable on top of all of that. If that was not enough, when all had been unloaded and they were done, I told the owner that I was now on my to get some things out of a second storage unit now that they had put my main items in a larger one and he insisted on helping me with this and no additional charge! who does this!? No issues. The second set, were 4 hours late, ruined personal items, left me without assembled beds or dining table for my children and my self for over 24 hours. I was promised multiple times that the owner would come and address the unassembled furniture, he did not show up. He called and sounded like he was concerned but ended not even responding or showing up. He has great potential and a few great guys but without proper logistics and communication, this company will ruin your moving experience. Still waiting on a response to the damage to my furniture, walls and floor of a brand new home. I tried to be understanding and easy going but when I was told by one of the movers that it wasn't her job to move certain items up the stairs and that I shouldn't be upset by the way my items where left or the poor communication , I felt a review was needed. I paid for a two story move. Twice. I'm pretty sure I moved more of my items on the truck just to keep it from getting damaged and keep it moving. Frequent smoke breaks, neglectful of personal items. They lost some screws to my furniture. My filing cabinet was bent and smells like cigarettes, we don't smoke, desk and dressers were left turned up on their side without out any consideration of placement. These photos are how they LEFT my delivery. The owner said he would return and assemble himself, but a different team showed up a after 7pm the next day and it wasn't until 9:38pm on Monday night that I finally had a bed assembled. It was a disaster. Left a mess of popsicles plastic in my sink. I would love to see this as an opportunity to fix the mistakes. At this time 5:43am on 8/3. No response. Moving day was July 31. I would suggest starting the moves at 9am as scheduled, instead of 1-2pm. Then you wouldn't be working till 1am and still leaving the job incomplete. These guys are straight "Moving Scammers"…read more They must have thought that they were going to get over on me, when they heard that I was moving my things from a military base to a city location. They have no idea of what a "Standard" is. To start off, they were more than 3 hours late. I had paid them "half" up front to make sure that they had more than the deposit to make the move guaranteed. They sent their other "brother" to get the money while that they claimed they were doing another move. I was moving a three to four bedroom that was being stored in a 10X30 unit to a couple of 10X20 units in the next city. They were loading with people that I know they picked up off of the street. "Literally". I would see the people that they hired to make the move in the city on a weekly basis. So they must have thought that they were getting over on me. One of the people that they hired was throwing my things in the dumpster to make room on the truck for the move. I literally had to watch them because they were "Extremely Shady". The White mover literally dropped my computer and then said that it probably didn't work anyway. These idiots were worst than trash. After we left the first location the move out location I was under the impression that they would go straight to the move in location but I was definitely wrong about that. They stated that they needed a break and needed to stop and get something to eat before they unloaded the truck. I was thinking that "Normal" people would stop on the road briefly, pick up something and possibly switch drivers while the other driver would eat in transit. These jackasses went missing for 4 hours to the point had to file a police report because at this point they would not answer the phone nor did they respond to my text to where they were with my things. After I made the police report then they wanted to return my call when they got pulled over. The police department asked if I wanted to continue with the incident. I stated that if they get my things to the new location in the next 20 minutes then I will suspend the report. They showed up in 15 minutes after they were released from the scene. They were so slow that they did not complete the move in until the next morning. They were ridiculously slow. On top of that I moved out of a 10X30 to (2) 10X20 units. How do you squish a 10X30 into (1) 10X20 unit. That is why I will have to go through and make sure that I am not missing TV's and other expensive equipment that was included in the move. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I would never recommend this company to my "Worst Enemy". They are and were that bad. Horrible does not do them justice.

They communicated with us the night before and again early in the morning on the day of the move to assure us that they would be able to take care of what we needed. He told me it would be $90/hr and they could get it done in 6 hours. I told the owner that I wanted a flat rate in case something happened and he told me a flat rate would be between $630 & $700. He said that I should not go with the flat rate and the crew would get it down quickly. I told him I was on the 2nd floor and moving to the 2nd floor so I wanted a 3 man crew. He told me 2 men would get it done in a timely manner. The day of the move, the movers showed up (in what I thought was a small truck) and started at 9:50am....4 hours later, they still were not done loading up. ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY CAME AN HOUR AFTER MINE, LOADED UP, AND LEFT AND HOUR BEFORE! What was supposed to be a 6 hour job, turned into a 9.5 hr job. And when they were finished, they tried to charge me a $180 truck rental fee - that the owner NEVER told me about! The original estimate was $540 and he presented me with a $1035 bill! I told him I was not paying it!!! After refusing, we had an hour standoff. I told him to get his boss on the phone. They left my apartment at 8:30pm with a check (THAT I HAD TO MAKE OUT TO THE OWNER AND NOT THE COMPANY or they would not leave) and cashed the check at my bank at 9am the next morning! This company is a complete scam!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! After this, I googled the company for reviews and this exact same situation happened to a couple in Perry, GA. NOT TO MENTION THAT THEY DAMAGED 4 PIECES OF MY FURNITURE AND BROKE ONE OF MY LARGE PICTURE FRAMES BY DROPPING IT! I WILL BE FILING A CLAIM WITH THE BBB AND TAKING THE OWNER TO COURT!
