Josh and his team were amazing. Before we even arrived with our truck from the West Coast to our new home in GA, our timeline got changed several times. Josh was consistent in trying to confirm with me, even when I was stranded without reliable cell service for two days, rescheduled when asked without any hassle, and communicated clearly when traffic and a backed up job made them arrive just a little late. It wasn't even that late, but he kept me apprised of when they believed they would be able to arrive and showed up ready to work. I added a large refrigerator onto the job the day off, which had originally just been for a spinet piano and a few book cases. Again, Josh was easy to work with. My house has a very, very steep drive way. The kind of steep where not all vehicles can make it to the top without bottoming out. This was why I needed Josh and his team, as I was not moving those items up by hand on my own from the moving truck parked on the street. Josh and his team got my great grandmother's antique piano, a very large double door Samsung refrigerator, and several other heavy items up the hill in record time without damage. Seriously, I've never seen anyone deadlift a piano like that before, and do it gently. They even worked with us when the new refrigerator wouldn't get through the doors. While they moved the piano, my family and I removed the doors of the house and the doors of the refrigerator and then they finished moving it into the kitchen, which included going up steps and around a corner. I one hundred percent recommend Smart Start Moving and Relocation. Josh needs to charge more, seriously. He's worth it and his prices are so low. I wish him and his team all the best. My experience was horrible, first 45 minutes. They were moving good after that they were wasting time killing the clock for hours as they were loading the truck sometimes one would be on the truck for a long period while the other just stands by the truck and eat a snack I requested to, take apart my bed. They did not have the proper tools to do so so after they were in the master room for a very long period of time, I went in to check why it was taking so long and was told that they did not have the proper tools often on My son had to help them, do certain things like hold my screen TV they took it off the wall. They were choosing to do things the slower rount as far as taking the TV off the wall and disassemble the bed. it was so many times that won or both guys weren't doing anything or one was watching the other do things and by the time we got to the destination as I noticed as My son noticed they did not know how to get the dresser upstairs properly they did not know how to get my headboard upstairs properly without a problem. Everything was a lengthy time consuming problem and all of this was going on as they verbally was complaining about the service. I was paying them to do this job "was for 2 to 3 hours. I feel like if they wouldn't have had a previous job right before my job as the guy told me they did they wouldn't have been that tired before they were done, I can't explain why they had all of the brakes. Both of them was not consistently moving stuff. I can explain a lot of stuff that was going on so My son still had to pitch in and help move for a small amount of time until I just told him to stop and I would just have to let them kill the clock and pay them at the end when it was time to get paid went over the bill three times how much more money besides the deposit do I owe you $103.03 different times I have this recorded then charge me $118 right there as we were talking because I checked my bank account I asked him why did he charge that and he said oh well when you're using a car we charge a certain percentage I said well shouldn't you have told me that before you just charged me that and I just asked you three different times how much more money do I owe you and he skipped over that and he asked me for a tip and I told him no I'm not giving a tip and he got in his truck aggressively and he left aggressively if you want a professional company with good service, I would not recommend this company. My experience was horrible.oh I forgot they broke my computer desk also. Yet asked for a tip.quote was for 2 hrs I thought it could have been done in 3. $295 quote jumped to over $600 bucks. There is too much to get into. It was not a good experience at all. Twice the number of trucks as estimated and they took 18 hours to move a 3 bedroom house 5 miles across town. They broke furniture, did not get all our furniture set up as promised and clearly labeled boxes are randomly placed around the house. I am having to hire more men to finish their job. read more
