A month before the event date, we had a meeting with him and we had to make some changes, that he increased the price and we paid him the remaining balance as well as the increased amount hoping he would do the best and we trusted his polished words. What happened: STAGE-Votive candle walls, chandeliers in front of candle walls, fresh greenery intertwined in candle wall, hanging wisteria with LED candles Includes: Uplighting, stage covering (not entire stage), seating, candle skirting Colors: white and blush. Dance floor with monogram. Aisle Decor. Huge difference when he put up things! The monogram looked very horrible. After talking to him, he told us that the work is not yet completed and they will do the remaining work the next day morning of the event date. No additions were added to the next day. All center pieces looked dull and rusted without any fresh greenery intertwined. Instead of LED Lights , he used votive candles for the candle wall on the stage. Before the function had started, the candles started to burn the fresh greenery intertwined. Just because of some of our guests' timely involvement, a big accident was avoided. The whole stage would have caught fire and it would have been a big tragedy. Our guests who tried to put out the fire were badly injured and burnt themselves in saving the lives of other people. They underwent treatment and could not go for work for weeks. TABLE CENTERPIECES-Not exactly how we wanted it. PERSONAL DECORATIONS had to be added at the entrance of the hall as well as gift table inside, even though( Sign in table 1- $0.00 $0.00, Cake Table 1 $0.00 $0.00, Gift table and gift box 1 $0.00 $0.00, Easel 1 $0.00 $0.00 ) were all there in the contract. After the wedding day, we called to ask for some sort of compensation, and still haven´t heard anything back from him. He didn´t even acknowledge that maybe he had made some mistakes. For him, he did everything perfect.....???? We wouldn´t be surprised if he would answer this review saying that he put all the effort and did EXACTLY what we asked for. Personally, not worth it at all. The impression we got is that it was all about the money and not about how to truly make it right on the day of or how to compensate if there are mistakes. Very frustrating considering how expensive it is for what you might get. We would strongly recommend you to keep looking for another decorator!

I will never have enough words to thank her for all of the last minute seating and decoration changes due to both the ongoing global pandemic and the unprecedented local weather. Tasneem Aunty spent a lot of time personally showing us her decor samples and listening to my vision for the big day. I genuinely appreciate her flexibility in holding video and phone client conversations with me and our families in order to be more cognizant of health recommendations during COIVD. She was polite, courteous, professional, and friendly throughout. She patiently worked through inspiration pictures with me, including detailed descriptions of my bridal bouquet (I love flowers!). The end result was stunning beyond my DREAMS! Everything from the staging (with its gorgeous flowing fabric and hanging flowers), to the golden, geometric centerpieces, the chiavari chairs, the sweetheart table, and the bouquet were BEAUTIFUL!!! I could not have found a better bouquet on Pinterest if I tried! I was filled with happiness. In the nights before our wedding, as the weather situation rapidly degraded and I panicked about the safety and comfort of our families in a clear top tent in the backyard, Tasneem Aunty called and arranged for TWO outdoor blow heaters FREE of charge. I had called vendor after vendor and store after store with no luck since these heaters, and all heaters, were sold out. However, she didn't back down at the challenge, and she managed a miracle. She also personally came to our home on the morning of the wedding, in 32-degree-weather, and ensured that everything from the wedding garlands, to the dessert table were arranged just right. I was absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for her presence. Her business is run with sincerity and NuTrend Events is absolutely sparkling with creative energy and vision. NuTrend Events was AMAZING to work with and I cannot recommend them enough for both their skill, as well as their exceptional generosity of heart and spirit. I would highly recommend them to anyone for their event decorations!

Months out from the wedding, James sent us a link to a portal, which let us start putting together lists of must play songs, play if possible songs, and do not play songs, which made for a fun break when other wedding planning got stressful. About a week out from the wedding, James had a call with us where he went over our timeline and what all announcements we were wanting him to make as the MC. He pointed out to us (and was 100% right about) some issues that we didn't even know we might have and how to address them. Only a few days before the wedding, when we realized that the version of the song we had learned our choreography to for our first dance was edited down from the full version, we emailed James in a panic about what to do. He reassured us that he would find a way to make it work and ultimately edited his own version for us. On the day of the wedding, James arrived early, fielded tech issues that arose from our venue like a champ, and made sure everyone had a great time. Our guests, both old and young, complimented what a great job he was doing throughout the night. The photo booth that we rented through him was also a big hit. James makes sure that in addition to the printed photos at the event, you get a digital copy of all of the photos taken as well. It was fun getting to go back days later and look at all the pictures of our guests enjoying themselves. If we could give James and Ace's High Productions six stars, we would. We can't recommend him highly enough.

It was truly and experience, and we had to get his information. He was more than happy to DJ our wedding and the first thing he did was schedule a face-to-face consultation so we could plan the night, go over logistics, and so we could see his lighting and sound equipment. We were impressed with the quality and variety of lighting options he had. The day of the wedding, James was on time, professional, and he kept the party going to the absolute end! Do not hesitate to book with this company. You will not be disappointed!

Our wedding was 10/12/19 and we are not happy with DJS's service…read more The owner David came well recommended by a another vendor and was very professional in the beginning. We paid our amount in full up front and were offered a discount for full payment and a free Magic Mirror Photobooth. Then over the summer as I tried to contact him for details on the photobooth, etc. and wouldn't hear back from him for WEEKS. My husband would reach out too and David kept asking us to text him when it was an email and email when we would text. He would just dodge and dodge until I threatened to take my business elsewhere. Wish I had. The "Magic Mirror" Photo Booth we received was NOTHING like what was promoted to us. It was a tiny touch screen - not a floor-length mirror selfie booth like what was promised. Also - It's been over 3 weeks and no one has followed up with the digital images from our night. Or anything for that matter. From the beginnning, David said our Dj would be Kelley. Sold him very well as a bilingual DJ. 2 WEEKS before the wedding, David says our Dj is now Gabriel. We met with Gabriel a week before the wedding and turns our he's brand new to DJS. Gabriel was a good latin party DJ but not an MC. He COMPLETELY messed up our anniversary dance. We explained it to him multiple times during the meering, my coordinator had it written down for him and he still did it entirely wrong. When my husband and I explained it to him (while on the dance floor under the spotlight) he just blankly stared at us, nodded, then continued to do it wrong. We had to tell him to just stop and move on to the next item. It was humiliating. At our initial meeting, we asked Gabriel to play some Mexican music and some alternative 80s/70s music for the night (Talking Heads, Disco, Funk, etc.). He just stared blankly at us when we elaborated on the latter. He played mexican music 90% of the night. It alienated half of our guests. At our meeting, we also told him specifically NOT to bring a smoke machine. We told him our space would be too small and the smoke machine wouldn't be a good idea. He brought it anyway and set off the fire alarms with the smoke machine in the middle of our reception. People started to leave. Since then I've reached out to David twice and have yet to hear back. This service was a total disaster and I'm now reaching out publically for my money back. Update 11/15/19 : Still completely NO response from David. Do not hire them.

I interacted with one of the greatest salesmen ever. Metaphorically speaking, I met a man who could charm and disarm people with his rhythmic cadence and showmanship. "Yelp," in MY opinion, Dave was better than Don King as it relates to selling. I purchased DJ entertainment services for an event that I was hosting 6-months out. Along with the standard DJ package, DJS Entertainment sold me on the idea that I needed to purchase dirt and sand for the indoor party (yelp moderators, this is another metaphor, the dirt was equivalent to a fog machine, and the sand represents the disco light). A few months after our initials meeting, I noticed a repeated number of one start rating being posted on yelp. Worried that I may experience the same type of service that D W., Denise S., Carrie V., K J. Joni C., Vicky H. Daisy L, Nayajah D, and Fausto L received, along with the other one star reviews written by Mary B. and Oddie M., that are showing up on the "Not Recommended," list, and the one's that have magically disappeared. I figured that it was imperative that I meet with Mr. Alief (CEO Settle). From my personal experience, it was impossible to connect with DJ Settle. My e-mails, text, and phone calls went unreturned. Since we operate in the same circle, I reached out to a few of his associates and I discovered that Mr. Settle started working for Houston's 97.9 The Box radio station around July and his focus from DJS Entertainment had shifted. In an effort to protect the company's name, along with the money I invested with him for the party, I wanted to speak to him directly, to see if the negative ratings was just a fluke, and that the alleged posting of him using "Push-Play," inexperience friends/gym compadres--I mean DJs--were just lies concocted by a number of yelpers, and that all claims of him making last minutes changes to the assigned DJ, were just an act of Yelp trolls. We never connected and my experience with DJ DJ echoes all the previous post mentioned in the third paragraph. A quote from my original post that was removed, "Sad, a great voice with so much potential, however he doesn't have the intellectual ability to create a strong balance within his crew and run a company, while working for another entity. Thanks to everyone that has provided feedback on the various forms. Mr. Settle, AKA DJS Entertainment's link is no longer active on the Knot. You can only access his page exploring the site as a cached." AVOID! This was my biggest mistake because I thought I would be able to get a comprehensive list together, but I wasn't able to. So the Indian music was lacking. In the middle of the reception, Michael walks over to our sweetheart table and asked me, the bride, what was supposed to be happening at that moment! I had given them documents of the order of things for that very reason and we had a planner. Obviously, I would have problems remembering off the top of my head what was next. I told him the wrong thing and we had to awkwardly go back and do some things we skipped over. That was very bad form for a DJ. The DJ, Michael, would yell out things like "Saturday nights" during the dance music which obviously is not the right vibe for a wedding. He did not read the crowd well and played songs for too long when everyone was tired of it and not dancing anymore. The photobooth was not set up correctly. When Joe and I spoke about it on the phone, he said there would be 10 feet of space that the photobooth would capture but they had it set up so that there was only like 6 feet. I remember this because after I got the measurements from him, I tried to get a floral backdrop that was as wide at the picture would be able to get. I couldn't get anything bigger than an 8ft wide wall but even that wasn't fully captured. The guy monitoring the photobooth was very rude and badly behaved. He was having the time of his life (which we got in our videos) and gave me attitude about how we were still taking pictures at the end of the night. Given these issues, I would say how much we paid made sense because they were on the cheaper side (compared to Indian DJs). The uplighting made the ballroom look great. We said pink uplighting but it came out purple which worked out. I have a before and after attached of the ballroom.
