I spoke with the owner upon delivery of my first phase of loose photos, and he laid out different options based on my wants, needs and budget. I was kept in the loop and notified of phases being complete. I then sent a few very old photo albums, with sticky pages, and even those came out great in the scanning process. The format of the DVD's the Phillips created are in an unreadable format that no pc dvd player or conversion s/w on the web I could find could get them to play. Therefore, paid International Video Tape Copy to find a way to do the conversion. It was tough they said. And a few were so bad I had to give them the original camcorder taped. In the end they converted them all to a readable format on memory drives. Job well done and they would checked in with me often giving updates on their progress to completion.

I checked out Studio713 in the Warehouse District of downtown Houston earlier this week to see what…read moreresources were available. They offer everything from audio and video production, photography, and the use of a cyclorama (675 sq space with lighting). For video production, they use cinema-quality RED® cameras. When entering the studio, there was a plaque on the wall showcasing that Justin Bieber actually recorded his vocals for DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You" at this location. I met with Tyler Casper, the head of Studio713's video department, and nerded out with him in the Cyclorama. Half of it was painted white, and the other half was a bright green for any green screen shots. I personally do similar type of work, so it was actually refreshing to communicate with another professional who actually knows what he's talking about. When it comes to art and production, it's best to work with people who are passionate and educated about what they are doing. I really liked my experience at Studio713. Whenever I need some extra help on a project whether I need audio or video production, photography, or even studio space, I know exactly where to go.
