We couldn't be happier with AllPoint Construction. From the very beginning--when we reached out at the end of October for an estimate and ideas to remodel and modernize our kitchen and bathroom--Seth and Tom were fantastic. They listened to our ideas and enhanced them with their own expertise, quickly providing drawings and a plan we couldn't pass up. They were upfront and transparent from the start, explaining that the project wouldn't begin until spring and that the kitchen and bathroom would follow different schedules. They estimated six weeks for the kitchen and three weeks for the bathroom. To our surprise, they contacted us at the end of January and began the project in early February. Once work started, their team showed up Monday through Friday, making steady progress every day. About halfway through the kitchen, they were ready to begin the bathroom as well. Impressively, the entire project was completed in under seven weeks. We even added to the scope of work two days into the project, and AllPoint handled it seamlessly. Communication with Seth was excellent--he responded quickly by text or phone and addressed any issues right away. All of the contractors were professional, friendly, and respectful of our home. My wife and I always felt comfortable leaving the house while they worked. They even brought dog treats for our puppies, which was a thoughtful touch. We hired Allpoints Construction to install a new roof on our garage. When the crew arrived they refused to begin without first receiving full payment. When contacted, the forman reiterated this demand. We complied and the crew began work, but completed only HALF of the roof, giving a lame excuse about having to leave early to complete another client's roof. When contacted regarding the unfinished roof, Allpoints gave several different dates to which our roof would be completed, yet failed to do so. We were forced to file a formal complaint with the State of Michigan against Allpoint's business license. Only then did Allpoints return to finish the work. When our roof was finally completed Allpoints did not dispose of the used nails, leaving them in my driveway. I will never again hire Allpoints Construction for any reason, and will not recommend Allpoints to anyone for any reason. This company needs to permanently close. read more

They didn't come back to help me with my roof leak. i had alot of work i wanted to hire them for and now i am finding another company. i can't say i would recommend these guys. read more

We had our kitchen totally redone and although there were a few stumbling blocks along the way we ended up with a kitchen that looks great. They did a layout and worked with us on picking out all the materials to be installed. Communication was good albeit a few misunderstandings about a few details - not all were AllPoint's - many were ours. Would have given 5 stars if it had been totally stress free. Forget AllPoint Construction...they don't stand behind their work. They installed a tear-off roof at my mother's home and a few years later, she developed a leak in the back, corner kitchen ceiling. I called 10 times, left messages with the receptionist, never got a call back, they didn't stand up to their warranty...NEVER AGAIN! I ended up having to call a different roofing company to to the repair and they showed me the shoddy work that they did and had to repair/replace that area of the roof. I used them on several other jobs and the one time when I needed them to honor their warranty, I couldn't even get a return call. Use someone else for your roofing jobs. I used All Point Construction to replace the roof on my garage. I received three estimates. All Point was the cheapest, but that is not what sold me on them. Their sales rep, Vincent was excellent. He came out was very professional gave me my estimate with no high pressure sales tactics. The price he gave me was exactly what I paid. The crew came out, wre friendly completed the job in about three hours, cleaned up and left. All Point sent a man out to inspect the work and make sure I was satisfied. I would have given 5 stars for the job performance done on my bathroom remodel except the communication level was lacking on worker scheduling. The tear out crew was good (4 stars). C.J. and Jason did an excellent job, especially C.J.. He did not cut corners and made sure everything he did was correct and the way we wanted (5 stars). The tile crew was very good, although their scheduling of work could have been better (4 stars). The follow up crew of Mike and Ryan was very good (5 stars). Initially, the project was on time and on budget. The workers were professional and polite. The problem came with the punch list that needed to be completed prior to the final payment. It took 3 months to get these items corrected. The main complaint was that the storm doors (2) slammed when closing. After several attempts at repairs and a trip to the factory in Ohio, they finally figured out to properly adjust the closer. Meanwhile, Tom the owner threatened to put a lein on my home.Thankfully, the repairs were done to my satisfaction and we were able to make the final payment. Therefore, I can't and won't recommend Allpoint Construction to anyone. read more

We had Allpoint remodel our kitchen and bathroom. The end result looks good. However, I had to keep pointing out the touch-ups that need to be done to finish the job. The kitchen took 6 weeks to get a working kitchen. We didn't have handles for the cupboards until January 2023 - which were installed in October / November. The cupboards were left with sawdust and shelving sitting inside. They did not install my dishwasher correctly. There is a gap between the wall and cupboards on the bottom that had to be covered with trim. The painter left gray paint on white trim. the were areas that trim was missed and was not fixed until January / February. The grout around the sink area and cupboards had to be fixed because it was cracking. Also there were areas the painter did not sand before painting. All of this was corrected - but I feel it should have been corrected by Allpoint without me taking pictures and sending it to the Project manager. The bathroom looks nice. However we had the same kinds of issued. When we had a working shower - which took 2 weeks and a couple days - they didn't adjust the water correctly - so it was cold - I had to call for them to come back and make the adjustment. The bathroom door was one of the biggest issues we had. They installed a sliding door. the painter just decided to paint it - didn't ask. The door was not installed properly so it rubbed and wouldn't close or lock. The same day he painted the door it was rubbing and paint was being scraped off the door. They painted it and you could see all the brush marks. The paint job was terrible. So again I had to call to get it corrected. Like I mentioned before, the issues did get corrected. However, I feel that I should not have to keep sending pictures and ask for it to be touched up. We paid a lot of money for this job and have waited 21 years to have a nice home. read more

Where oh where do I even begin? The 100+ nails they left in my child's playscape? The 2 no-shows with no calls? The sexism? Yes, the sexism, lets start with that. Well, let's get to that, let's start at the beginning. I contacted AllPoints because they are local and had an A+ BBB rating, and I needed my roof replaced. When the owners son arrived at our home to do an assessment and give a quote, he walked through the home with my husband and myself and we pointed out what we would like done. For $3500, they would replace a small roof on the addition and finish drywalling a bay window we started as well as patch drywall on the ceiling where the roof leak has caused damage. We signed with them on that first day while my husband was home, and they contacted us shortly after to schedule the repair dates. Like I said before, they no-showed on me 2 times, but honesty, that was the least of the issues. On the day they finally did show up to start the project, the owners son and the crew came into my home so the son could show the guys what they were going to do. When they got to the window that needed to be dry-walled, the son literally turned to me and accused me of taking down drywall and other materials that he claimed were there during his original walk through...???? Um..... what? Why would I take drywall off? How does that even make sense? I told him that was ridiculous and I was 1billion% sure that we had not and would not do that and the state the window was in was exactly how it was when he walked through. He told me I was wrong and that I had removed drywall and now the cost would have to be adjusted because there was more work than he originally thought. I'm sorry, but excuse you sir! We have a contract and I have pictures of the damn window from the walk through that prove the window is exactly how it was on walk through day. Yep, it was, and yep, they fixed it. No apology for accusing me of destroying my own property to make them do extra. Now this next part occurred the same day as the window disagreement. The ceilings in the addition had water damage from the leaky roof, but could be repaired with patching and not a complete removal and replacement. As the owner and I are standing in my kitchen talking about what I want done to the ceilings, he is playing on his phone ignoring what I am saying, which I thought was rude, but it actually got worse. He was calling my husband!! Yep, I was telling him what I wanted in MY home, and he called my husband as I was mid sentence and said, and I QUOTE "Hello there X, your wife says she wants this done. I just wanted to call and make sure that is what you wanted". Um!!! Who the fuck do you think you are? How rude! Disrespectful! Ignorant! I am standing here telling you what I want because I am the one paying you and it is MY house, and you call him to verify he approves of my decision? What generation do you think we are living in, sir? Am I an ignorant woman who cant make a decision for herself and HER house? So my husband responded with "Isn't my wife home? Whatever she says she wants is what she wants. Just do what she tells you to do". When my husband got home he asked me about what happened, and I told him what the owners son did, and even my husband said that was way out of line and disrespectful, especially since my husband was home for the walk-through and what I asked for that day was exactly what was previously agreed upon. So after this, they do the job and leave. The job took 2 weeks. The very next rain we had, my damn roof was leaking again! Called them to come out, they made excuses for why a brand new roof was leaking, and slapped some tar or something over the nails. 8 months later, my roof is still leaking! I had such a bad experience with this company that I am literally choosing to let my roof leak and have to pay a second company to rip it off than use this company again. Oh, and if you call the customer service desk and complain about them not showing up or complain about your new roof leaking, you will be yelled at and told that you don't know anything about construction so it is probably done right and you need to stop calling. Yep. $3500 I paid to be told I need to stop complaining that my roof is still leaking. In addition, they did NOT pick up their mess. I am still picking up nails out of the kids play area, my daughter actually got one through the foot that went through her shoe. I wish I had saved them all in a pile and taken a picture so you can see how unprofessional their work was, but I estimate I picked up over 60 mails after they left. I even had to go out and buy a super magnet just to find them and get them all out of the yard. That is not including the roofing material they left behind. I waited a while before writing this post because I wanted to see how the roof would hold up. Well, after 8 months, the roof is buckling and has waves in it and is still leaking. I just had my roof on my house and garage torn off as well as all my gutters on both the house and garage and I love every bit of the job. I had a company of my own before becoming disabled and every employee from Jim who came out and quoted me a price without lowering it because it was that much to have what my wife and I wanted. Not only was Jim at the job to oversee things but the workers where excellent and professional just what I wanted to have my money go towards, small business owners. The people who care and respect the work they perform because that's their trade. Sue and Jim worked and coordinated with us PERFECTLY!!! Friday we said when can you do it , they asked how soon, I replied how about Monday and Monday it was excellent job. I hired All Point for my siding project, they also installed gutters, 2 entry doors and storm doors & a custom window. Tom the owner was great & presented his company really well. He addressed all of my concerns to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted. Tom followed up really well after the project. He called me & came by to inspect the work & make sure I was happy. John & Tom the siding crew were second to none. They were very picky & perticular, these guys were a couple of perfectionists. It was really obvious that quality is this companies top concern. I used to look at some of my neighbors houses & wish my home looked as good as theirs... now they wish theirs looked as good as mine, I have gotten endless compliments. read more

This is a difficult company to deal with. We recieved an estimate from their salesman, Gary, for concrete work. Since the estimate was 50% more than we wanted to pay, we attemted to cut the volume of concrete to a volume that would bring the job within our budget. Unfortunately, Gary wouldn't move on price and stated that cutting 800 square feet of concrete wouldn't impact the price of the job. I didn't hire, nor would I recommend Allpoint Construction. They're overpriced and the integrity of their salesman is lacking. The owner, Tom, called me in an attempt to have me remove my Google review, insinuating that I left a low rating due to their high pricing. I explained to him that his assertion was false, and that we had multiple estimates from other companies. Some were higher than Allpoint and some were lower, but other companies remained professional thought the process of providing estimates. I corrected him and clarified that the poor review I gave is in response to the attitude and lack of professionalism that we experienced in dealing with Gary. @Tom Learn from this experience and treat your customers (and potential customers) as you would like to be treated. Ok - we needed a new garage roof and while we were at it needed a new porch. Sean came out and was very pleasant. He spoke with both my husband and myself and came up with a decent quote. Approx $12K for the garage roof rip off and replacement, a "tune up" on our house roof meaning checking and replacing flashing and recapping the chimney and a rip off and totally new porch with new steps and railing. We also got a no-interest for so many years deal as well. So we signed (around April) They did the garage roof timely (June) and very well. They cleaned up after themselves with that and it was done fast. The porch/chimney is another story. They finally finished our porch and supposedly our chimney toward the end September. We liked it until March. It started peeling and flaking and we hadn't even used salt over the winter months on it! Also our roof on our house was still leaking so either the flashing or the chimney cap weren't done right. After numerous calls, getting the run around, no call backs - I finally said "look, it seems you don't want to fix this and make it right - so just take the cost of the porch off the bill and we will call it a day". Well, needless to say, they didn't like that idea. They offered $500. NOPE - for that you will come out and make it right. Apparently, their "concrete guy" didn't even do the cap (hence the roof leakage) - so when they FINALLY got him out here (around August?) he did fix the chimney and then they had to repour our porch cap. BUT everything kept coming up. It was either too hot or they didn't have the right mix or they didn't have the time. Finally when they started taking down the railings, I knew we were making SOME progress. They didn't take up the old stuff - just repoured concrete over it (kind of haphazardly). Once it cured, though, it took them almost 1.5 months to put the railings back up! The first guys "didn't know how" and they had to get the guy who made them come out but he was having "scheduling difficulty". Long story short - got the job done, 6 months later it starting falling apart - fought with the company for another 5-6 months - they finally "fixed it" again after another 3-4 months. NOW - it's been 18 months since the "refix" and guess what - IT'S PEELING AND CRACKING AGAIN!!!! The steps are cracking, the porch is peeling and I can put my finger between the porch and the house at one side. Just read the fine print (again) and they only warranty for 1 year! We are apparently screwed. Now we are paying an exorbitant price for shoddy workmanship. These people have no compassion and terrible customer service. They claim to be a "family business" but they are only in it for their own pocketbook! I would NEVER recommend them! If I could give them LESS than one star - I would. read more

Around 1:00 I was informed that the crew just finished lunch and would be right there. At 4:15pm the crew arrived and realized they did not have the materials to do the job. We bought the Pledge warranty, so our GAF products and installation are warranted by GAF. It's the other work Allpoint did that GAF said they don't warranty. Start by saying that our siding needs to be replaced. Removal of the old roof resulted in problem areas with our siding. This was discussed in advance with Sean, the salesman, during the sale and before the job started. I expected issues and told him we would replace our siding after paying down the roof, and in all likelihood buy it from Allpoint. He agreed to do whatever it took to make anything they touched water-tight. I told them I didn't care how bad it looked, just make it water-tight... It leaked. Pretty bad, actually. But here's our experience from the beginning: 1. We chose Allpoint because of price and the Pledge warranty. 2. The crew was mostly kids, laughing and joking with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. 3. While standing outside talking to the foreman one of the kids showed up late. The other crew members were busting his chops about being late, and he told them he was at another job fixing one of their screw-ups, to which they countered with the time they had to fix one of his screw-ups. They went back and forth for a bit about who had the most screw-ups. Not a good first impression. 4. Through the day they kept telling me about issues with my siding and I kept telling them about my agreement with Sean, and the foreman kept reassuring me the house would be water-tight. When Sean showed up on the job he reiterated this. I said several times I was more than happy to pay for any additional waterproofing work as long as the house wouldn't leak. 5. I agreed to anything they wanted to replace in order to ensure a good job, reminding them each time what we agreed to in the beginning, but this took extra work they didn't seem to want to do. 6. The job was taking longer than expected and the foreman told me several times he was being pressured by Sean to hurry up and get out of there. 7. Fast forward to the end of the job, gutters get installed, Allpoint leaves and supposedly done... There were cigarette butts and screws (from the gutters I guess) all over my lawn: front, side, and back of house, driveway, planting beds, etc. Empty fountain cup and small trash on my back lawn too. 8. Big rain came some time later and water starting coming through the plaster ceiling in a bedroom. 9. Allpoint sent someone out and Sean called later and he said it was my siding, and that I really needed to replace it right away, offering financing options to encourage me to buy today. I reminded Sean again what I'd been saying over and over, which was that we would replace all of the siding when we had the money, but for now we would pay for whatever repair they could do, even if it looked terrible. His guys came out and made some fake siding from sheet metal (that actually looked pretty good), but I thought it was odd that they repaired siding that was lower on the house than where the water was coming in at. 10. The next big rain it leaked again, and just as bad. Their fix didn't do anything. 11. I measured the leak location and it was directly below the peak of the roof where it met the next story. 12. When I called Allpoint about the leak Sean called me and, without looking at it again said it is my siding. I told him the water was coming through the ceiling directly under the peak of the roof and he said there was no way it was the roof, and water can come in through the siding almost anywhere and run to that spot. I asked Sean if he could at least get someone out but he never did (to my knowledge), and I never heard from him again. 13. We decided to price out siding now, but being unimpressed with Allpoint we called one of their competitors (also a GAF certified company). When I told him about the leak he looked inside and out, then grabbed his ladder and took a look. He pointed out that our venting was installed too low and too close to the gutter, and when snow piles up it may go in to our vents. He also pointed out that the place where I told Sean I thought the water was coming in at had a nice gap where water could get in and it should be caulked... 14. I bought the product the guy recommended and went up there myself, and he was right. I don't know how Allpoint missed such a big leak opportunity, but I caulked it. 15. I haven't repaired the hole in my ceiling because I'm waiting for the next big rain to see what happens. 16. I never asked for Allpoint to repair the bedroom and they never offered, even though they were in there and saw it. At this point I don't see any point in pushing the issue. I vote with my reviews and my checkbook. I won't say they are bad, but I don't see us going back for anything else either. The nice thing is that my warranty on the roof is with GAF, and the guy that is pricing our siding is also a certified GAF installer, so it doesn't have to be Allpoint that does any warranty repairs. read more

I am so disappointed that I chose them for my siding. First instead of coming in September they came a month later. Work a few day from 10-3 then haven't seen them for a few days. It took almost a month to finish my siding. My siding is done I payed them but still have a lot of their stuff in my backyard. I had a box of garbage sitting for weeks in one side of house. They put a bunch of trash in my lawn garbage can. I called them to come pick the stuff up but they didn't come. I am really sorry that I chose them to do my siding I can imagine that the company expects us to clean after them. read more
