The guys showed up a few minutes late (nothing horrible), and they worked like crazy. I mean really fast. They were all super nice! I wasn't quite done packing they said let us take whatever we can because it is easier for us than you. And, boy was that right. My advice to you if your moving when it gets close to the day just throw the rest of your stuff in boxes, because he was right it was easier for them than for us. Highly recommend these guys. There were external…read morecircumstances - navigating an estate sale and light rain - but I don't have any confidence in their skills. They transported the piano upside down with the wheels in the air. I have never heard of anyone else doing this. With the entire weight of the piano in the lid, the hinge and one side was damaged. They also scraped the corner of the side as they attempted to flip the piano right side up in our driveway and a few pieces were knocked completely out. We were mortified. It had been a nice piano but now is clearly damaged from their handling.

The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.

They showed up on time with the appropriate number of people to accomplish a safe move and were very pleasant to work with. Not this time, I called and made the reservation for the move. Gave all of the detailed information he needed and was expecting everything to go smoothly as it always had in the past. I got a call 2 Days later asking for my information and when I said I just gave you all this information 2 days ago he told me he just was trying to make certain that everything was scheduled properly, I told him they had moved me just 2 years ago and that I was just moving about a mile and a half away this time but I still needed a large truck because it was a big job, and he said they could handle it. Come Friday morning at 10 AM, No one was here, 10:30, Still no one. I called and spoke with a young man who asked me what the address was! I told him I'd given them all my. information twice already, but gave it to him again. He said they'd be here in 20 minutes. It was 50 minutes before the 2 men arrived with 83 yr old Grandpa driving the truck. I was expecting 3 men, but they were polite and friendly so I hoped everything would go smoothly from that point on. I was so wrong. The move that had taken 4 and 1/2 hours in 2024 took 9 hours this time. Despite the fact that the first move was from Holt to Okemos and this move was only a mile and a half away from my current home. They moved slowly and inefficiently. One of the young men was having some health issues and the other young man was lifting and moving items that needed 2 men to move safely. After finally arriving at my house after 11:00 a.m they finally left at 8:30 PM, even though they were not able to complete my move. There were many items left behind because the truck wasn't big enough to hold all my belongings. Or possibly they didn't pack it properly to make the move because I didn't have any trouble moving there 2 years ago. They removed basement door from the hinges, and they never put it back on. They moved the washer and dryer and needed to use my tools. When they got to the new house they didn't bring the tools with them so I had to drive back to the old place and get the tools they left behind. Unfortunately, they still didn't hook up my washer and dryer. The move from Holt to Okemos in 2024 cost me $1,050. I was charged $1650 this time for an incomplete job. They did offer to come back and complete the move, but I was so exhausted. I just wanted them to leave and I knew I would be charged more. There's absolutely no reason that the move 2 years ago should have been so smooth and easy and $600 cheaper than yesterday's disaster. I would not take a chance on using this moving company again.

He said yes and said he changed my time to 2 to 4 pm when he had another customer cancel. I told him we would not be ready that early and I could do 3 pm he agreed. The movers called me at 1:48 pm and said they were at my Apt and that the clock starts at 2 pm!!! Keep in mind I am disabled and use an electric wheelchair so I'm not able to just hurry and be ready. I said to the labor men that no, I would not start the clock at 1:48 pm when they weren't even supposed to be here yet and the truck we rented was not back from the rental place yet. The owner then told me he left me a message that they were coming at 2!!! Like I am a business and have to listen to voice mail. I told him he couldn't change the time without my consent. The workers then told me that my time was up and I owed $398.00 because I had to pay them from their place to my home and back The owner never mentioned that to me remember he said $300.00. Then he said if I didn't pay it they would have to call the police for theft of services because it said it in the email they sent. It doesn't say that in the email I will share with you. Then they weren't even finished with the job! So I had to hire them for 30 more mnts at $70.00 more dollars! So they stole my time and were going to make me a criminal for theft of their time!! I should have called the police myself and had them arrested for stealing my time by changing the time without my consent, not informing me of the $98.00 charge for them coming to my house and going back to work AND NOT FINISHING THE JOB, SENDING ME TO JAIL FOR AN OFFENCE THEY WERE COMMITTING, AND NOT INFORMING ME IT WOULD BE $468.00 INSTEAD OF THE QUOTED PRICE OF $300.00. I am on a fixed income and was being EXTORTED BY MR. BIG STUFF CO. Of Grand Ledge. It was the worst experiences I've9o had with hired help. Do not trust them to quote you the right price or to come at the agreed upon time and they will call the police if you don't pay these charges they didn't tell you about. One because one of the labor men said he was sorry about the miscommunication and he hoped I had a safe trip.
