Allied Universal provides security at our community and not only provides staff at the gates but also provides community patrol and enforcement. I believe the key to success in any organization is the leadership and the command sergeant, Darrell, is the key component to Allied's success in our community. Darrell provides supervision, training and oversight as well as Board required data and reporting. The value for competitive, knowledgeable and competent security is there and this company provides good service. Recommended read more

The allied universal parking enforcement employed by the city of Huntington Beach has a female driver who aggressively parked in a order pick up spot at Home Depot and flung her door open, denting my freshly painted truck, she wouldn't tell me her name, denied hitting my vehicle and made it impossible to get insurance information. On top of that, the insurance they have is ridiculous, and makes it impossible to file a claim. And shocker, they never reported the incident. 3 months later and I'm finally getting this fixed. I have a feeling she was on something and she had no business parking in Home Depot order pick up. read more

4/5 of you are barely capable of dialing a phone without hitting all the keys. More proficient at getting a big-gulp refill than contacting the 911 operator during an ongoing crime. Stand and stare = problem solved. ZERO de-escalation skills. I'm a disabled, female, senior citizen, and was stranded after Motivecare messed up and didn't send me a ride home after an appointment. Everyone had gone home and the parking lot was deserted and dark as I waited for over an hour for my ride. They are so unprofessional and will threaten to call the cops on you for nothing. Make sure u have your fam on record because they are sketchy and will try and set you up. Poor management! Very little or no communication. Management won't respond to phone calls, text or email. You can't get time off for any reason and God's forbid if there was an emergency because of no coverage. I was treated like crap by management because I had a medical emergency and was not able to come in. It took three months to get paid for overtime not that the pay was that great. I was walking around West Village in Dallas tonight, trying to decide if I should move to a condo a few blocks away. I happened upon a cool store called MKT. They had some cool art in the window so I took a few pics. Suddenly this security guard with Allied approaches me. She asks me "is everything all right?". I said "yes" or something to that effect and looked at her like she was nuts. I was a little confused. I'm dressed nicely. I'm in a nice area. It's a cool store. I'm standing on the sidewalk taking a pic with a big iPhone. Not exactly weird behavior. Again she asks me "is everything alright here?" --as if I was about to fight with someone or I don't know, um...illegally take a photo from the sidewalk of a store window?!?! Oh yes--she told me that I was breaking the law--that it was illegal to take a photo of the store window from the street. She looked like she was considering how to arrest me for my nefarious picture taking of art in a window. I told her that it was not illegal to take a photo in a public space like the sidewalk. I asked her for her badge / ID number--tried to take a photo of her name on her badge-- but she took off faster than lightning but what a crazy experience. So are we living in a dictatorship now? Sure feels like it. What a bizarre experience. read more

On the 20th of April, 2024, I went to Bren event Center in Irvine, CA, and I considered the level of security that this company provided to be pretty poor. Due to the fact that I am a person with a handicap, I encountered a number of obstacles when I attempted to gain access to the exhibition. When the Securities and Exchange Commission was made aware of the problem, they swiftly and utterly ignored it. At this time, I do not have any plans to take part in any upcoming events that this company is servicing. read more

Does this company not realize that we are in the middle of a global pandemic????? I was picking up an essential healthcare worker today at 11:45 a.m. in the parking lot of 3345 Michelson Drive in Irvine. While I was waiting I observed one of your security guards,(a dark haired latino man driving a Allied Universal security services pick up truck) approach a Grubhub driver without a mask on or exhibiting the 6ft social distancing required during this pandemic? Then he decided to approach my car, inwhich with my mask and gloves on, I rolled down my window and asked him where his mask was. He told me he did not need one? I rolled my window back up. As I left the parking lot I took pictures of another one of your security guards, ( a white guy with glasses in a company Preis) again with no mask out talking to the tree trimmers who were all gloved and masked???? Its companies like this that do not enforce global health mandates that will keep the rest of us quarantined while others die because of their lack of social conscious. read more

Manager and Supervisor are SO judgy! Even though they are desperate for employees, they treat them badly and expect the employee to just take it! They fired a person because of the way he looked, even though he was a hard-worker and always showed up...even came in on day off to help. They yelled and cursed at him frequently. There is just no pleasing some people...those who have feminist/gender issues should not be in supervisory positions. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO CHANGE!!! read more

The security guard leaves his vehicle and start screaming at me to move. This is as the other vehicle was leaving. I rolled my window down and said I am taking the spot now. My Prius was parked in a small strip mall parking lot. An Allied Universal security guard was posted in the lot. I went into the Taco Bell to buy some lunch and in the fifteen minutes I was inside, a car came into the parking lot and pulled alongside my car. Two men hopped out, jacked my car up and went to work on my catalytic converter with a sawzaw. After coming outside, starting my car, and heard the obvious fact as to the theft, I approached the "security" guard and confronted him with what had just happened under his watch. He said nothing but stared with a dumbfounded look on his face. I spent the next hour talking to the businesses in the strip mall to get surveillance footage and called the police. They have a terrible towing company named Tows R Us that damaged my tailights. I reported it to this security and they said there was damage but they weren't liable for it. I am the President of an HOA in Southern California's Inland Empire. We have contracted with Allied Universal (formally Universal Protection Service) for several years. Over the past year or two, there has been a notable decline in their service, specifically their inability to follow post orders. The quality of their employees range from excellent to terrible. The main issue issue was management's lack of follow-up, concern, or customer service. Complaints to management repetatly went unanswered. Their employee morale was nonexistent. When our HOA Board of Directors, in an attempt to resolve the numerous issues, invited the regional manager to a meeting, he failed to show up, even after confirming his attendance earlier that day. When he finally came to the next meeting, he assured us that he would reassign a supervisor to our account. That supervisor was far worse than the person she replaced. She was both aloof and incompetent. As a business owner myself, I am well aware that the quality of employees vary. In Allied Universal's case, it's the management, or lack thereof, that caused us to terminate their services in favor of another more customer-centric company. I would not recommend Allied Universal to anyone who expects even the smallest amount of customer service. read more

What the hell are you not doing. Get off your chair and walk the structure. There has been no action plan to resolve and dismissive and condescending answers or comments from the security themselves. Since i started working for Allied Universal Security Services, there has been several management changeovers. The latest manager in East Hartford , CT. doesn't seem to care, very rarely returns messages or phone calls. Recently i filled in for a coworker who took some vacation time. During this time. i was told i was being Red Flagged for excessive overtime. Wouldn't you think if they wanted to avoid the excessive overtime, they would have tried to send a floater ? Several months later both the coworker and i have been replaced by technology. I have learned that several people have given false reports about us NOT doing our jobs. I contacted the boss at Allied and i was told to come to the office anytime the next week. I complied with this and the boos was "conveinently" out of the office. Update IV: I went down to the Allied security office on Eastern @ Flamingo in Las Vegas, NV. The useless secretary at the Allied Office let Felipe and/or Francisco know I was here. Felipe and Francisco are the boneheads that hired me and manage the site, Grand Legacy, that I work for... However, they would not let me see them face to face. She said Felipe or Francisco are " busy and are off work soon ". I asked when one of them is off work and she declined to say. They seemed too cowardly to see me, so instead they decided to text me instead. They said they fixed my hours but I can't trust them anymore without a hardcopy as evidence. This is the 2nd week in a row that my hours are incorrect. - Let alone my "paid time off" from Christmas time I Never Got Paid For - I swear I will call in the state of Nevada for legal action. Seriously all these companies, especially Allied Universal Security are FULL OF SUCH GREED AND LIES! Id rather put up with a McDonald's employee than anyone working at the Allied Security office. Update III: THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THAT ALLIED UNIVERAL SECURITY HAS SHORTED ME ON MY PAYCHECK! Update II: https://youtu.be/ODbPZp3gr-o Looks like they hire any living being anywhere you live. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qd8eoimLDZ4 Update I: The company I work for here fails to pay me for the overtime I actually worked for. I WORKED HERE OVER A YEAR NOW AND TOOK MY FIRST VACTION DAYS OFF (DID NOT TAKE ANY SICK DAYS OFF) - THEY DIDNT PAY FOR MY TIME OFF. IN NEVADA AS OF 2020 YOU MUST GET PAID TIME OFF! Initial Review: =FIND QUALIFIED AND RELIABLE INDIVIDUALS FOR GRAND LEGACY!= I'm grateful to be here, but for being a large company I expect more. The site I work at they assign entry level employees that are NOT responsible or on-time. Ones that are relatively new and are late often because they don't have a personal car. Including high turnover rates. This isn't temporary anymore, sadly becoming the new normal. Starting to feel like it means nothing when I arrive 5 minutes before/on time to the shift and then the next person is typically over 10-15 minutes or hour(s) late. They just called me in on my day off. I predict they'll be calling me every time I htoe a two days off. read more

Whatever you do, don't work for this company! I worked for this company just under a year and left April 6 of this year! The company will work you to death and use loopholes to get around paying your overtime correctly! My manger Jose would mess up on my paychecks more then one Occasion. When confronted about it he would always take forever to get back to me. Whenever you have an issue and try to go to HR they will not help you and if you have an issue with your paycheck good luck because only your manager can fix it. When I left Allied security company they never gave me my last paycheck and we went on for 14 days back-and-forth so finally I received my paycheck with penalty pay! Former Account Manager, I worked for Allied at Amazon in Euclid, OH. I had a sick father in Nc. So a lot of my off days was traveling. The operation manager "Laura" doesn't know anything about security when u ask a account manager does the employee know their pay is short. Not sure Laura. Well let's see if they don't say anything. I can't do that just pay them what they are owed. I have seen officer miss pay and I have paid my officers out of pocket. Because HR and Laura refused to pay employees. I also seen officers be discriminated against that were transferred to my site for standing up for another blk employee while the client and other staff were drawing face on a black ladies picture while posted on the window. See if you can find out what happen? I refused that. See if u make him a supervisor would he cancel the law suit. That's not my business I can't interfere with lawsuits. I was asked to let people go because the office didn't care for them. The client isn't always right, because they don't know security at all they know loss Prevention. They are not the same. read more

First of all this is a great security company. But there are things I should point out. When they hire you the other guards train you instead of the supervisor. I was leaving anyway but he did not have to snitch like a baby because he was stuck there. I received a called by a Maria she did want to give a last name (cool) to go to the office in Orange to interview for security position. When I arrived I spent hour and half waiting to be interviewed. When I finally thought I was going to be interviewed by this fat bold Hispanic guy, he whisper the receptionist who secretly pointed at me. I said to myself I'm finally going to be interviewed, I knew it was my application that he had on his hands because I had scribble on the back, then he nodded negatively and went back inside the office to his cubicle. I approach the receptionist (who kept watching videos or playing games) to ask for the guy's name (he looked like Don Cheto on tv) and she got upset until she rudely told his name was Ely (no last name again). Ely was arrogant like he was the owner of the company (hopefully owners are not like that) then waited longer. Another guy came in, this time a short bold guy (another bold) ignorant like no other, he has no clue what security is about and ended telling me that he will call someone else and to wait longer in the lobby, while with Juan this other guy who Juan called KB came in the interview and CURSE!! I've worked for this company for about a year total and their management is entirely disorganized. They sometimes forget to pay you or they say you didn't work even though they use an automated system for clocking in and out. Your shift handler tends to not answer the phone and also the field managers like to give employees attitude (they probably shouldn't act all tough behind a phone). This company doesn't take very good care of their employees and I recommend others to look elsewhere for work. Also, depending on the post, if you like having your 8 mandatory hours of rest (required by law) between shifts violated, go right ahead and work for this company. If you also like hitting a glass ceiling as soon as you join and want to be paid the same rate the entire time you work here, again, go right on in and apply. read more
