RGR replaced a pretty complex roof for us on our oceanfront home. The roof is a low slope roof and is metal framed and welded to the metal frame of the actual home. We initially spoke with Elliot Rue and from the first conversation, we could tell this company focuses on quality detailed work not just turning a job. Both the owner, Greg, and Greg Ford met us at the house to go over the specifics of the job and the logistics of moving and storing materials on the barrier island. We were kept in the loop throughout the process and we sent many pictures during installation. I am impressed with the skill of the crew as well as the oversight by both owner and supervisor as the work progressed. We will be meeting this fall to go over some other upgrades to our house. With confidence, I strongly recommend using RGR Construction!

We used Venters' Construction for our roof in Rutherfordton, NC. Brent stopped by one day and…read morequoted less than the other contractors. He stopped by several times before the project began to explain the steps. He has great communication and never left us hanging. He also cared for our historic house, making sure the original moldings remained. He was there the entire time his crew was working, and after a huge roof project, I found only two nails in the entire yard. They left everything clean and tidy. After the hurricane, he was the first person to stop by to check on us and the roof.

Venters construction is only in for the money. Forget customer satisfaction…read more Venters tell you that you'll be paying $32.50 per hour. Then tell you that it will take approximately one day to complete. Then give you a contract to sign that says $32.50 per man hour. Then 3 guys show up. So you start off thinking it's going to take one day will cost 8 hours times $32 or $ 256. Surprise! It does take one day. But it takes 3 guys one day- ooops- that's $800.00! They talk about trucks and about sports and all kinds of stuff while actually charging ALMOST $100.00 per hour!! Wow- that's a lot of money to watch guys stand around and shoot the breeze. Venters left a pile of debris in the driveway of a rental home from Monday until Wednesday. The neighbors piled their debris on top in the driveway. Landscapers came by and piled their debris on top. Even though Vetners knew there was twice as much debris in the pile because they didn't haul it away in a timely manner- they thought it was perfectly fine to charge me to haul all the additional stuff. Then they were hired to clear out, clean up and make level a section of property and given a strict dollar amount not to exceed. They did not clear out, clean up and make level anything. Instead they tore out a huge section of overgrowth, destroyed some landscaping in the yard and left a huge mess. Then they wanted more money to finish. I paid then more money to finish but it still is not cleared out, cleaned up and level. Why? They need more money! They can't believe I thought it would look nice for the amount I paid! The owner of Venters told me that he knew it would not look the way we discussed because he wasn't using the proper equipment. But of course he didn't tell me this until AFTER he had billed me. I will never use this company again. They do a bad job then want more and more money to fix it. Stay away.

During installation , Dax was concerned about a pending weather forecast calling for rain. They worked Saturday & Sunday to complete the job ahead of the storm. At the end of each day on the job they cleaned up all materials & left everything in order. We could not be more pleased & appreciate a job well done. Thank you Dax & crew.

The first time I hired them I needed the cartridge in the master shower replaced as the shower didn't turn at all. Not only did they replace it but they had a spare, basic showerhead in their truck they installed for free labor and no charge for the part, as they said the lime buildup on my original was awful. Very thoughtful and it's this sort of service that makes them my go-to home repair business.

I could not find ANY local plumbers who were willing to come out on a Friday, and did not want to go until Monday with non-functional faucets. Will and Michelle were able to come out the same day as the granite guys, installing both of my faucets. Then I wanted to have the valve trim replaced on two showers and two garden tubs. This ended up being much more complicated than expected, as there were some issues with the new trim I had selected. They must have gone to a dozen different places doing research and hunting down the appropriate adapters and parts for me. Even though this was a lot of extra work they had not anticipated, they still honored the original price they quoted. (Much better experience than two other local guys who took one look at the job and then left me hanging!) Wil works efficiently and takes pride in his work. I kept finding more things for him to fix for me ... he repaired my kitchen disposal and fixed a huge gap underneath my front door. He gave me some excellent quotes on installing a new water heater and some light fixtures, so I will be calling him again for those things. I definitely recommend this company!

This Chris guy completely sucks and wasted my time! First off He missed our first Scheduled…read moreappointment and Then had a excuse that made no sense why he pulled a no call no show! It took another week just to get him here, then after that. I give him 2 weeks plus a third ( for holiday reasons and his busy schedule, pretty much benifit of dought) & to get my estimate out to me .He has a excuse each week on why nothing's been sent over ! Look I have had someone recently work on my house called Coco construction and they did a terrible job and scammed me out of 2 grand I have a entire siding and decking that needs another whole replacement. Wilmington home improvement where supposed to have my back and fix what happened he made me feel safe at first . But they have done nothing but play games and give me Excuses! I felt like I have been treated even worse then coco Construstruction treated me . So Can I just please find a truthful and upfront and dedicated company for once! Like Jesus what's so hard about caring for you're customers?! So don't believe the fake reviews they have posted guys . He sucks and on first appearance he looked to me like he was on some drugs even if half the time he did have a few intelligent remarks but just wait till YOU see for yourself if you choose! Overall Not a good pick if you're just a average hardworking person ! He's just trying to make himself look good with all the helping photos from big easy jobs due to the storm for big Businesses and rich people or people that at least live very comfortably! I can understand being busy but there's no excuse for this treatment. I know he has been receiving my messages because we both have iPhones it tells me. So listen people I'm not just a a up tight and ignorant person that's just pissed off , NO! because if he didn't want this job or to help us he should have just said that from the start not beat around the bush, so I can find someone else. I even asked him if he plans on wasting my time and is too busy for this job I will find someone else's I just need to know now... this was after waiting a week and half for a freaking estimate! That let me remind you the estimate wasn't that difficult I'm sure of it and he said he would help me with a statement on how the previous work done was not correct so I did really feel at first he was being a good person . His response to my question was - (Chris) " I would never waste you're time I am sorry" but look how far that got me ! Then every week after was "I'm busy I'm sorry I will get it out to u this evening " but every week & day nothing ! And if that's how he is about a damn estimate I would hate to see how he works ! nobody has time for a LIAR! I hope this review helps whomever is reading , because I strongly suggest you pick someone else, I don't ever post reviews about people but lately people keep screwing me over and this guy knew about that, the website claims to be 24/7 emergency service and they are honest and reliable . None of that is true tho and if it is true then it most certainly didn't include me on that type of treatment after patently waiting for weeks and being very respectful up until today!
