Andy is very knowledgeable, professional, and very dedicated to his work. It was a pleasure working with him. He guided me though the entire mortgage process. He is very organized and precise. He made the mortgage process easy and offered great guidance throughout the entire process. He was always quick to respond to all of my questions and was always easily accessible. Andy also went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met and that everything was handled thoroughly and efficiently. He was able to refinance my current home and close on a new construction all within a month span. I absolutely enjoyed working with him and will continue to recommend him in the future. We actaully haven't done any business with Allied First but they did ask us for a furniture quote. We spent a couple of hours responding to a request from Bobby Stines and sent over a detailed proposal and a set of drawings. When I called to follow up, Bobby, said "We're all set. Thanks" and hung up on me. Nothing major, but when someone is that disrespectful, it says something about them and the way they do business. Take it for what it's worth. Just my two cents. read more

I was in the process of refinancing my mortgage with Allied. I was asked for my credit card for the appraisal which I shouldn't have done. in the meantime I found someone else that gave me a better rate. Allied ran my credit card for the appraisal for $650.00 even though the appraisal was paid for with my refinancing. I now have a dispute going on for this charge. I have contacted Eric and he says the charge was correct so the appraisal could be paid. if that is the case, the appraisal has been paid for twice. This was a VA refinance and VA shows the appraisal was paid for by the company that I refinanced with and not Allied. I am still waiting for the $650.00 to be credited to my card. read more

Received a direct mailing from Allied today, was curious so I gave them a call. They could actually get my mortgage lower but unfortunately I just finished a refinance so can't get another on back to back. Spoke to a young man by the name of Mike Penka, he was quite courteous and informative, since I haven't done business with them as I stated for obvious reasons, I can't speak from firsthand experience... but give Mike a call I am willing to bet he can assist you with a better rate if you qualify. While the process is never a simple one, we can all use assistance during these times of unpredictability. Mike Penka 1-602-329-1717 read more

I've been doing business with Allied First Bank since before they became a bank. They started off as a Credit Union. I have used them for all kinds of banking services and must report they do a fine job. Personalized caring customer service is what I've come to expect from them and they never disappoint! read more

BEWARE! This bank sends extremely slimey solicitations! "Our review indicates that your waiting period has been marked as expired as of October 1, 2018....The letter advises me it is my "first notice" and I must call their FHA Options Specialist by November 16, 2018 to receive a detailed explanation of the options available...yada, yada, yada. I don't have ANY mortgage on the referenced property (let alone an FHA mortgage) and NEVER HAVE in the 32 years I have owned it! The Attorney General's Office is my next call... read more

This company is the WORST! After numerous requests they still continue to send emails, blocking and spam filters do not seem to work. Now they're sending mail that looks like official county court documents in the mail. STOP ALREADY. read more

We had been working with AlliedFirst bank since late September/early October on a refi to lower out interest rate on our mortgage. I was instructed not to make my mortgage payment for November 1st as we would be closing before the 15th. Early this week I received a call saying we would be closing by today. As of today I have heard nothing more from our loan officer, Mike Croski, and after today our mortgage payment is late. We have never, EVER, missed a mortgage payment in 30 years of making payments on three different houses. I have had numerous calls from various lenders in the last few weeks, all of which I have ignored because we were supposed to close this week. After this experience with Allied First Bank, I would caution anyone thinking of doing business with them not to do it! read more

We had the best experience with Allied First Bank! They truly go ABOVE and beyond for their clients! We used Brock and he was so helpful! He answered all our questions and was there every step of the way! He kept us up to date with everything he was working on for us! He found us the best rate and got our house closed on time! We will definitely be using Brock and Allied First Bank forever! read more

The worst experience ever (understatement) started loan process in May, now It's October. Have gotten many "approved" confirmations, then every week they are asking for new documents. Communication is terrible! They are a middle man and will charge you 1.4% of the loan for doing nothing but send documents to Mortgage company. They can't answer questions, terrible unorganized. Don't get sucked in, I warned you read more

I had the pleasure of working with John Waddle for the refinancing of my home. He was very patient with me and my husband and was there for us to answer questions at all times of the day! Refinanced my mortgage and I must say Johnny made the process so stress free. Shortly after starting the process my father passed away and Johnny was extremely understanding and flexible with me. Started the process in May and still waiting to close. We were supposed to close 10-17 but at the last minute they wanted me to explain my less than 40 hours every other week schedule. I am on a 12-hour swing shift! Pretty easy to figure out since they have all my pay stubs. Also, since the rate skyrocketed and they hadn't locked us back in, I had to buy down the points, which was an additional 4k in money. Money has been wired to escrow and still waiting to close today. When sending them emails, they will respond to it in the morning but then you hear nothing the rest of the day. It's like they work part time. Very frustrating experience and I would not recommend anyone use this company read more

Matthew Wood at Allied First was very helpful and professional. We had a great experience through our refinance.

They have called me 15 times in a week to talk about a loan that I am not on for my fiancé. I have told them each time to quit calling me and was even told by a manager that I was being taken off of their list and yet they are still calling me. I will NEVER do any kind of bison with them since they can't manage to quit harassing me about something I don't want. Plus they also tried to tell me that they are the only company that an FHA loan will work with when I know for a fact that they are not. If I could give them no stars than I would but I have to leave one in order to even leave them a review. read more

Allied First Bank is truly a community oriented bank and business. They have helped myself and my business so much and at little benefit to themselves. I believe they truly believe in investing in the community and small business, as well as generally caring for their customers well-being. After my business had a fire, they went far out of their way, and above what is expected, or what a bank is responsible to do, to help us get our finances back in order. A lot of good and kind people here. I wouldn't bank anywhere else read more

Stay away from them! Have been in escrow on a home over 35 days with no solid close date yet. File was approved but Allied has not performed. Nothing but empty promises and no action. I have purchased homes before and the lack of service received is ridiculous. NO concern for your money or time here! Tammy Theiner, Cassandra Rosales and Lisa Kuda are liars! Once you begin to ask questions about what is taking so long, they start making excuses that make no sense. Will be filing a complaint with the CFPB. I am out of over $1,500 and months of time. SCAM company that preys on Veterans. Sends fraudulent documents in the postal mail designed to con veterans into refinancing their homes. Documents closely mimic county tax assessor documents unless you read the fine print. Dubious at best and at worst, outright fraud. AVOID. read more

Everything started out wonderful with Johnny Grant then process became radio silent. I finally received a call from Jackson alleged supervisor of Johnny who stated Johnny was out and he would be handling things going forward. I was cool with that then date of closing was approaching and I left 2 messages with Jackson and heard nothing. I decided to move forward with refi thru existing lender. As I move forward and the rate would be similar I emailed Allied rep Johnny only email I had to advise was cancelling loan refi with them. I didn't hear anything back. went thru some emails and found Johnny's supervisor name on email which was Nathaniel Curran. I called him to advise I needed to cancel and wanted confirmation of it. He advised Johnny no longer with company and that at this point they could not do anything for me anyway since rates had gone up. He was very cold and callus and didn't care that the rate wasn't locked because they dropped the ball on their end not mine and didn't even offer to attempt to apologize or keep my business. This is just bad business. I am posting this so others will know in the long run Allied First Bank does not hold themselves accountable and will deliver bad service in the end. I received a late fee from existing mortgage that they didn't offer to cover(I paid b4 30 days thank god lost trust in Allied) I am happy to report I just signed refi documents successfully and funded new loan Nate Curran. I can email you closing docs if you like. I don't like how you treated me like I was no one after you all dropped the ball! read more

I get 1-3 direct mailings from this company EVERY week. I have called and I have written to be taken off their mailing list. They just keep coming. They say it can take up to 30 days, it's going on 3 months. The few people I have spoken to start off nice then become raging A-holes when I ask to be removed (and yes, I am asking nicely). Incredibly unprofessional. read more

Allied First Bank hires crooks without doing background check on their employees. A basic internet check would have shown that a Matt Y. Regional manager with the bank has a history of cheating people. He cheated me during a home refinance process in 2012. He told me that my loan will be no cost, no points etc and all that was a big lie. He cheated my approx. $3000 during that process. When escalated with in his previous employer, American Nationwide Mortgage, he got a friend of his to misrepresent as a manager and blatantly lie to me. Avoid anywhere Matt Y works. read more

My son's bank account was hacked and went round and round with management who did NOTHING to help us! We reported it and then they strung it along and said we didn't do anything so basically my 18 year old son who worked all summer for college is out of $1500! We choose this bank as it was in our town and thought they were involved with students in the district on programs, etc. Well, all I know is my student was douped out of a large sum of money and they kept pointing fingers at us! Go to another better known bank where you can escalate issues! Update: My son just pulled his money out of this bank which had been frozen while he was in college due to ongoing issues and closed his account. No apologies or anything - just basically half the money he worked for all last summer gone for college. We filed a police report, etc. and did all we could to reconcile this and all we were was blamed for the theft! What the heck??? May need to still consider filing a complaint with the BBB especially after reading some of the other reviews! read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! I received a notice in the mail from them regarding my mortgage that I had only had for 5 months. When I called the number on the notice I spoke with a man named John Martin who informed me that I was eligible for a program called "IRRL" which would lower my interest rate from a 3.625% to a 2% (who wouldn't be sold?). He stated that he was going to send an e-mail with the documents I needed to gather and they were going to have a notary come to my house to gather the necessary documents, he also stated that the e-mail would include his direct contact information including his cell number. I should've been weary when the e-mail was just that a list of documents and his fancy official looking signature block (no greeting, no explanation, no closing, etc... super unprofessional). I received a call from the paralegal/notary confirming our appointment and was concerned because she kept referring to "the loan I was taking out". When she arrived a few days later she started handing me paperwork for a completely new home loan and then started talking about refinancing, closing costs and fees. At this point, I was beginning to feel extremely uncomfortable with moving forth with the process. I called the "cell phone number" for the agent and received a generic "555-1234 is not available" voicemail. I then called the number on my notice and "no one is available to take your call at this time" I called the cell number again this time he picked up. No "Good Morning, what can I do for you..." it was "Hey Betty.". I told him I was not happy with him because he didn't disclose that I was refinancing my home and his response was "well I guess it's kinda like a refinance" I told him "no, I have the paperwork right in front of me and even the notary that HE hired said it was a refinance, so not only was he not up front with me but then he tried to BS his way out of it." I told him there was no way I would do business with someone who was not honest with me and that I did not trust. Not only did he lose my business but the Paralegal also said that was not legitimate and she will never work for them again either. The only reason they are getting 1 star is because 0 or negative stars are not an option! read more

If I could give negative stars I would , these people have zero respect for the working man/woman and they simply don't care, for a veteran or his pregnant wife to even respond to a request ... all I asked for was a response and the "president" doesn't even type a hello, shameful ! read more

We want to thank Cassandra Rosales at Allied First Bank for the wonderful job she did with our mortgage. The mortgage process is never a simple one, especially with today's mortgage rules and qualification requirements. Casey made the entire process palatable. She took the time to explain to us exactly what we needed and guided us through the entire mortgage process. Going through the process we really felt that Casey was our guide and advocate just as much as she was the Loan Officer. She broke down the steps and clearly explained each one. Sure we asked a lot of questions! But she answered each one to our satisfaction. We really felt comfortable with Casey. Her friendly and cheerful voice was one that I would hear regularly to give us an update on the process. She made sure that we knew exactly where we were, even taking the time to give us updates on her days off. We think that she did an outstanding job and deserves much appreciation! She went the extra mile for us and it really made a difference! read more

Anyone looking for a home loan should inquire at Allied First and ask to speak to Richard Pratt. If Richard doesn't answer he will call you back. I lived in CA and found Richard name on a web site. Yes, many times but I have learned even if I use someone else because their rates and terms are better, Richard will evaluate my decision and tell me the other company can provide a better deal, Who does that in banking? This place deserves ZERO stars. I have been working on a refinance for months and they have given me nothing but problems. They called my insurance agent to try to make him change my policy. They told me to hold a payment, then pay it, then do a stop payment, then reverse the stop payment. I am now on a time crunch to try to figure out if I'm up to date with my payments since they only protect my credit until the end of this year, 3 days away. They tried to tell me my closing costs would be close to $4000 yet they were able to get it down to 1550 even though they told me from the beginning it would be equal to my current mortgage payment. Ive never had such issues with a bank in my life. I canceled the refinance, paying extra in interest is worth it not to deal with this bank. read more

Austin made my mortgage refi experience so incredibly easy with his genuine knowledge of the industry, respectful and professional approach, and optimistic attitude. I had a lot of questions and concerns initially regarding the security of completing this complex process all online and via email, during this time when in-person meetings were not an option. Austin patiently answered every question, provided reassurance again and again, and with his regular check-in phone calls, kept me in the loop every step of the way. I will absolutely refer him to anyone I know who is looking for help with current or future mortgages. read more

I cannot stress enough what a nightmare of an experience I had in my refinance experience here. It took them almost four months to process my loan from start to finish. FIRST Notice-Waiting Period Complete! Like many of the reviews I have read on Allied First Bank, I too received a letter. The way the letter is written it appears that I have almost $20,000 in overpayments that will somehow disappear if I don't contact them and reference the number they provided. The funny thing is every time I have tried to call the number I get the same computer voice message saying, "No one is available to answer your call at this time". Buyer Beware..... They send aggressive, misrepresented solicitations will say "NOTICE DATE" trying to appear as if they are sending info from the county or other official organization. They will send these solicitations weekly, sometimes twice a week. After received these over and over for MONTHS I called and ordered they cease and desist on 1/22/19, received two solicitations on that day. I spoke with a representative that was rather rude and was sent over to the manager Brad. Brad continued to try and press saying they needed my interest rate to remove me. I let them know that ANY further communication will be treated as harassment and prosecuted accordingly. Well I guess Brad decided to continue to be a tool and send another harassing solicitation with a "notice date" of 1/24/19. Uh oh, barked up the wrong tree, forwarded the information to my attorney.
