I've been with them…read more50 years and have always had a great working relationship with them, so have stayed with them. UNTIL NOW, since they've been taken over by Consumers Credit Union. What a horrid, unresponsive, negligent, customer-hostile organization it is! I closed my accounts there shortly before the takeover and was told my balances would be sent by mail. As it's now been a few weeks and I haven't received my check yet, I'm interested in learning the status of this transaction. All inquiries now go to the Consumers Credit phone number. I've called 3x now and have been on hold for an hour and a half. There is no other number given to call, and I'm unable to speak with a human about this. Horrible, woefully deficient customer relations and from what I've read elsewhere, a positively dreadful company to do business with. PUT YOUR MONEY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT CONSUMERS CREDIT UNION.

I had two car loans with KCT and for the most part it was okay until today. I went in to pay off my…read moreone car loan and worked with one of the tellers to pay off the loan. It was about an hour before closing and I was the only customer inside the branch. I was at the counter for ten minutes to finish the transaction. I had questions on when I would receive the title. I than had to to meet with a person to make sure my automated payments were stopped. I signed in and ended up waiting for 5 - 10 minutes for a assistant when Janira Gomez came up to assist me in stopping the automatic payments. Now mind you I just paid off my car 30 feet from her desk. This is a wide open room where everyone can see each other and hear each other. I showed her my ID, gave her my receipt and explained to her that I needed to stop the automated payments on my loan. She was not pleasant, to the point of being rude and combative. I couldn't remember my account # or my password to my account so she needed to look me up through my address and SS#, this seemed to make her even more upset with me. So mind you she knows who I am, she has my ID, my payoff receipt and she just saw me standing with the tellers for ten minutes and she asks me to take off my hat for security purposes. I complied and asked why? She said it was so that the cameras could see my face and identify me. Yeah, I'm the really smart criminal who just hands over my ID, pays off a loan with certified check and shares my SS#. Janira Gomez was on some kind of power trip. I grinned and asked, do you get a lot of gang bangers in here? She was obviously not a happy person and not good at working with customers. It just seems like there is no appreciation for the business that I've given to KCT. I mean if your rude to paying customers what does that say about your business? The Aurora IL location gets two stars on Yelp. I gave them one. Hopefully they will change.

Old seconds team was very swift with informing me the system was updating overnight and unfortunately with the check being on hold it was a very rare error in the system. I spoke with a manager and he informed me they would get the check cleared much faster than expected as a way to make up for the issue. Very satisfied with the customer service.

Had a charge that did not belong on my account. Called customer service, and let me say the one thing they do not provide is service, to try to get some help. Basically got absolutely nothing, was told it could take up to two months I had three different forms to fill out and a bunch of hoops to jump through. I think it would've been easier if they would've just told me to go screw myself and hung up the phone. I have been banking with them for over 30 years now, this is the first time I can recall having any kind of dispute on my debit card and unfortunately I realized at that point I was on my own. I would definitely recommend using a more reputable bank who supports their customers when they have an issue. I'm just glad it was not a large sum of money that would've been tied up for two months.
