Stay FAR away from this company! The address used on their website is the address of a UPS store in San Clemente, CA. They don't even have a real office. My experience was so problematic and traumatic that there is too much here to mention but at the end of the day the car was never picked up and they charged me for it anyway. They said someone from billing would call me to explain why, but they never have called and every time I call them there is magically no one in billing available and "in the office". Back in April I contacted Allied Auto Transport and worked with Tim. My father passed away and I was trying to help my mom out in moving her back to CA. I was quoted a price of $1545 to ship (and $300 to tow from my mom's address to the port in Kahului) from Maui to Oakland CA. I told him that I would not be shipping until August/September. He told me in email that price would still be good. On 7-14-22 he emailed me and stated that "the price remains the same in August/September." On 7-28-22, Tim emailed me that there was a "slight increase". This slight increase was 30% more. Mind you, since I was shipping the car on 8-17-22 it's within 30 days so it made it more challenging to find another shipping company. On 8-16-22 (the day before getting picked up by the towing company) Tim emails me and mentions that the written permission note (this is required when shipping from Hawaii to the mainland) that it had to be NOTARIZED. This is the first time this was mentioned to me. In the confirmation email when I booked this it said "If a vehicle is leaving the Islands and coming back to the mainland, HI requires written permission from the owner." Nothing written from them ever mentions it being notarized. I mentioned to him that it wasn't in the companies confirmation email nor had he ever told me that it had to be notarized. Don't get me wrong, I understand but since we were moving the following day I had a lot of other things on my mind to argue with him. When I got back to the mainland I emailed Tim about these 2 issues. He showed zero empathy and didn't take any responsibility for what happened. I mean, didn't his email on 7-14 telling me my price was good count for anything? We had maybe 30 emails from April til August and he never mentioned the notary and yet he dismissed my latest email by saying that "you didn't seem to mind" when he talked to me. Once again, we talked the DAY BEFORE the vehicle was shipped out. How about a little accountability on not mentioning it for the past 5 months and apologizing that even though I was busy that I had to get it done that day... They damaged my motorcycle. Allied assured me they hired drivers who were highly experienced with shipping motorcycles. Unfortunately, the driver did not know anything about motorcycles and he strapped down my front-end using car straps and overtightened them, breaking the seal on my front fork. With towing and the repair, it cost over $800. During all this, Allied assured me they would cover these costs but now they have gone "radio silent" on me. Thus, I highly recommend you consider another company for shipping your motorcycle. read more

We needed to transport a new BMW from Pacific BMW to a second home back east. When reaching out to Allied Auto Transport, we interacted with Bobby. Bobby was very responsive, informative and got us an amazing quote for an enclosed transport. Allied was not among the cheapest quotes we received but we were okay with that as in many cases, the saying is true, you get what you pay for! For us, this was absolutely true when dealing with Bobby at Allied Auto Transport! The driver arrived at Pacific BMW virtually the exact time he said he would. After a physical inspection of the vehicle was performed, the driver carefully and methodically loaded the car. We asked how many days would it take before the vehicle would arrive at its destination and he said probably five or fewer. The driver apparently drove almost non-stop because the vehicle arrived in four days which was amazingly fast! Overall, we are very happy with the front and back end service from Bobby as well as the speed in which the vehicle arrived at our home. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! The first day of contact was November 30th 2018. I received a quote, and was later contacted by an employee named Dave Bailey. Dave sent me the forms to be filled out instantly (the only time I ever received a response in a timely manner, go figure). I completed the form exactly a week later on December 7th, 2018 stating the car would be ready for transportation to NY from CA December 10-12th, since they do request you give them a three day window for pick up. My flight was December 13th, so I needed the car to be picked up on the dates I provided. December 13th comes around, and I haven't heard from either Dave or the company despite my numerous emails, and calls. My car wasn't delivered for over 3 weeks. I spent hundreds of dollars for cabs, lyfts, and ubers for weeks since my car wasn't delivered the day it was promised. I've emailed, texted, and called multiple times for a response to my claim requesting they refund me a portion of my money. I've had zero luck. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THEY WORK THROUGH SUBCONTRACTORS. I should've researched this company a little more instead of relying on the reviews written on yelp. There are plenty dissatisfied customers with the same issues I've discussed. The 5 star reviews seem to be people with little to no reviews other than the one written for this scam of a company. They also have cases open with the Better Business Bureau which will now include mine. This company appears to be fraudulent. They are simply a broker using independent truckers. I had a challenging cross country move of a non-running car, and the trucker they hired did a great job. However, Allied never paid the trucker, even though I had paid in full prior to pick-up (and have CC receipt to prove so). The trucker started contacting me after they told him I needed to pay him directly. I contacted the sales person at Allied directly that I had arranged the transport through (Dave Bailey) and he promised he would get to the bottom of it and get back to me. I never heard back, and have now called several times without any resolution. The trucker has spoken with him numerous times as well. I am going to take this to civil court on behalf of the trucker as he doesn't have the resources to do so. Allied is clearly taking advantage of the trucker. Do not use this company. read more

Don't use these guys. They put a dent in the roof of my car and tried to cover it up. I received the vehicle and all the tires were down below 20 psi. Apparently, they ran the car into the upper rail on the truck and had to lower the pressure to make it fit. No one said a thing. Allied was not willing to work with me. This review is focused on the speed of service and kindness of the office personnel - especially Dave - since I had to cancel the service due to issues with my vehicle repair plan and did not need transport services. I'm from Washington and my boyfriend and I were driving down to Monterey/Carmel to visit family for Thanksgiving. Our transmission went out and after much thinking we decided to ship our 1990 VW van back up to our local mechanic to avoid bay area prices on a transmission job which is already expensive. I called several shipping companies and I have to say I think this industry is one of the most slimy out there after talking with so many companies :( However when I called Allied Auto it felt genuine. They weren't following a script which was such a relief - I got real people! I was quoted a price right around what another lovely company quoted but Allied Auto was able to do it almost a full week earlier. This was great since a VW van is bigger than most cars and they were able to accommodate that when many others couldn't. Signing up on the phone was easy - Dave was great. After our conversation I was sent an email with contact information just in case. The next day, within 24 hours of my initial call, they had a truck lined up for me! I think this is mostly due to their organizational prowess but also a little luck - so don't get unrealistic expectations. Now I mentioned I had to cancel the service and when I called to do so I learned in this industry there is usually a hefty cancellation​ fee. However the gentleman working the day before Thanksgiving (I forget his name but he was also 'Dave level good') was able to work out an agreement with me which was just what I needed. Overall this company is professional and helpful - staffed by regular good people, not unfortunate call center employees. They listened to what I needed! That's a welcome change in a sleezy, competitive industry. *Word to the wise! Read the reviews Yelp decided to take down when shopping for a Transport Service. Save yourself time and avoid these movers. If you ever happen to work with Dave Bailey, good luck. Cars were supposed to be picked up on 6/29, no call, no message and repeated calls to Dave went unanswered or he didn't provide anything useful. If you notice previous comments you will see that they sub-contract the move and so have no guarantees on delivery. No amount of talking or escalating up the chain is going to help, since the actual shipment is sub-contracted . Cars were shipped out 6/30 and the cars are still not here in Austin. On 7/6, trucks were in El Paso. Today is 7/11 and the cars are still in El Paso. I call every morning and its a unique excuse everyday. Now I am told it may be delivered on Monday, 7/16, but that's also not guaranteed. We have a 1 year old and are in Texas where a car is mandatory. If you have reasonable expectations from a moving company look elsewhere. read more

Had an ok experience with these guys until they shipped my vehicle. In the process, the driver lost my key fob, which turned into an absolute disaster and a complete headache. It cost hours of my time and energy on the phone with the dealership, with Allied Auto, and with the driver. I gave them four stars just because they actually delivered my car in a perfect condition. One star missing because in my opinion; speed of service, and customer service in particular, is lacking. First of all, cheers to Bobby for being the only one who guaranteed my car to be picked up on my specific date and time. I got in contact with him just less than a week before the specified pickup. Pickup times are usually put in a period of a few days, but my car needed to be picked up on that specific day because we were catching a flight. Bobby communicated with me the whole time, but often I had to get to him first; that is, through Yelp messages, in order to get him tell where my car is. Here's why I was not completely satisfied. My car was picked up on the 2nd in Los Angeles. On the 5th, I asked Bobby when my car was going to arrive in Seattle. He said, the earliest would be Sunday. Sunday I didn't hear anything, so I asked again. On Monday, he said the driver was leaving on Tuesday latest. However, I tracked where my car was and it still hadn't moved. I kept asking until Tuesday night, until at some point Bobby told me "Just relax, you will have your car on Thursday." I said, "I trust you Bobby." He said "Good." On Wednesday, the car was in some other place, but obviously not in its way to Seattle yet, it was in Tracy. So I asked again. Didn't get a reply, so I called the office and was told dispatch still has it on target for Thursday. The car hadn't moved again after an hour or so, and I sent him a message saying "Hey Bobby, the car hasn't moved." He told me "The driver went the wrong way, they insisted no later than Friday." I still had the slight hope it was going to arrive on Thursday if the driver somehow drove non stop but Bobby said "Let's revisit in the A.M." Long story short, on 2:30pm Friday (today) my car was delivered. However, I had called Bobby twice today asking where the driver was. Again, I was always the one calling first. For everyone who reached this bottom of the review, I was actually gonna give them 3 stars. But I figured, Bobby actually seems like a nice guy. He was always polite and after all my "spamming" asking where my car is, he didn't decide to block me. Besides, their business is fairly new and there's always rooms for improvement. My husband and I needed to ship our car from Nrw Hampshire to Honolulu Hawaii. We contacted Allied Auto Transport. I thought they had it together. My sales guy Tim called constantly to make the sale at the most inconvient times during the day after I said email was my preferred way of contact. We ended up saying yes to them on 4/27/21 for a pick-up date of 5/14/21. Day of pick-up no calls from the driver, hadn't heard anything from them once we signed and sent over the paperwork. I had to call them and ask about the pick-up. Well after calling 5 times I finally get ahold of Tim and he tells me that a driver hadn't been set up for the date and he wasn't sure when a driver would come out. So now we were scrambling to make other arrangements. We ended up cancelling with Allied and going with another company who guaranteed pick-up for the next day which was a Saturday. When shipping our car from Houston to New Jersey, AAT came several days late....with the WRONG car. Days later, they arrived with our correct vehicle, but the driver side rearview window was broken to the tune of $450. No problem, said AAT, get a quote and send us the bill. We did. Several months and dozens of emails later to Bobby, we are left to wonder if he is still among us. Does anyone know if he is still alive? We pray for his safety. I don't want to hold a grudge against AAT. Accidents happen. But will they make this right? That is what customer service is all about. I don't want to look back in anger, and in this case I can't. I recently had my car transported across the country, from California to Connecticut. Allied Auto Transport was highly affordable and delivered my car in the exact same condition as when they picked it up. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is due to a delay due to some logistical complications (understandable given the distance). They were very patient with me in explaining the circumstances of the delay and were responsive and professional in every interaction I have had with them. Terrible experience with this company. Used this company to ship a car cross county and they delayed on everything. Their contract states they will pick it up within a certain time that was delayed their contact says they will deliver within an estimated time that was even further delayed. When I called to speak to Dave he said it was out of his hands because they use an independent contractor and that it's up to us to find out what's causing the daly. Very VERY unprofessional and horrible customer service. Dave has a nonchalant attitude every time I pick up the phone to call him about compensating our interaction and again he passes me off to a different department that has yet to get back to me. Our car was delayed a total of 3 weeks which made us spend money out of pocket. I have another car that needs to be shipped but I refuse to give them my service after how unfairly I was treated. Upon reading the reviews I should have researched more they have cases against them in the Better Business Bureau and the reviews that are rated 5 star no way reflect what this company has done for me. I had booked with road runner auto transport and it was the most awful experience I've had to deal with. The day my car was supposed to be picked up I still had not been contacted by road runner, nobody would ever answer my calls and I even booked a month and a half in advance. I was so stressed because my flight to Florida from Seattle was the next morning, so I reached out to Allied auto transport in hopes that somebody could help me get out of this stressful predicament. The nicest young man, Tim Templeton, answered the phone and was so helpful, professional and thorough. He was able to dispatch a driver within almost a half hour. The same day they told me they would pick the car up between one and three and they did. They said they were going to deliver the car on the fifth in Florida and they did. Not only that, Tim knew how stressful my experience was with road runner so he kept in contact the entire process to make me feel rest a sure. They were a tiny bit more expensive than road runner but boy do I wish I would've called them in the first place. What an amazing experience and I highly recommend using this company. Moving can be very stressful but they certainly took all the stress out of it with accountability, professionalism, punctuality, and amazing customer service.
