As an adult dog, she pulled on the leash, barked at everyone, jumped on people and knocked everything out of my hands. Within a few weeks, Sadie is so well behaved. The top thing is to read Sadie's body language. I know what to look for when Sadie is getting anxious and Jean taught me how to deescalate the situation before bad behavior begins. Another thing I learned is how train Sadie while having fun. I enjoyed our lessons very much. The training program exceeded my expectations. Sadie is potty trained, respects other people and we can finally have an enjoyable walk together.

I do not have enough good things to say…read more I have now been here twice with very different outcomes, though both ended exactly as they "should." The first time was 6 years ago with my dog who was bitten by a venomous snake on a hike. By all accounts, he should have died. They absolutely saved his life and kept me updated every step of the way (it was covid, so I couldn't even go in with him). He had to stay overnight for 2 nights and the vet even called me at 10pm with progress reports. They gave me an estimate range, and while it's expensive to save your dog from a copperhead snake bite, the bill actually came in at the very lowest end of the range. They were phenomenal. My dog fully recovered and is happy and healthy. Today, I visited again with my 15 year old cat who needed to be put down suddenly and our local vet was closed. Once again, they could not have been more thoughtful in how they handled us and our beloved cat. The vet explained things clearly and sensitively. Immediately, they offered to sedate him in the exam room with us so that he wouldn't have to be scared and taken away. They brought in a bed for him and we were able to be with him and pet him until the end. It was the least stressful it could have been for our cat. Every staff member was sensitive, respectful, and accommodating. I'm incredibly grateful. Two of the worst days of our lives could have been much, much worse without the care we received.

I am deeply disturbed by the dishonest billing practices and dismissive customer service at VCA…read moreFlannery Animal Hospital. During our visit, the vet explicitly advised me that blood work was necessary to properly diagnose my pet. I was given a financial estimate that included this blood work, which I explicitly agreed to and authorized. At discharge, I was charged the full amount of that estimate. Because no one discussed the lab findings with me, I assumed the results were still pending and that I needed to call back. When I called for the results, I was shocked to be told that the blood work was never actually performed. To make matters worse, the staff insultingly claimed that I had "declined" the service--which makes absolutely no sense given that I paid for it based on the required care outlined by their own vet. When I tried to address this blatant error, the front desk staff was incredibly condescending and dismissive, giving off a "deal with it" attitude. Charging a pet owner for diagnostic procedures that were never performed--and then shifting the blame onto the client--is entirely unacceptable. Check your receipts carefully if you bring your animals here.

I could tell he was happy and free. Prior to your first visit, they will have you bring your baby to try out the spot. They will call you and give you and update about how they are adjusting. Mine were a bit anxious at first, simply because this was a new experience. They quickly warmed up and the staff was sure to let me know about their behavior. They also offer grooming, so I am able to get a bath before picking up the boys to return home after their little vacation.

Boy was I shocked at not only at the selection of quality dog foods they had and prices but the customer service that I received. I can count on my hand the number of times I have stepped into a pet shop and received the kind of customer service I received during my visit at this shop. Customer service is top notch!! An employee helped me select the right food for my dog, even providing me samples to try before I committed to a large bag of dog food that my dog might not otherwise like. They have a surprisingly large selection of foods, treats and other goodies in a very small store front. This small shop gives new meaning to, "good things come in small packages."
