She came, met with my wife and my 3 bully breed dogs. They are scary looking but are sweet hearts. Irene was comfortable with dogs and dogs were comfortable with Irene. She came by house 3 times a day to walk and feed them. She hung out with them so they wouldn't be alone all day long. She even FaceTime my wife while she was with them to give a check in. People who know me know that I love my dogs like my kids. Irene went above and beyond. Her prices are very reasonable and will use her services again. I highly recommend Irene. We had a lovely conversation, where we discussed the importance of rescuing animals, our particular new dog's difficult story prior to us rescuing him, etc. She said all the right things and we wanted to support her business, given that she seemed to care about supporting rescue animals. We made a purchase on some custom goods, and were promised a two week delivery. Like a fool, and because she seemed like a decent person, I paid up front. Big mistake. Items never arrived. All messages on social media have been ignored and disregarded, even when I attempted to handle it reasonably. Dropped off the face the earth, took our money, and ran. I find it deplorable to play to the heartstrings of people who want to purchase items for their animals, then to literally steal from them. Avoid this business at all costs.

She asked a few initial questions during the initial phone consultation and agreed to come over and meet him and see what could be done to calm him down and deal with the specific behaviors we were concerned about (jumping up on strangers, growling at other male dogs, pulling on the leash.) She came over and immediately connected with Titus. She seems to have an intuitive understanding of what's going on in a dog's mind just by watching how they move and where they're placing their attention, and it's incredible to watch her connect with the animal. (I'll even admit to feeling a little jealous of watching them play together, tbh.) We learned some basic exercises to modify his behavior and were told, a little sternly, that he needed at least twice as much exercise as we were giving him to keep him physically and mentally calm. Fortunately, she also showed us some "brain toys" we could use to keep him moving and thinking to make up some of the gap. Titus is showing improvement already, and I'm confident that when Beth comes over for her follow-up visit she'll be pleased with how we've used what she showed us. Thank you so much for your help.

The other day I…read moresent my younger brother there because it is much closer to us, and since he is new to the area, I didn't want him driving the longer distance to our regular vet. My mistake... After seeing the bill for services, which I felt was excessive in price and scope, I drove to the office where, as I was explaining my dissatisfaction to the receptionist/assistant, another customer began to chime in with, at first just her disagreement with what I was presenting, then later a verbal assault on me. I asked the lady to please refrain, I asked the receptionist/assistant to please have the other customer sit down since this wasn't her animal, but those requests were to no avail. It was obvious that the other customer likes BAH and that's all fine and dandy, but I prefer to discuss my issues with the staff, not the customers. The receptionist/assistant did nothing to stop this woman from using profanity and other derogatory language towards me. I would have liked nothing more than to give it back, but when you are the man in a situation like that, you will always be the bad guy. So I waited as the receptionist finally went and got the office manager, who I believe as another reviewer mentioned, is the doctor's wife. When she arrived she escorted me and my brother to another room where we discussed the billing questions and the front desk issue. In the end, the bill was credited for medications, etc. that I believe I can find elsewhere much less expensive. As I have two other dogs, I know that I have bought similar medications for less. Maybe not the exact brand so I cannot say that any particular brand they may not be cheaper and I will leave it at that. As for the front office issue I was given their apologies but to me the damage is done. I will never again set foot in that office and I would recommend to anyone who is considering using this facility to make sure you have looked at all others in the area before making your decision. Save yourself some grief. I wish I had stuck with my initial assessment and saved some grief for both myself and my brother. Edit 7/26/2013: Got contacted tonight by a new Yelp member who took an unusual amount of concern with my review. I can only guess, but that guess is that she is somehow associated with the animal hospital. Maybe, maybe not. I have heard from owners and managers in response to my review before but this was a bit over the top. Anyway, I stand by my review and if anyone wants to discuss it further, feel free to drop me a line. PS: I wonder if the other folks who wrote less than glowing reviews got the third degree from this person. For someone who only joined this July and with zero reviews of her own she sure had no problem writing several messages of several paragraphs each. Not really typical of the average Yelp review feedback I have seen. Edit 9/22/2013 I received yet another comment from someone who took exception to my review. They accused me on not being able to afford the care at BAH. Well, that's certainly not the case, and anyone who knows me can vouch for the fact that money isn't an object when it comes to the care of my animals.

They did a wonderful job with socializing her and starting her off on training. The facility itself is beautiful. It's very clean and well staffed. We were able to spend time with different puppies out in the main area, which gave us the chance to see how they did with other dogs, people, etc. We probably spent two hours there and never felt rushed into making a decision. I could tell he was happy and free. Prior to your first visit, they will have you bring your baby to try out the spot. They will call you and give you and update about how they are adjusting. Mine were a bit anxious at first, simply because this was a new experience. They quickly warmed up and the staff was sure to let me know about their behavior. They also offer grooming, so I am able to get a bath before picking up the boys to return home after their little vacation.

We really like the pictures that we get of our dogs while they are there. You get a report card daily and we have been enjoying that. The outdoor play area seems to be enough space for the dogs whether you are with a group or if your dog is out there by themselves. I even got chance to see how that works when I was dropping off my dog I saw one of the handlers had a dog out in the play area and was working really hard to get good pictures of the dog for that family.
