The farm stand is in a pair of buildings at this time and they have enough room to expand when more vegetables are harvested. We were not here earlier in the year when the greenhouse does business. There is also a U-Pick section, but we did not try that. We thought it funny when we came to the unshucked corn that there were a few signs warning us to not peel back the husk to look at the corn. We followed the rules and trusted in the product, and we were pleasantly surprised. When we cooked it up later, the corn was perfect and tasty. So even though we did not have the fun of peeling the husks, the corn was VG. We will be back.

Not cheap, but nice quality. We got a huge planter full of annual flowers for $80. This year they didn't have a large selection of herbs. No basil at all. Lines moved quickly to checkout. Friendly service too.

Leaf after leaf, buds falling off....NO! I have been raising these guys for nearly 50 years and know exactly how to care for them. Were they on sale because they knew they were inferior quality? Either way, of the 4 that I bought, none look any good and will most likely die. I am very disappointed in Alsip nursery...believe me, I will continue to buy my plants from HOME DEPOT....I've NEVER lost one from there.

Whens some the of the plants didn't grow the way Roger thought that they should, he took it upon himself to replace them quickly, which we appreciated. Roger and RAL also maintain, check, shut off, and turn on our sprinkler system, and they are right on top of things with our system, repairs, adjustments, etc., they do it all. Their prices are fair, their work is done right the first time, and Roger is an honorable businessman. We would highly recommend them without reservation.

One of the things that I like is that the staff is professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. It is relaxing just to walk around, and to plan your next project. Kathy took great care of me, and she went beyond the call of duty to make sure she found me a particular color that I was looking for. I love the pride that she takes and the love and attention that she gives to the plants there. I went on a hot day and I really appreciated that I was able to purchase a nice cold bottle of water. The Nienmeyer driver pulled out in front of my wife in front of there buisness on summit st. We weren't even behind the flatbed driver he decided to pull out in front of my wife and when he did a rock came off his truck bed and landed directly on my windshield.
