She attempted to publicly shame me at the Fayetteville Visionworks and then attempted to extort me "pay $195 now or walk out of this store" were her exact words. And she has the support of her Manager, Matt. On the COMPLETE OPPOSITE side of things, when I called Oneida Visionworks and spoke with Olivia, easily the Best Manager of the 3 area Locations I dealt with, she treated me like a customer, and a human being - something Fayetteville Visionworks will never learn unless the current Manager and sales gal get fired. Olivia treated me with respect and understanding. She welcomed me into her store to resolve my issue with my frames, and the result was wonderful. When I came to pick up my completed glasses, the sales associate was excellent, I don't recall her name, but whoever the reviewer Kim A. is, maybe she'd be happier at the Fayetteville Visionworks. Different strokes, you know. I highly recommend the Oneida Visionworks with their excellent Manager, Olivia and great sales staff. Olivia was able to take a situation that almost resulted in me starting over with another Optometry Company altogether, and repaired the damage done by the previous Fayetteville Vision works and kept me as a customer. That is above and beyond service. Rare. Thank you Oneida Visionworks, you are the best of them all. **UPDATE: Note to Customer Care's response below- this has nothing to do with my "loyalty". I have no loyalty to Visionworks, a company who's response to their employees' public shaming and attempted price bullying (your sales associate said, "pay $195 now, or leave the store" and your manager, Matt, backed her up) is to write a nauseatingly self congratulatory review... of my review? Basically trying to perform damage control steering away from the fact that your Fayetteville store is an embarrassing mess and mismanaged. You're an abhorrent company and my review in no way reflects that "Visionworks" is worth half a piss. Oliva and her team are the ones I'm giving my review to. They excel despite your self-deluded head-in-the-sand business sense. I wouldn't be surprised when she finds a better job because frankly, Oliva is too good for you. Seriously, you gave yourselves such a big PAT ON THE BACK just now but in actuality, you should be deeply ashamed.

We had been a customer of the Oneida Visionworks for close to 20 years. It seems that every couple…read moreof years there is a new manager. We really liked the technician, who has been there for years. He consistently provided good service and is very personable. Our experience with the rest of the staff has been inconsistent over the years. This year, our experience was horrible. Our prescriptions did not change from last year, so we called Visionworks on a Friday to see if we would need to have our ophthalmologist send a new prescription before getting glasses. We were told that our prescriptions were good for 2 years, were in their system, and that the store would be open until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, so we would have no problem walking in to get glasses. When we walked through the door at 6:40 p.m., the optician didn't greet us but immediately said, "I'm the Optician and I'm leaving at 7:00." We were told that we would need to come back. When we told them that we had been told that the store would be open until 8:00, and had driven about an hour based on this info, the receptionist told us that the people who answer the phones "don't know what they're talking about" and that she couldn't help us. Neither the receptionist or optician apologized. If you can't get glasses after 7:00 p.m., how is the store "open" until 8:00? We left and drove to another Visionworks store. The person working there had been there since 8:00 a.m. but was friendly and helpful. He told us that we didn't need to see an optician to get glasses because our measurements were in the system and they don't change (at our ages). We will NEVER go back to Oneida again.

When they…read morearrived...the prescription was SO weak it made no difference, so they retested my eyes and got it right, but now they want me to pay for the correct lenses for another $65. If they mess up...you pay the difference. Avoid, you'd do better getting your glasses at the mall.

I've been coming to New Hartford Eye Associates since 2016ish. I've seen several optometrists, a…read moreplethora of glasses consultants, and been helped by numerous front desk personnel. Good: Everyone is nice, and everyone is good at their jobs. They have the best selection of high end frames in the area (which means they do NOT have the best selection to affordable anything). The lenses are soooo much more durable and higher quality in general. Do NOT think that buying glasses off Warby Parker is going to give you the same experience. It won't. Bad: they don't make the glasses in-house, so sometimes they can take a while to receive. 2020-2022 were particularly bad for supply chain issues, so reviews you read during this time period are reflective of that delay. It also took longer to get an appointment during this time. They cater to luxury over affordability, which is great for me, but means that sometimes I get my prescription from them and order glasses and lenses online (although I inevitably regret this choice every time because the quality is so much worse). This place is the epitome of you get what you pay for.

After having a negative experience with an eye doctor at one of the large chains, I asked my…read morefriends which optomitrist they would recommend in the Syracuse area. Krzyzak Eyecare was recommended more than anyone else, so I decided to give them a try, and I'm very happy that I did. It did take a few months to get in there initially, so if you are reading this and thinking about schedueling an appointment, plan accordingly. While I usually hate waiting, I considered this to be a good sign that people are happy here and that I was making a good choice. For my exam, I met with Dr. Michael Krzyzak, who I felt was very personable and did an excellent job explaining what he was doing and what the best options were for my situation. After the exam I met with the absolutely wonderful Alicia, who helped me pick out my new frames and was very thorough in making sure that she had the perfect measurements for my new progressive lenses. When someone knows what they are doing like she did, it adds a whole new level of value to buying your glasses in house, rather than online. And when I came back to pick up my new glasses, she made me feel like a VIP even though I am new to the practice. The whole experience was everything that I could have asked for and I'm so grateful to have found an eyecare team that I have complete confidence in and will now stick with.

Both doctors took the time to explain things so that I understood my eyes, issues, etc... versus my prior eye doctor who would say, "you have astigmatism". With no further explanation. I appreciated the time spent with me and taken to confirm that I had no further questions. I did not feel rushed at any time. The optician who assisted with my contacts was also very nice and patient - if you haven't worn contacts, what a task learning to put them in and out! You've been warned! She was encouraging and never made me feel rushed. They've got a new patient to add to their roster and I would encourage anyone I know to go there too.
