I recently had cataract surgery in Rome, N.Y. Dr. Patrick Costello is my surgeon. The experience was very easy. I had to be at the surgery center by 6 AM, and I was home by 9:30 AM. Dr. Costello made me feel as comfortable as possible. The staff at both the Rome and New Hartford offices was professional and friendly. All procedures were well-explained in advance. I had cataract surgery with Dr. John Costello in February and April. He and his staff were thorough and careful in preparation for the surgery, which I was very anxious about due to highly myopic eyes and prior history of retinal problems. The surgery center where I went was great, Dr. Costello was efficient but reassuring throughout, and the post-operative care was fantastic. Dr. Costello and all of his staff are extremely professional, and clearly up on all of the latest science and technology related to eye care. April 2022. My eyes have bothered me for years now, my top lids droop far enough to touch my lashes now. Go to eye doc in Syracuse, recommends me to Bersani eye surgeons in Syr. They won't take my medicaid ins. Costellos eye surgeons 45 mins. away accepts me. Takes 3 re-scheduled apps. on their part to get me in in Dec. Get approved by medicaid in Jan.2023. Surgery gets scheduled for April 7th. I'm actually excited to finally get this done, just got a new job, they actually gave me the week off i need for the surgery. So..I get a phone call the week before to re-schedule, WHAT? I cant! come to find out they did some surgeries that day, just not mine! I lost a weeks pay from a new job, got charged money out of pocket, my driver lost 2 days pay AND I didn't get surgery! I'm sooooo disappointed that my friend can go in and get cosmetic surgery and somebody that needs it can't. Who picks and chooses? read more
