When it came time for my mom to move to an independent living community, Atria Senior Living was the only community that I toured for her. From the moment I walked through the door for my tour, it was clear that Atria was where she needed to be. I looked at other places online but none of them offered everything that Atria offered. I no longer worry about my mom's safety or well-being. From the time she gets up in the morning, the Atria staff is making sure that she is up and moving. She has three delicious meals every day. She goes to group exercise several times a week. There is music, movies, and many social events that she attends. And she has maid service once a week so she doesn't have to worry about her apartment upkeep. She is free to enjoy the fun stuff that is provided by Atria. The biggest change though in her life is that she has so many new friends. Moving to Atria is one of the best decisions we made as a family. No regrets.

No one answered the buzzer when we (me and the ambulance drivers) rang. Finally one of the ambulance drivers forced the sliding doors open and we came in. No alarms rang, no one came to check and no one wondered how we got in with two ambulance EMTs, myself and my dad on a stretcher. I have called for three days and left messages for a return call and no one has responded. Finally today, after no response, I started going down the list of extensions until I got someone who answered. Ms JT at extension 1018 was no help and very rude. When I asked for her supervisor she said he was unavailable and when I asked for the nursing director, she said she was unable to give out that information. I think there are better facilities available elsewhere.

I bet is better than most with the exception of its nursing staff. I was comfortable. I can say with certainty there was a longer discussion on what you can and cannot flush down the toilet and what appropriate swimwear is than there was thought in the nursing staff getting my medicine right... every time. do your due diligence

These places are expensive. But they are providing 24 hour care to your loved one. This is second place we have had our loved one in. The first one was not good but Avanti is 100% different. The staff are so friendly and caring to us and to their residents. They treat them just like they are their own loved one. They do actives with them to help keep their brain functioning sharp. The nurse practitioners over medicated my mom and when I told them to…read morestop - because I held medical power of attorney I was literally told " it's not that simple" I had to inquire if I needed an attorney to get the overdosing stopped. The medical "professional" prescribing the over medication was not following the oncologist's medication and she told me 5 times the wrong chemotherapy drug my mother was on. Since my moms passing they owe my mothers estate in excess of $3000. They acknowledge it but have been claiming the Che k would be mailed for the last 90 days while refusing to provide any information for follow up. It's clearly " the checks in the mail" nonsense to keep an elderly person money. I can only imagine how many elderly residence have been over medicated and fleeced by this company. It looks like I'm going to contact our family attorney.
