Like many others, you CANNOT say anything at your child's wellness exam and have to teach your kids not to say anything as well or else Alina from billing will charge you an "office visit" fee. My friend got a charge for the provider writing for a referral that they didn't even want. Another friend got charged when their child answered how school was going for them. Anything and everything will be used against you unfortunately. Even a medical form for school requires an extra surcharge. These are our kids and the allegro practice is to have you be silent about any and all concerns you or your child may have. read more

We had a great doctor eight years ago, but he has since retired. I switched to a new doctor, and although there are some questionable practices, overall, I think she is good. Recently, I brought my two kids for their annual health check together, which should have been fully covered by insurance. However, the one-hour visit was billed as four separate visits, including two "professional visits," because some topics discussed during the check-up were deemed "out of scope." This happened despite my explicitly stating that I only wanted an annual health check. And the outcome of these so-called "professional visits" was that the supposed "their concerns" turned out to be false alarms. To make matters worse, they urgently warned us two days later not to take the medication they had just prescribed during the visit. Like many others have noted, their billing department is terrible. The representative I dealt with was arrogant and rude. I escalated the issue to their manager, but no one responded until a week later. Their billing department even "taught" me that I need to ask whether a topic falls within the scope of an annual health visit before answering any questions from the doctor. For example, if the doctor says something like, "I feel your child might be at risk for cancer in the future," or "You kid could have a life-threatening condition in the future," you shouldn't respond--otherwise, you'll be charged for a professional visit. You might as well bring a lawyer with you to your appointment! I would genuinely appreciate it if Allegro could create something similar to a Miranda rights warning for their customers: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used as a basis to charge you extra. read more

We followed our pediatrician to Allegro a few years ago. That doctor is now on leave, and we continued to see a different doctor at Allegro. The doctors are great, no doubt. We love our original doctor whom we followed and our current doctor. Both are wonderful, but the admin part of has been awful. When we were new patients without access to the online portal system, it took me forever to call to wait for a human to talk to me. When we were in the clinic, the care team (doctors and nurses) are great, but the receptionist was like non-existing. We just walked into the designated room per text, which was fine. The worst part of Allegro is their billing department. They once billed under the wrong codes for vaccines, which was supposed to be completely covered if billing correctly, and sent us an invoice. I called the insurance company and realized the mistake, so I called them to correct the error. I understand that people make mistakes, so as long as they correct the error I would be okay. They agreed to make corrections, but they kept complaining how bad my insurance company was... Then again, this happened to a recent visit where I took my son for a wellness check up and had a brief conversation about growth. When you go to a check up and get measured, it's natural to have some conversation about it. The billing department insisted that it was a medical concern and billed me for it on top of already billing me for the comprehensive check up. According to the guy at the billing department, the wellness check up only included growth recording, so when we have any conversation about it would be categorized as a medical issue and would be billed as a regular office visit. I guess we just shouldn't even talk during the check up. So ridiculous! When I emailed them over the patient portal, they actually responded me with a response for someone else. How unprofessional! Since both doctors we love are no longer practicing here next year, we won't come back as we don't want to deal with their horrible admin team. read more

The doctor and staff are kind, it's a nice office. But we are having a newborn in October, and they are telling us to take our 2 year old to a drive in vaccine 20 minutes farther away because they are too lazy to do it individually, and they are offering it only on the 15th of October (with a newborn you have to have it 2 weeks prior). The whole point of a pediatrician is because a doctor visit/ injection is a scary process, especially for a 2 year old. They are not concerned with your child's well being, they just care that their job is easy and they make their money. Now I get to take my 2 year old daughter to a CVS for her vaccine because her doctors office is too lazy to give it to her. LOL UPDATE!!: So just called CVS and Costco, almost all, if not all, won't give children under 3 a vaccine. They all say you have to go to your doctor LMAO. So they won't give my daughter a vaccine before our newborn is delivered on the 17th of October, and they are telling us we can only get it at their drive-in the 15 of October, and the standard is that they require the vaccine 2 weeks prior to the newborn. Allegro just continues to get worse. We've watched it decline over the past 6 years, across multiple locations. We started in Sammamish. Don't get me wrong - the doctors are great (well, most of them - we did have a weird guy once). We've received some great care here. Some awesome nurses work here too. It's getting to the care that is the dystopian hell. My gripe is with the business owners and administrators. I echo the sentiments of every other negative review. Good luck having a primary doctor here for your kids or making an annual checkup appointment with anyone specific, it literally isn't possible. But we've tried to put up with it, because that's just the modern world, right? Today the receptionist at the Factoria location spoke to me like I was an absolute idiot because I had the audacity to come inside to the front desk to check in. In my life nobody has ever spoken to me with such a disrespectful tone in a business, let alone in front on my kids. I was flabbergasted. Apparently I missed a text they sent less than 1 hour before my appointment which explained the protocol which is: you're meant to text when you arrive, wait in your car, then they text you when a room is ready and you show yourself to the exam room without any human interaction of any kind. It's a mystery to me why they employ a front desk person at all this point. Anyhow, I've been mildly frustrated with how hard Allegro makes things for years but today was really something else for me. It's a sad thing to watch awesome local practices get bought up and absorbed by these conglomerates. I wish we had more options. read more

In February I took my son here to look for a new provider for him. We were on a marketplace plan and coming off of it I thought we could get maybe a better provider. I was VERY WRONG. The provider we saw was never really focused on my son or his care, she was critiquing her own staff on clerical errors and others with our paperwork. We never really received any solid answers about his care. We were told she would follow up after a week and she never did. We received the bill and it was high. Do you yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you are definitely better off. read more

I was really disappointed of the service we received at this clinic. They assigned us a different doctor for every appointment and it was really hit or miss on the doctors. The last two times the doctor we saw did not make us feel confident that we were receiving the best care for our little one. On top of the bad service, we called last week to inquire about our upcoming appointment. They informed us that they had canceled our 6 month appointment since they no longer accepted our health insurance. Ummmmm excuse me? This has left us scrambling to find another provider. I'm surprised Allegro has any patients at all, because it is a full time commitment to get an appointment scheduled. They have an online scheduler that has never worked (and even has a note a top saying "some people have trouble with this, so try multiple times then call us). And if you call for an appointment be prepared to stay on the line for a very long time, also with a disclaimer that they "are experiencing high call volume". This has been happening for years before the pandemic, so it's not just the shortage of staff that so many places are currently suffering from. Everyone at this practice was extremely helpful. My son was sick, and we needed several consults and visits to get him back on track. The nurses were easy to reach and handled my teenage son very well. Everyone I dealt with was super patient, supportive and knowledgeable. Huge shout out to Dr. Benda. She's outstanding! read more

We have been patients at Allegro (formerly Pediatric Associates) for about 15 years. The doctors, nurses, and ARNPs have usually been kind, attentive, and thorough, and really seem to care - even doing additional research outside of office hours (thanks, Dr. Uyeno!). The office, however, has become very poorly run in the last couple of years. Just a few examples: 1. My daughter has had several stool samples over the last few months which were supposed to go to Seattle Childrens but they lost them - twice - so we had to take the stool sample three times. Two months later the results had still not gotten to Seattle Childrens, even with over an hour on the phone with Seattle Childrens and Allegro trying to get the records sent. The response from Allegro was that they actually couldn't figure out how to get the results from their computer system over to Seattle Childrens. Seattle Childrens suggested to just take a screenshot and send it (they still couldn't do it)! It was unbelievable that Allegro couldn't figure out how to get the results sent. Don't they send records to specialists all the time? I took my daughter to see another doctor and had her records transferred from Allegro, and the new doctor asked why Allegro tested for the same thing in her stool three times in as many months? I still don't know what's going on. 2. I cannot seem to reach anyone when I call. I had a question about a telemedicine appointment and was on hold for an hour and 10 minutes before I had to hang up. Another time I left a call back number but wasn't called back until the next day (I left a call back number in the early afternoon - not close to closing). I was on hold today for 29 minutes before someone answered. If you read other reviews, this has been a problem for over a year. 3. We had a telemedicine appointment today and in past I was sent a link for virtual appointments. Nothing was sent via text or email, so I called the office but they could not help me (after 29 minutes on hold). Thankfully, the doctor himself called me and got me set up. 4. A few weeks ago on a Saturday we went to a vaccine clinic in Redmond WITH AN APPOINTMENT and waited 1.5 HOURS for our vaccines. My understanding was that every patient there had an appointment, so I simply cannot understand why we and everyone else there had to wait so long. The lobby and hallways were PACKED with waiting patients. We sat on the floor. This mismanagement was completely ridiculous and infuriating. Our family plans that day were entirely messed up. I want to stay with our doctor but I just don't have enough hours to deal with this practice. We are looking for a new practice. read more

Saw Dr. Benda in Issaquah Highlands with our 1 year old, and we know she is based out of Factoria. Dr. Benda is very kind and patient with our child. She can sense her apprehension over the exam and turned it into a game to make her feel comfortable. This empathy is so important in a pediatrician and especially helpful for new parents. I highly recommend seeking her out. She also took her time explaining to us what is going on, what to watch for, and how to self treat our child during the cold season. My son is 18 months today and we've been going to Dr. Sjoberg and her team ever since he was a newborn. They are always amazingly friendly. They never made you feel rush at all and the nurses were very nice giving him the shots. The doctor always make you feel like none of your questions are stupid being first time parents. Over the last year or so something happened where when you call to make an appointment it goes to a general office, it use to go to the specific city/location. Since the've done this the hold time is I-N-S-A-N-E, I'm often on hold for 45+ mins. I know you can leave a callback request but this also takes hours. The other big push they are making is trying to get parents to make an online appointment, I've tried this option but have had no luck with any appointments available (It only showed a week that I could schedule and I chose all locations, and all doctors, and Acute Care). It's really hard for me to imagine there isn't one single appointment available all week (they have 6 locations and their website shows they have approx. 75 doctors) And some how they don't have a single appointment available? I've had many times my child is in pain and I'd at least like to know if there is a doctor they could see. Take a few minutes and read the other reviews, look at how many of them are on hold for an hour just to make an appointment. Their Yelp response's say they are fixing the problem, ummm that was back in Jan. 2021 they are writing this and here I am writing this review in July 2021. It doesn't take 7 month to hire someone and train them to answer the phone. It is plain and simple, they don't care about your child only profits since they are too cheap to hire more people to answer the phone. I don't recommend Allegro, unless you don't care about your child's health, then by all means choose them. By the way if Allegro responds to this review I guarantee you they will blame COVID as the issue, as if all their doctors have COVID and can't work or thousands of parents are bringing in their kids to get tested for COVID (which by the way they only do in Bellevue). read more

All the doctors all excellent and know what they do. So you can choose any Doctor, but the nurse that comes along with the Doctor is different and keypoint to make your baby life a nightmare. I have 2 kids coming here and after juggling between doctors and nurses, we finally found the nurse that awesome and great with babies. Nurse Maria has been the best for us but we can't choose the nurse like choosing doctor. When Dr Benda on leave, we couldn't make appointment with Nurse Maria. We had to go with Dr Sjoberg, and whiher nurse was horrible!! I couldn't catch the name but she forcefully squeezed the whole oral vaccine straight to my son's thorat. He vomited all out and then she blamed us that we fed him beforehand (he only tool 1oz). We loce it here at Awfro but if we keep landing the terrible nurse like this, we might have to switch to different clinic. And it probably not a matter to them if we stay or leave. Update 7/9/21: I called the medical department again today and left message. They returned my call same day and instructed me to resubmitted the records release form online correctly. Hopefully this issue can be fixed soon. Additionally, doctor Julie Wen I met yesterday is nice and professional but the nurse is not very patient. The nurse gave two vaccine shots to my baby and then left immediately. She didn't ask us to wait for a while to see the baby's reaction or tell us anything to pay attention to, something like what to do if the baby gets fever or any other symptoms. ---------- 7/8/21 I'm super disappointed of their scheduling system and medical records department. I submitted the record release form online with the full contact info of my previous pediatric and I called the medical records dept twice to confirm. The person who answered my phone was not very patient and told me they had the contact info they need and would contact the previous pediatric for the records and I don't need to do anything. Now after a month I'm having an upcoming appointment this afternoon. I called them again to make sure the recordes have been transferred but was told they have nothing yet. They couldn't even confirm if they ever contacted the previous pediatric since they couldn't see any contact info in their system. Now they asked me to contact the previous pediatric by myself. Pediatric Associates is the McDonalds of pediatricians...lots of Drs, lots of hours, lots of locations...but the staff is very rude, especially the front desk. I have been to many of the Drs in Bellevue and Factoria, and honestly after being with them with my 7 yr old and 4 yr old..I am simply sick of them!! They do not care about your kids - its a big churn of sick kids all nameless to them. I need to find a good, kind, pediatrician that listens. update for my review yesterday: Apparently the IT department found my negative review Here and the Director of this operation called me today to apologize and told me the action taken for yesterday's incident. The director went to the office and investigate what was happening yesterday . They have already pull off the Medical Assistant from the operation and send her to training( it turn out she is not a nurse, instead a Medical Assistant). The medical assistant is still lying today and told the director my baby was moving at that time and the reason there were two holes on my baby's thigh is because she gave another shot to my son right after, which is totally not true! I told the director what was happening yesterday again and thank her for taking the time to investigate and tell me how they handled this. I upgrade to three star for her effort. But I would want them to be more careful when making a hiring decision. People makes mistakes and I totally understand that but she shouldn't be lying and keep blaming others for her own mistake. Also the training may need to be longer and better, especially for those working with Young kid. I decided to give this office another shot because of the call I got today. She also gave me her number so I know who to contact if I am not satisfied with their service. So after Dr Uyeno finishes his check up, his nurse come in to give the shot. The nurse did the shot so recklessly that her needle went through my boy's thigh ! Instead of giving the vaccine to the baby,All the vaccine liquid were dropped on the bench and there were two holes on my baby's thigh! The nurse felt no guilty and she is blaming my boy for her not doing it right. She said this is normal because it could happen when baby were moving while she is giving shots! I was there holding my boy and I know he was not moving! Also how can it is normal for the needle to go through the thigh and drop all vaccine on the bench? Later she told me it's ok since the baby will get third shot in 6 month. If two shots can do its job, why people get three shot then? Horrible experience! I talked with the dr later, Dr doesn't felt it's a mistake as well and told me they can give an additional shot for my baby at 9 month... For this service and the way they are treating patient, I am definitely changing doc and nurse. We've seen Dr Robertson for a few years out of pure laziness on my part. My kid hardly ever gets sick and we are up to date on vaccinations for another 3 yrs. When she is ill, it's easy to get a same day appt. It is professional, impersonal care. I never feel any warmth or actual caring from the Dr or staff. We are looking for someone new. Call in care, and flu shot questions are treated with snottiness. During the swine flu scare of 2010-11, they were useless. For an older kid that just needs occasional care, this might be ok. It's a small step up from urgent care. But if you have a new baby, keep looking. read more

We recently moved to Seattle and asked around for pediatricians, most directed us to Pediatric Associates. We have been to both the Bellevue and Factoria locations. However, the only plus to this place is that you can pretty much get an appointment anytime. So, if you are desperate, this is your place. Well actually, you might be better going to a walk-in clinic, I have had better experiences. My recommendation is stay away! You never get the same doctor twice, you have to wait forever, even if you are early to your appointment, and its very impersonal. Like other reviewers, it is the McDonald's of health care. The icing on the cake, which brought me to write this review, is that we recently became uninsured, so we are now cash pay. When I made the appointment and when I showed up at the appointment, I made this very clear. They assured me there were discounts for cash pay, but didn't specify an amount. Shortly after the appointment, where the NP (not ever a DR) spent 10 minutes with my daughter, I received a bill in the mail for $238.66. I called into the billing department and they told me that they have agreements with the insurance companies that they will not offer any kind of discounts or sliding fees for people that don't have insurance! Nice, so they are putting insurance companies above their patients needs. They are no better than the Enron's of the world. We need to put people before profits! I would give the assistant, Hong, zero star. She was very rude to my 12-month-old. My daughter was scared of her, and she blamed all on my daughter. She knocked on the wall and asked my daughter to stop crying. She demonstrated a very inpatient manner. When she attempted to give a vaccine shot, she was again very rude and violent in her manner. I had to change a nurse to get the rest of the vaccine finished. After I complained to the manager here, the manager said Hong is a very sweet person she didn't expect that would happen. What made the whole experience worse, was that the next appointment when I arrived, I found out Hong was again scheduled to see my daughter even after the complaint. read more

Dr. Randall Uyeno has been a wonderful pediatrician to my daughter. He is punctual and listens and answers my questions. He is unfiltered and does not shy away from the truth. He isn't afraid to point out a problem if he sees one but he does so in a matter-of-fact and dry way. I would highly recommend Dr. Uyeno, he has two kids of his own and was Chief of Pediatrics Overlake Hospital 2001-2007. read more

Both of my daughters (born 2010 and 2012) see Gwen Keiser (ARNP) at this Pediatric Associates location. She makes checkups fun, fast, and easy and takes any other concerns seriously. Gwen remembers us, treats us as individuals, and takes her time with our appointments. We've seen a couple of other practitioners as needed, and everyone has been wonderful. I've been making appointments and checking in with the same front desk staff since 2010, and it's awesome to see the same faces every time we visit. I've never had any billing or insurance issues, either. I was a Pediatric Associates patient from birth til age 16 (Dr. Joslin at the Bellevue office) and I'm happy that my girls are getting the same family oriented care that I received. I'm very surprised to see that there are such low ratings for this office, but I think that some people might just have different expectations that may or may not be realistic based on their understanding of healthcare practices. read more

I have been taking my kids (2yo boy, 7mo girl) to this office since my son was born and I absolutely love it here! We specifically see Dr. Williams and she is great! She has two young kids, so she can give her professional opinion as well as personal opinion if I'm having a hard time with a specific issue. (Which I had about every visit when I was a new mom!) Her nurse, Erin, is AWESOME! She is so great, very quick with the vaccines!!! I have seen quite a few of the doctors at this location for various reasons (I have a very active boy and a very over-protective husband!) and they are all wonderful, but I do really like Dr. Williams and Nurse Erin in particular. Also, Chelsea at the front desk is the best! She is so on top of things when it comes to scheduling and insurance or address changes, everything! She's also very friendly and kind, and my daughter just LOVES her! :) read more

I have been taking both of my kids here since birth. The appointments are always very rushed. The doctor will ask me questions, and while I'm answering they're typing away without pausing to give me eye contact. I can't tell if the doctor is even really listening to me, rather than just recording what I'm saying. They are very impersonal. When I'm done talking, the doctor will give me their opinion for a full 2 minutes, grab their laptop and will be half way out the door before asking if I had any other questions. read more

Pediatric Associates in Factoria has been wonderful and we love every doctor there we have met. Dr. Benda is our main doctor and she does all of our baby's well-child check-ups. She is very comforting and so good with our son. There is always a same-day appointment availability which has been so important with a new baby. When I took my child here lots of unnecessary and expensive testing was ordered.. 4 visits, lots of unnecessary testing and 6 weeks of misery. No answers! I got a second opinion from a qualified experienced pediatrician. With the correct diagnoses and treatment my child was better in 2 days. YOU NEED TO GET RID OF ALLEGRO CALL CENTER! I want to be able to f* call the actual Dr. office and talk to the receptionist! I don't want to wait 20 f* minutes for a receptionist to route my F* call! Good luck transferring records. Takes like 2 weeks to fax in a form cause first the fax never got received after faxing it twice and waiting like 15min each time to get a f* receptionist. Then you have to fax to the office you go to cause they aren't getting the faxes... Tthen u call and wait and wait and wait just to see if they received the fax. BUT u have to call the center you can't call the office directly! What happened to personal attention and customer service with Dr's? A different Dr. office i requested records to be transferred took 5 min to get receptionist then no faxing a f* form to request a transfer was required.. I took my asthmatic son for a checkup today. I felt unwelcome with Dr. Robertson. There was zero eye contact while the doctor gave away instructions. She did not like questions. My son and I had had a sleepless night because of his constant cough that wouldn't go away. We visited the doctor to ask for help with his cough, he is already on the flu medication. This is what she had to say, don't sleep next to your boy, sleep in the other corner of the house so you wont hear him cough. I feel like never going to this doctor again. We are a regular at Allegro Pediatrics and have always felt welcome with the nurses and pediatricians. This is my first odd experience. read more

If I didn't have to give this place a star I wouldn't! We moved here from Texas a few months ago. Well with moving you must get new doctors. I found great reviews about this place online (obviously not yelp, lol) and so far I am NOT impressed. They saw my son on the same day I called which was great but when a referral is needed you might as well go somewhere else. My son went in for an ear infection and needed a referral to an ENT due to ongoing issues with his ears. I was told to make the appt for 2 weeks from that day (meds needed to reduce swelling in his ear). I asked if I needed to take the referral and was told no we've already sent it over. Sounded great so far. Fast forward a month and my insurance denies the claim to the ENT because they didn't receive the referral until 22 days after the appt....so the dates do not line up. I was told in the office that it was already sent. To me that sounds like it's a done deal. Wrong! This was a $200 mistake that I'm now responsible for in full!! This lady Barb in referrals at the pediatric office continued to not do her job today. I spent 3 hours getting this taken care of today. Luckily my background is health insurance (specifically claims and medical records) and I knew what all needed to be done. After the insurance company approved getting a corrected referral this Barb lady didn't believe me and told me that I had to have the insurance company call her. Ummmm, no that's her job! So after some very not so nice words out of my mouth I figured she'd drop the ball again and I called the insurance company. At that time it was too late and Barb left the office so I'll have to finish this ridiculousness tomorrow. Luckily the insurance lady left a message for her...I hope she gets it straight this time. I'm sure it's an ok office to go to if your child is sick but if you need further care they don't want to do their job. One of the receptionists told me today that the office manager is on maternity leave and that she went on leave a few weeks before my appt. So I have a feeling this is a result of that. I for one will be changing my kids doctors as soon as this is resolved. read more

I have had nothing but great visits with the doctors at Pediatric Associates. My Daughter is 7 months old and I have been seeing Dr. Showman and Gwen Keiser since she was born . I have used the nurse line to ask questions (being a new mom its pretty normal to have a few questions), they have always been responsive and caring. I was referred here by a few friends and I am very happy and confident in the care my daughter is receiving. I will say the front desk is just ok, but when it comes to my daughter I don't care about the front desk. Also, most doctors offices have horrible office staff anymore. read more

The nurse line is really good. My daughter got hives from daycare. I called allegro nurseline and I got prompt reply.I talked to nurse thrice and she told what to do and told me that i really didnt have to come to the clinic. I anyway went on 3rd day but looking back i can say that it was not required...as told by the nurse. Also, the rescheduling and scheduling both are taken care sometimes at short notice as well. Dr. Sjoberg is the best! I highly recommend her. Other Doctors at this place that my kids have seen were good too! Plenty of parking in the back of the building. The clinic is on the first floor. read more
