Penske is the BEST option for moving from apartment to apartment. Their small truck bed is 2 feet…read morelonger than their competitors. This location is in the rental section of Home Depot. The farthest door to the right when looking at the parking lot. The Home Depot rental staff is hit or miss. Some are new and do not know how to work Penske's computer systems (which after moving all day and having to wait for them to call Penske and then troubleshoot) may make you wait 20 mins just to get your receipt. Here is where Penske shines. After my receipt debacle, I was informed I would be getting a certain dollar amount back: the deposit on the truck plus unused predetermined millage that was part of my quote before picking up the truck. This would only be given back obviously if the truck came back unscathed. So I get the dollar amount that will be reimbursed wait a few days (can take 7-10 business days depending on your bank) and Penske reimbursed me $20 more than their initial reimbursement quote. I will definitely be using this company for all future moves.

A number of weeks prior to move date, I found a lower rate through Budget; called Penske and they reduced my rate to just about the same rate as Budget. I subsequently had to change dates and options a couple times before move date and each time the telephone service was painless and perfect. On pickup day, the size truck we reserved was not available. We were upgraded to a 26' vehicle (which I wasn't really crazy about at the time) and our rate was discounted even further! The service at pickup was wonderful....they actually made us feel like they appreciated our business!! The truck was perfect and as it turned out.....we needed the extra capacity! It drove like a dream, no mechanical issues whatsoever and drop off was a piece of cake. Best yet...after all was said and done, we saved over $400 from the original rate that was quoted!
