I recently needed to replace my home air conditioning system due to a blown compressor. I called all of the big name companies here in Fort Lauderdale. All Year Cooling, Lindstrom, Air Around The Clock, and ECM. I own my own business and I get comparison shopped all the time, so I figured if I was going to get the best price I needed to take a lesson from my customers and talk with all of the big players. I idea was to pit them against each other to get the lowest price. So I got all four estimates and from lowest to highest they went All Year Cooling, ECM, Air Around The Clock and at almost a thousand higher from All Year Cooling was Lindstrom. The Lindstrom sales rep told me that they were the only company that did background checks and that the other companies cut corners on the install. Needless to say I did not call them back. I told Air Around The Clock at the time I scheduled the estimate that I wanted a Trane system. When they came to my house they tried to sell me a Rheem. When I was not interested in a Rheem they tried to talk me into an American Standard unit selling me on that it was the exact same as a Trane. Where they are both owned by the same company it is like selling someone a Toyota rather than a Lexus and telling them that it is the same. Yes I know they share some of the same parts but when you really get into the system there is no comparison. Trane is a much better system! We all know it!! I hate sales people that try to talk me into changing my mind on a decision. Shame on you Air Around The Clock for pretending like I could buy a Trane system from you!! As for ECM, their sales rep was a half an hour late in getting to my house to give the estimate. He was very friendly and their price was only a couple hundred over All Year's quote. When I called them back to pit them against All Year I was on hold for over 13 minutes trying to get someone in sales. They undoubtedly use an answering service and when I finally got someone on the phone they were just a receptionist that could not talk about money with me. I got a call back a couple of hours later from my sales rep and they ultimately matched All Years Price. They told me that All Year was going to cut corners and do a crappy install and that they was the only way they were not losing money on the job. I hate companies that bad mouth the competition. My business gets falsely bad mouthed all the time because I have better product and prices and it is all my competitors have to stand on. Sell me on your business not why I should not use the other guy!!! Well I did not stop there. I called All Year with my matched price estimate from ECM and within one minute I had the owner Tom on the phone. Tom assured me that I would be 100% satisfied or I would not have to pay until I was. He took another $100 off of the quote and gave me a free year of preventative maintenance on my new system. They pulled the permits and had my unit installed the very next day! It was incredible! I was without air for only three hours! The guys who did the install were very clean cut in uniforms with ID badges. They even noticed a piece of ducting that needed to be replaced and did it at no charge. Now that is great service! Moral of the story if you need a new A/C system for your home... Save yourself the time and headache and call All Year Cooling! Get an estimate... Have them knock a hundred off... Get some free maintenance... and rest assured that you got the best product at the best price! That is why I am taking the time to write this review... So you don't have to take the time that I did to figure out how to get the best deal!!! Trust me!!! Call Tom!! He will take care of you!!! read more

What a Nightmare! I am a project manager and used All Year Cooling for my own home. Everything went on without a hitch, fast forward 1 year, I had one of my construction projects need an A/C replacement so I didn't hesitate in calling AYC to get the job done right. WOW! What a difference one year makes! Even though AYC gave me a reasonable price. I would have gladly spent more money to not have to deal with this nightmare! This unit was originally installed in April/2012, called for inspections - FAILED, even though I got a phone call the next day to try to schedule a "tech" to come address the inspector's notes, they didn't send someone out until 1 1/2 weeks later... I finally meet the tech on site and I am told the unit has to be uninstalled and re-installed in order to hook up the overflow switch! WTH! 3 more weeks go by (6/15), they send an install crew that in addition to removing and re-installing the unit the SAME EXACT WAY it was originally, they lost the only set of keys I had to the property and it cost me $170 to order a new set of keys from the management company in addition to pay a Locksmith to come and change the locks on the condo on Friday afternoon! One week goes by, and I had just gotten back into town, inspection is scheduled for June 19th, 2012 and the inspector looks at me and asks: "Where is the overflow switch?" Boy did I wish the earth would have swallowed me whole at that moment! I had just wasted MY time and the inspector's time because I decided to trust AYC when they told me the job had been completed and corrected! I was BESIDE myself! I contacted AYC for the 10th time and told them this needed to be corrected ASAP because otherwise I can't finalize this building project and they had the guts to tell me they can't send someone out until July 10th or around there. Holy Jesus! I think my blood pressure dropped when the lady told me that! I recomposed myself quickly and informed the young lady that it would be imperative to have someone correct the problem so she complied and said she would get a tech sent to me. Feeling content I met the "techs"....You think my nightmare is over now? Think again! I was sent to 2 electrical techs who do not do installations! I felt bad for the guys wasting their time and mine coming to South Beach for nothing! Does AYC have NO consideration for people's time???? I can't be traveling to this project and parking myself there for hours on end to wait on people, for crying out loud this was the 7th trip for this A/C install! I still have problems getting a hold of a human being that will actually help me with this! I have spoken to Steve (Install Manager) over 5 times and he always says the same thing: "You are on the board for installation, how about ____ between 9am-12pm?" I was left twirling my thumbs twice because no one cares to call me that they won't be able to make it to the appointment! COMPLETE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM! The most aggravating part of this is that this is not my home and AYC doesn't care to do a good job so they will get more jobs from me! I had to answer to the owners every time AYC didn't come through on their promises! I now have a looming violation on this property about to start accruing daily fines because AYC can't get their sh*t straight. I have lost my trust in this company! And I will make sure to go with someone else in my 2 current and future jobs. read more

This the second review I have written for All Year Cooling. I still like them very much and feel they operate with a high level of integrity. We have a big house with two ac units. One is just 4 years old, and the other- 16 years old, and likely beyond its normal life expectancy. But for specific reasons, we are not ready to replace it. All Year has helped us keep it humming beautifully for the past 6 years. We put our house on the market for sale however, and have been disturbed at the crap the buyers inspectors came up with . Turns out the inspectors were wrong about our heater setting, they don't understand how it functions. But they damned us in their report. I called All Year to come and check it to see what the hoopla was about and Mario examined it and found both the AC and heater to work perfectly. He even explained to me how to tell the next pre buy inspector how to work it so it doesnt end up on their report as a strike against us. He also checked the unit outside to give me feedback on the drainage and hose fittings and all. He put all of these positive findings in his report that I can now share with a homebuyer and the next idiot home inspector who sees an older unit and wants to imagine the worst. I have also had past communication with the owner Tommy, and can personally attest to his immediate involvement and no hassle guarantee on his guy's work. That in and of itself assured me that no matter what happens, good or bad, I can always get some accountability from the company . In a fly by night place like South Florida with some shady operators, Tommy the owner is running his company right and as a result, setting himself apart from the herd of half cocked idiots out there. I have run through nearly all of the other companies before I found All Year. If someone is unsatisfied with the service, I would hazard a guess to say they did not give the owner a fair chance to make things right. Because I do know he always comes through in the end. The goal is to do it right in the beginning of course. But if that fails, there IS ACCOUNTABILITY. And I promise you, the owner has good people working for him, and will not make you jump through hoops to satisfy your requirements. Their response time is commendable, and we have even had a guy come help us a few summers ago on a SUNDAY evening at dinner time in sweltering temps. I will never forget that . read more

I have tried to wait to leave this review but I'm so disappointed with this company! I had a new ac installed in April and it has broken down twice already and to make matters worse I requested for the manager to call me due to a lack of communication issue on their par for my permit and since Wednesday I asked and it is now Saturday and still no call back! What makes it even worse is they don't ever answer the phone it's like they have caller id and say nope we are not going to help her at all! I feel like they literally tricked me into getting a new system just so they can wipe their hands with any issues! This is second time this week my ac has broken! On Tuesday I had to take off of work and the guy said a wire was tripping on the outside unit then I was supposed to have permit inspection Wednesday I got an email confirmation and all and then after me calling them numerous times and taking off work I finally get a hold of someone who tells me oops I was supposed to call you it's cancelled. I asked both him and a woman to have the manager call me because it gets old! And nothing now it's Saturday and no ac again! Oh and let's not forget the horrible nasty hole repair they left in my brand new ceiling after they tried to install a new duct. Which the techs said they would send someone back to repair. Then they were also supposed to bring a new filter vent which they never did neither. I really am just tired of the run around when it's a new system that they provided me with! I just think customer service is lacking and I myself work in customer service and would never leave a customer with such a bad experience. I'm still waiting for some kind of manager to call me back! They have since contacted me and a very nice lady by the name of Lauren says she will make sure everything is taken care of and she immediately sent out a tech to fix the issue. Top-Notch: Someone at the Health Dept referred All Year Cooling to us and we were not disappointed. There was a new HVAC put in last year, but without a permit, and that always indicates there will be many short-cuts, which the owner will pay for deatly. After 14 months, it was time to stop playing games with health and happiness and fresh air - and finally get a new company to put in a quality AC and do so by following the law, the rules and safety guidelines. All Year AC did not disappoint. From the moment Joe Nicolosi showed up to tell us about how their system works, which is best for my friend's needs and what not to do - he also spent time not selling the unit because, after all, they install 15 per day so they don't really need to force a sale: their company sells itself, especially with Joe as the lead. We were not going to let Joe go without solving the problem my friend had, so within 2 days, a complete new #Rheem HVAC was installed along with complete duct cleaning and sealing + the option was picked up for the extra 10 yr complete warranty. When you call for installation, you can ask for Orlando and Patrick = they worked well together. Maybe you can special request them. Mauricio cleaned all of the ducts and sealed them and all 3 men were willing to educate us along the way. My brother was in AC for 26 years and yet, I never saw such integrity and quality, as I saw with the employees with this company, even starting with the sales dept (Esther) and the weekend staff. I feel that we should have them all for Thanksgiving Dinner!!! And the owner, Tom Smith - well, his business fully supports veterans and since my friend is a veteran, this is important to us. Your home and family deserve the craftsmanship of All Year Cooling and the individual staff that we mentioned. I had a great experience with all members of the team at All Year Cooling. I arrived home New Year's night from an out of town trip to find my AC had malfunctioned while I was out of town. The next day (Saturday) I called All Year.  Within one minute I had confirmed an AC Tech would be sent the next day (Sunday). The tech, Gerald, was right on time, took pains to use all social distancing protocol and went right to work. He had the AC running in less than 10 minutes and within 25 miuntes made an either/or recommendation: do $375 worth of maintenance to keep the AC going for a few months OR install a new AC unit.  A decision to purchase and install a new unit was made. An appontment for the next day was confirmed. Two All Year techs arrived the next day morning right on time (Sorry, I dont recall their names. They were awesome too!)  They were also extrememely efficient.  They quickly and quietly removed, then installed, substantially large equipment inside and out.  They were polite, patiently answered questions I had that would assist me in my future maintenance, and deep cleaned as they worked. A few days later Gerald followed up with me to remind me to send my FPL account info to him so he could file for a $150 credit for installing a new AC (I had gotten busy and neglected to send it to him as I had ealrier promised). In short, I was EXTREMELY impressed with the entire All Year team. I certainly wasn't looking forward to starting the new year by having to unexepectedly replace my AC, but WOW!  The entire process (which I was dreading) ended up being one of the smoothest contractor interactions I have had (and as a real esate agent and former house flipper I have had more than my share of interaction with contractors). Horrible Experience - Stay Far Away from All Year Cooling! I cannot express enough how terrible my experience with All Year Cooling was. I paid for the service and installation of two air conditioners, and once the payment was made, it was like they completely vanished. No one responded to my calls or messages, and I was left in the dark with no way to get any updates or resolve issues. After numerous attempts to contact them, I finally called their main office, hoping to get a resolution or at least some answers. Instead of being treated with any professionalism or respect, I was met with rude, dismissive behavior because I was asking for a refund. It was completely unbelievable how poorly I was treated after spending a significant amount of money on their services. They couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. At this point, I realized I wasn't going to get any help from them, so I had to file a chargeback through my credit card just to get my money back. The fact that I had to go to these lengths to get a refund is beyond frustrating. Their so-called "10-year labor warranty" is just a gimmick. Once they've got your payment, they completely forget about you and your warranty. They promise long-term service but do nothing to honor it once the sale is complete. Save yourself the trouble, the stress, and the frustration - DO NOT do business with All Year Cooling. You'll only regret it. I am writing to say how very pleased my wife and I are after purchasing our new Rheem air conditioner from All Year Cooling this past January, 2010. I am a person who believes "in not fixing something if it is not broken." However, after nearly everyone in my neighborhood had been replacing their original 10 year old AC units, I thought I had better; at least, start thinking about getting a new unit with FPL offering a rebate and with a tax credit for purchasing a new efficiency unit too. I saw an All Year Cooling ad in the paper, called and set up an appointment for an estimate. I felt no pressure from the salesman and, in fact, he had the President, T. Smith, on the line helping decide the correct replacement unit I needed to replace my unit. I was very impressed to the say the least! I discussed having my air ducts cleaned at the same time in which they accommodated also. In summary, I was very pleased by the All Year Cooling salesman for not pressuring me in making a decision; the involvement of the company president, the quality of the workmanship (the unit was put in within six hours) and the Rheem Air Conditioner product itself and especially the cost in the end. I am glad that I made that decision to buy early rather than waiting until it was broken in May, June, July, or August and then unable to get immediate service. All Year Cooling helped me to make that difficult decision. Again, I am happy with All Year Cooling and highly recommend them. read more

We highly recommend All Year Cooling for AC maintenance and repairs.  After we bought our new house in Palm Beach Gardens, we shopped around for a reputable company to help take care of our AC.  Based on the reviews, we decided to go with All Year Cooling.  A  few weeks after signing a preventative maintenance inspection contract with them, our condenser motor blew.  We called All Year Cooling that morning, and even though same-day service was not required by our contract, their technician was here within a few hours!  The technician determined that the broken part was still under manufacturer's warranty, and ordered the new part, which was delivered and expertly installed by another technician shortly afterward.  Their dispatchers let us know exactly when to expect the technicians, and even followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work.  We had one very minor clean-up issue, which was immediately resolved to our complete satisfaction by the president of the company himself!  If anything, this minor incident only confirmed our judgment that All Year Cooling is an outstanding company that really cares about its customers and stands behind its work.  We have continued to use plan to use this excellent company to keep our AC unit in top shape, and plan to continue using them in the future.  We strongly recommend All Year Cooling to our friends and neighbors. read more

We have lived in Florida for 20 years. For the first 8, we rented and finally purchased the house that we had rented for 7 years. We always had a 10 Seer handler and in the summer it would take a full day to make the house comfortable. We blamed it on the poor insulation of our wood home. The temperature never dropped below the 80 degree mark. Instead of running the whole house conditioner, we resorted to window units and only turned on the central system when we had dinner guests on Sat. night. If we had run the whole house system everyday, our bill would have been close to $400 + dollars every month. This year, we answered an ad by All Year Cooling & Heating, Inc. and purchased a Trane 4 ton, and a Trane 4 ton 16 Seer air handler. We compared prices and they were the best price. They installed the unit and we were thrilled with the results. When we tested the system, it didn't work properly and they were back the next day to take care of it. That was all that was needed. It is perfect. This has been the coolest summer for us and our bill was the same as it had been running all of the window units. This is so much more pleasant. We raise the temperature in the day to 80 and set it at 74 for sleeping. All Year Cooling and Heating is a very reputable company and I would highly recommend them. Barbara Handler read more

I dont know if anything I am going to write will suffice for how well taken care of and excellent customer service I was provided by this company. BEST AC COMPANY IN FORT LAUDERDALE! 10 STARS! Can I write a million reviews? Because I would! I have now had TWO AC units installed by them and our ducts cleaned / remediated. The crews were on time, we were called ahead to confirm and they worked quickly and efficiently. I had received quotes initially and they were able to beat the quotes I had gotten. We had a little oops when some of the duct remediation material splatted in some areas of my home but this was IMMEDIATELY corrected and Tommy went ABOVE AND BEYOND expectations. After our experience there was NO question in our mind that we were going to use this company again a months down the line for our second AC unit - and we did! Again, coming through with the ALL STAR team who coordinated with us in the middle of construction and coming through LATE NIGHT and working their tail off well past midnight. BRAVO! I was able to speak with Tommy the owner on MULTIPLE occassions and i truly believe this is a business owner who is about CUSTOMER SERVICE and not out to get your money or scam you. What can I say about All Year Cooling and Tommy Smith, its owner? I have been using them for years, as has my entire family. Tommy always puts the customer first, whatever it takes. As an example my AC unit had begun rusting after several years in the humid Florida air. Most companies would just call it normal conditions, and run. Not Tommy. He called the manufacturer and went to bat for me. A few weeks later I learned that All Year Cooling was able to convince the manufacturer to replace my unit at minimal cost. There are few if any companies that would have taken the time or even cared. Most in fact, would try to sell you a new unit. Again that's not the way Tommy works - if you need a new AC he'll tell you. If all it needs is a repair, he'll tell you that too. The techs are all knowledgeable, and come to you with a smile and 'can do attitude'. That comes from the top down. The day after my install, the AC stopped. I called All Year Cooling and they had someone over to my home within one hour. Fortunately, it turned out to be simply a blown fuse, but the tech knew exactly where to look, diagnosed and fixed the problem in minutes. I must say, that I had no idea just how loyal and amazing this company could actually be. On each receipt, the presidents name and phone number, yes, a direct line to the president of the company is present. Sometimes, you think that that line won't really go anywhere. But you'll be met with more customer service people instead. Less than an hour after posting my yelp review last night, the president of the company, Tommy Smith, called me personally to discuss what was happening with my AC unit. Not only was he exceptionally kind and concerned, he was adamant about finding a solution to the hot air that was coming out of my unit, and was extremely apologetic for the discomfort the hot air caused. He has been hands-on and instrumental in the fixing of my unit today, and I am extremely grateful. I 100% take back what I previously wrote. Matter of fact, I'd say the total opposite. This is a company that stands behind their work and cares about providing exceptional service. My family has used them before, my landlord has obviously use them for this unit, and I will continue to use this company in the future! Excellent experience with All Year Cooling! I called them just to get a quote but, their customer service was so attentive and assuring that I ended up getting a unit with them. I called to validate that a quote that I had gotten from a trusted contractor was adequate but, without hesitation, they sent a representative out to my house immediatly and he was there within half an hour. They made me feel like a very valued customer because they literally re-routed him to my house from his route. The prices were as good as I had seen and I had been shopping around for months. Furthermore, they offered great financing options (3 years with minimal fees/interest or 12 months no interest) and gave me a lot of confidence with the purchase. The sales representative included a year of labor in addition to the 10 year manufacturer warranty and they included the installation of my NEST thermostat and supports that were required of the air handler in my house at no additional cost (after they had quoted me for the unit). They offered to have the unit installed THE NEXT DAY! The installation was quick and the tech that installed the unit was very nice and knowledgeable. I got a 3 ton, 16 SEER, TRANE Unit and it runs better than I could have imagined. read more

We purchased a new AC system for our Condo in Delray Beach. 1st of all, I called 3 companies for quotes and the salesman, Edgar from "All Year", called us back within the hour! The other places called me the next day. One place never even called me back! I sent Edgar some pictures. He gave us choices of different brands of units and explained the difference. We had a lot of questions, which were answered quickly via email and text. We also mentioned about our ducts being dirty and they recommended we "recondition" our ducts. That means cleaning and then coating the inside to make them like new. It's like a thick paint substance and it seals the duct work. The 2 guys that installed the unit were excellent. Within a few hours we had the new system running and what a difference! They knew what they were doing! So respectful too. They asked if they should take their shoes off in the house and were very nice about not disrupting us in our home offices. They separately came and worked on the ducts. Also a good experience. We are very happy so far, and I believe we got the best unit at the best price too. We have another rental condo and we will be called by Edgar for that new unit too.
