Pros: Prompt response & service Knowledgeable & highly professional Technician Reliable/flexible-Rescheduled appointment to an earlier time slot with no issues Cons: May be cost prohibitive for some In my case: 192.43 Diagnosis fee 779.38 for services rendered: Total cost was 971.81 1) Diagnose garage light fixture not working (ballast/lighting was replaced on (2) units) 2) Estimate to replace a fixture on the outside of home (lighting replaced with a flood light fixture) 3) Estimate for an future install of an outlet in the master bath. Estimate was provided and totaled 868.36 for parts/labor/inspection permit admin fee Summary: I've had other companies out and have experienced poor results. In contrast the work that was performed by the Volt Doctors Tech was done pristinely. The owner is a very nice and hard-working local man businessman that knows his stuff. They were able to work on many items on my list and I am excited they will be coming back to give the house a complete check for older sockets and some loose plugs. A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

I got a reminder from Zara electric that I had a $100 credit. I needed a socket changed out in a light fixture in the bathroom and decided, with $100 credit, I would let Zara electric do it rather than doing it myself. I told them the socket was loose and they sent a man out. He told me there was a diagnostic charge. I told him that I already knew what was wrong and I just needed him to please fix it. My mistake... I assumed since I had a $100 credit that I'd probably be charged an additional $75 or so to fix the socket. He charged me over $400 and said that was taking the hundred dollars off. In other words, a couple hundred for a diagnostic fee and a couple hundred to fix the problem. Before he fixed it, he said I just to sign some papers to give authorization to fix it and I stupidly did not read the papers. I paid them and I will never use them again nor will I recommend them to anybody. The pricing is totally out of this world and if you use them, make sure you check to see what their diagnostic fee is and make sure that they don't charge you that fee in addition to a high repair fee which is what happened to me. The socket I needed repaired for a stuck lightbulb. I did it myself.!!!
