First-time visitor to this mall, and I really enjoyed my visit…read more Some of the big names in the retail world have stores here, which was a nice surprise. Stores such as Apple, Aldo, The Gap, Banana Republic, Bed, Bath & Body, Bloomingdale's, Coach, Express, Hollister, Macy's, Vans, and many others. The mall is a good size, very clean, and well-maintained. The food court was extremely clean, comfortable, and somewhat fancy-looking, with plenty of tables, benches, and chairs to sit and relax throughout the mall. Friendly employees can be seen cleaning throughout the mall, assuring that this place is kept as spotless as possible. Free parking is available both in the parking garage adjacent to the mall and in non-garage parking on the east and south sides of the mall.

It was truly disgusting. I've complained this time and last time this happened (homeless man in one of the nursing stations). There should be security in the corridor, especially given that it is right next to an outlet to riverside drive. Westfield, you need to care more about the families and women supporting your establishment!

New spot who this!…read more Ghost Food Court kitchen formerly Sushi Plus BBQ Teriyaki is located in Van Nuys Blvd/ Magnolia Blvd strip mall along with Auto Zone A&V Grill and other local small businesses. They have a fair amount of shared parking and some nice tables and chairs inside. I wanted to stop in being local to the area and check out the new revamp. The menu was similar, but fresh and the flavors were still very much there. Unfortunately for me they scaled back on a lot of their veggie options, but more so the vegan friendly variety. They still have some classics to choose from such as their avocado roll, cucumber roll and sides such as rice, french fries and edamame. Teriyaki Tofu Bowl is a fav (vegetarian and vegan by default) - yummy veggies with three thick cooked stripes of grill tofu. When I ordered today they weren't sure if they had tofu in stock... Possibly being very popular and in a lot of the dishes including one of the Bento Box deals. The lady on duty came back ready to take my order with a extra bright smile. Mild mix up when ordering because bowl and box can sound similar when outside or background noise flows in, but very easy fix! You can scan the QR code on the door to check out their menu as well as visit Ghost Food Court online. I love the concept of Japanese, Korean and American style cuisine all in one place - fast casual yum, but do hope they'll revisit or introduce some new dietary friendly items back. The Tofu Teriyaki Bento comes with California rolls currently an easy mod for cucumber would make that a vegetarian meal easy peasy. Still updating and modernizing their new renovated and hopefully thriving with time GFC, maybe yours too! Stop it, take out or deliver to yourself and enjoy :)

Upon entry there is a takeout area where you can order hot meat dishes and to go menu or dine in. We got complimentary hot tea when seated. The interior is a bit dated compared with other restaurants of this type but the food was delicious. We got duck and preserved egg porridge, scrambled egg with shrimp, and a two bbq combo plate of char siu and roast pork. The porridge came out fast and delicious! We ate with the chili and white paper available at the table. Next came the scrambled egg and shrimp. We actually ordered the version with rice, not the entree so the servers got us some rice but missing the gravy. Lastly came the bbq combo plate. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. The roast pork however was not as crispy and kinda mealy so the sauce helped.

It's one of those places where it's loud because customers are ordering from the barbecue stall adjacent to the dining room, which is filled with diners at every table. Lots of wait staff are milling about, busy taking orders, delivering dishes to diners, and turning tables for the next set of guests waiting their turn. I got off a 7-day trip from Seattle and was craving roasted duck. I thought I was going to just grab-n-go on this trip but decided to grab lunch with the fam. We kept it simple with 3 main dishes. The watercress stirfried with garlic is always a staple at every Chinese restaurant meal. Their porkchops here was neither greasy or salty. It had the right amount of seasoning and crunch. Also got the beef chowfun. When ordering, the waiter will always ask whether you want dry or with gravy. I almost always prefer the dry variation. There was plenty food for 3 people and still had leftovers to take home. Not pictured here is the whole roasted duck I purchased or the glistening array of duck and other barbecued meats they sell for to go.

Cheesecake Factory, along with so many other eateries, a snack shop, along with Buffalo Wings, P.F.Chang is still there. I am not going to name one by one what's there and what's not. All I can say is that everyone over there starting from the security guards are nice, helpful and friendly. It's a big structure based on 3 stories. Same goes for parking. Yes, I agree with some of the Yelpers that the foot traffic has diminished a little bit. That also depends what day and time of the week you go there. We arrived a little past 10 and were very fortunate to find a parking spot as the lot was just about completely full (there are attendants that help you out with the parking). Make sure to bring cash, as that's your main method of payment. You exchange your cash for colored tokens at a booth, and use the tokens to purchase food from the different stalls. If you have tokens left over, you can exchange them back for cash. There are so many food stalls and they all look like they have delicious food! I got a picture of my Pad Thai, but also ordered some fried rice and other foods to go. I thought the Pad Thai was very flavorful, and really can't be beaten for $8. There are lots of outdoor benches (covered) where you can sit and enjoy your food, and I also saw a lot of people getting food to go. Felt like an authentic night market. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

I enjoy getting a drink occasionally from Agua Cabana on the second floor, and the perfect mall snack is an Açaí bowl from Bearies on the first floor. My favorite stores include - Pop Mart, Box Lunch, Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Miniso, Hot Topic, Hollister, Old Navy, Journey's & Sophi's Cosmetics. It's a smaller mall but it's local & always a solid place for a hang out. There is also many on site restaurants that I enjoy such as Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen & Red Robins. There is also an Escapology located here outside the mall which is great as an interactive experience. The workers I've encountered here are typically very friendly & the mall is kept very clean.

It's a smaller mall compared to others nearby which tends to have more stores. If I'm here it's for either one or two stores or to just walk around to see what there is available. This visit was for something simple that needed to be done. Which I knew that they had a certain store. Surprising it was pretty busy for a Monday. Mind you it was a holiday and kids are off of school. But to see this place pretty lively was amazing. Each visit, tends to alway be pretty mellow. The stores aren't quite the same as they used to be. Loads of the stores that once thrive have faded away. But something new would takes its place. Hopefully they'll last for some time. I did noticed that the food court does seem to have some interesting vendors. Plus there's a new Panini Cafe at the old Red Robbin's location. It's quite big which I was surprised to see walking in today. They have both an indoor patio as well an outdoor patio. The mall isn't what it used to be. The bigger chain stores have gone or either went out of business. Macys is still there which I'm quite surprised. Regardless, people are still going to be buying whether it be a new store or an old one.
