Our car broke down on a Saturday night and Ricardo reached out to us as soon as they opened on Monday morning just to let us know what was going on. We needed a new transmission and they said the job would take about two weeks. I let them know that I lived a few hours away, and my kids were about to start school. Not only did they fix the car in less than 48 hours because it was an emergency, but then they held it for me until I could figure out how to get back there to pick it up. I cannot thank them enough, and Ricardo was great. He was super helpful, very pleasant, and took the time to explain absolutely everything. We just drove home to New Jersey and I couldn't be happier(unless it never happened lol)

Had 11,000 miles on it. Environmental Auto failed it. Said it needed wipers and an oil change and wanted over $300.00 to do the service, what?? I declined and took it to the NAPA Store across the street, they said they wouldn't change the wipers as there was no need. Finally got the oil changed today as this was the recommendation on the sticker in the windshield. I took it back to Environmental Auto on the way home to get my sticker and they said nope, it's been 34 days since we did the inspection, we need another $119.00 dollars because it's over 30 days. I don't have another $119.00 to give them. Now I'm driving illegally waiting on my next SSI check to take it somewhere else.

Went anyway, and glad I did. Calvin is an experience transmission mechanic (40years) and knows what he's talking about. Don't expect him to repair your whole car if you ask for transmission service. Don't expect him to eat the cost of a new transmission if you added a transmission cooler and didn't secure the line, and kept driving it after it leaked out TWO GALLONS of transmission fluid. My transmission need a broken pump repaired. In the course of the work, Calvin discovered that the wrong oil filter was previously installed (and corrected it). Charged me for two hours work and I was out the door for way less than I thought possible. I would recommend this honest mechanic to anybody. He knows what he' s doing. The previous poor ratings seem very unfair after dealing with him first hand.
