After checking the codes and finding the issue, they began to research the problem. After they began checking equipment they were unable to duplicate the error and tried over multiple days. Rather than make repairs that "might" be they cause they asked us to pick up the vehicle and bring it back if the issue returned. It has been 3 weeks and still no issue. We know there may be a future repair needed, but would rather have the correct answer and not a bunch of unneeded work first. The office staff and the mechanic we spoke to during the week were very professional and we never felt rushed or that we were bothering them. They even recommended a local tow company when we initially called without hesitation. We will be bringing all our vehicles there going forward.

Had 11,000 miles on it. Environmental Auto failed it. Said it needed wipers and an oil change and wanted over $300.00 to do the service, what?? I declined and took it to the NAPA Store across the street, they said they wouldn't change the wipers as there was no need. Finally got the oil changed today as this was the recommendation on the sticker in the windshield. I took it back to Environmental Auto on the way home to get my sticker and they said nope, it's been 34 days since we did the inspection, we need another $119.00 dollars because it's over 30 days. I don't have another $119.00 to give them. Now I'm driving illegally waiting on my next SSI check to take it somewhere else.

Went anyway, and glad I did. Calvin is an experience transmission mechanic (40years) and knows what he's talking about. Don't expect him to repair your whole car if you ask for transmission service. Don't expect him to eat the cost of a new transmission if you added a transmission cooler and didn't secure the line, and kept driving it after it leaked out TWO GALLONS of transmission fluid. My transmission need a broken pump repaired. In the course of the work, Calvin discovered that the wrong oil filter was previously installed (and corrected it). Charged me for two hours work and I was out the door for way less than I thought possible. I would recommend this honest mechanic to anybody. He knows what he' s doing. The previous poor ratings seem very unfair after dealing with him first hand.
