I know that it would likely be in my best interest but since we are selling our property in the near future I explained why I didn't want one. The company went over and above to accommodate me with an issue with the troubleshooting charge and completed to get my business. The tech was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I was able to get high level service and just wanted I needed to make things right.

Received estimate for $495.00. Took tech to another sink and asked for a new rubber gasket. Tech took my stopper and plunged handle so hard it bent the bezel around stopper. Sink now unusable. Estimate: $424.37. Tech inspected 1 year old gas water heater and suggested it be drained and add a sediment filtration. Only $834.00. Tech went into crawl space and came back with work done the previous year not satisfactory. He sent pictures to his supervisor who he said agreed with him and that manager would be contacting me. Two weeks later, no call. Had pressure valve replaced last year, and this year tech said "I wouldn't have placed it where and how previous tech installed it". So, previous year's free inspection came to $6000.00 (New water heater, new pressure valve, replace section of cracked pvc waste line, and I really should have all the drain lines [installed in 2019] brought up to code!!! And now, insult to injury, because I didn't bite on the estimate to flush my new water tank, tech left without replacing the panel to AquaHut, taking the 9 sheet metal screws with him. Fool me once, fool me twice, but no more.

Could not or would not diagnose the problem with my AC unit, after 3 service call visits. Every time I called they tried to sell me a new system. Every service tech that came out tried to sell me a new system. The service manager came out and told me I need a new blower motor for $2,600, that Trane blower motors are expensive to replace due to electronics and programming. They installed the blower motor and the system still did not work. I found an honest, competent firm that diagnosed the problem in 30 minutes, repaired the system for $375, and informed me that my new blower motor was not a Trane part but an aftermarket part that costs about half as much. DO NOT use this company, they are crooked.

Told me that he legally had to shutoff the gas supply to the unit as it was dangerous. Quoted me ballpark figures of $5k to replace the heat exchanger or even better to replace the entire unit at a cost of $9k-$15k! I immediately called my prior service company and them come out and inspect the unit the next business day. They pulled the blower motor and showed me a very shiny heat exchanger that was in perfect shape. The thing the Preferred technician was showing me was the burner, not the heat exchanger! My prior technician also informed me my unit is still under warranty and the heat exchanger has a 20 year parts warranty so I would only have to pay $500 labor charge to replace it if it was bad. If feel like Preferred Home Services are dishonest and use scare tactics to upsell their unknowing customers on unnecessary repairs and replacements. I attempted to address these complaints with management at Preferred Home Services, but after waiting for 3 days with no call back, decided to post this review. When I contacted the company to ask for clarification and an itemized explanation, they would not provide a clear breakdown or meaningful answers. Now it's January, and my mother's heat shuts off when temperatures drop below freezing, which is unacceptable for a system that was recently serviced. We hired a different HVAC company to diagnose the issue. They found that the surge protector Long installed was miswired, and they also noted that Long should have changed the return duct filter during the service. Between the overcharging, lack of transparency, and what another professional identified as incorrect installation, I can't recommend this company, especially for anyone relying on heat during cold weather.

I call Full Air AC Repair to get Freon put in my unit. Justin came out for $110 and told me…read moreexactly what I already knew.... That my unit needed Freon. He said the Freon would cost about $750 and that I had a leak and needed stop leak and it would need to be changed to take a different kind of Freon because R22 is not available anymore. (It's available on Amazon). Anyways he quoted $2,000 to put Freon or $9,000 for a new unit. (I'm like I could get a couple of window units for cheape.) I asked him to put a duct back on that the water heater guys knocked off and he told me that he didn't have any supplies on the truck. After he left, I thought that I would consider putting Freon in myself. I went out to look at the unit and I heard a hissing sound coming from a valve. I took a video and sent it to him and asked about it. He said he could've hear anything. (The Freon that was in my unit was being drained!) I called someone else and they came out and put a new valve stem, reattached my duct, filled the unit with nitrogen to see if it would hold, then recharged my unit with 6lbs of Freon for $460. I highly recommended that everyone look elsewhere for their hvac needs. I saw these great reviews and thought I was getting some honest help. Nope!

However, Corley would not provide a proper invoice required by Duke that showed a break down of material and labor broken down on the invoice with totals, and to this day they have refused to accomodate me, so if your new to town and have an electric vehical, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
