Or, just don't hire them at all! MiselBerger Inc. recommended, sold, and installed a central AC system that is fundamentally incapable of cooling the 2nd & 3rd floor of our home, as agreed upon in the contract for their services. From the outset, the system has failed to perform its most basic function: maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures. Even while running continuously at maximum output, it struggles to bring the 2nd floor below the high 70s during late spring and summer weather conditions. MiselBerger Inc returned to our home more than five times to inspect the system and attempt modifications or fixes in the weeks after initial installation. None of their interventions resulted in a reasonable indoor temperature. After the repeated visits, they eventually gave up, blaming our "leaky house," rather than taking responsibility for their own errors. At no point did they acknowledge the improper sizing or offer a meaningful solution, refund, or corrective action. We eventually sought an independent evaluation from another HVAC contractor. That assessment confirmed what MiselBerger Inc. refused to acknowledge: the system they installed is significantly undersized. They installed a 2-ton unit (24,000 BTUs) for a space that requires approximately 33,000 BTUs (2.7 tons). This is not a minor discrepancy. It is a clear failure to perform basic load calculations and recommend appropriate equipment. We relied on MiselBerger Inc's expertise to guide this decision. Instead, we were sold a system that was never capable of meeting our home's cooling demands on the 2nd and 3rd floors. MiselBerger Inc failed to perform due diligence and left us with a costly, ineffective system that cannot do the job it was sold to do.

Instead, the installers were here all day and still had issues with the brand new unit, leaving me without AC on a very hot day. It made being in the house very uncomfortable. Although the installers were nice, that was the only good part of this experience. The company offered to pay for a hotel, but because of other responsibilities, it was not a practical solution. What made matters worse was the lack of communication afterward. I was told technicians would arrive at 10:00 a.m. the next day to troubleshoot the problem, and I made sure to be home. By 10:45 a.m., I still had not heard from anyone. No call, no update, nothing, until I reached out to them. The new technicians finally arrived at 11:45 a.m. For the amount of money a new HVAC system costs, this level of inconvenience and poor communication is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this was no easy fix and the hvac needed to be replaced. I suffer from a form of inflammatory arthritis that is exacerbated by the heat and would be without ac for a week or more. Do you know what James said? "I've got some window units that I'll bring by so you'll be comfortable until I can get back to install the new system". Within 45 minutes of James leaving my home, there's a knock at the door. It's Jennifer with the 2 window units. Wow, just wow!! Who does that? No large corporate hvac company would've done that. Talk about above and beyond and making us feel like family. I felt as if I had known James for years. Personable, honest, reliable and above all a wonderful human being!
