My wife called our insurance adjuster because we had some loose shingles and to my surprise, we…read morewere able to replace the roof through our insurance company by paying a hefty deductible. They basically cut a blank check and that was given to AJ Wells. Now, I would say that AJ Wells does a decent job, but I paid the most $$ on my block according to what my other neighbors said they paid, and their roofs look just as good. After the job was completed there were some nails through the ceiling, a little scary but none hit the floor. They fixed that. We also found some random nails for the next few weeks around the perimeter of the house and in the yard. Also, there are a ton of loose nails in the attic. I noticed that when taking out some Christmas decorations. Would I go with AJ Wells again? Maybe, but it would be highly unlikely.

We cannot say enough good things about Covenant Roofing and Construction…read more From our very first contact with the company, every interaction has been professional, kind, and compassionate. One of the things that stood out immediately is that they handle everything in house. That gave us confidence and peace of mind during a very stressful time. When a tree branch fell on our home, I did not know where to begin. My husband is blind, so the responsibility of navigating everything fell to me. I have also been out of work for six months, which added to the pressure. I started researching roofing companies carefully, and it quickly became clear that Covenant was the right choice. With a previous roofing company, we were talked into using shingles they already had on their truck. We did not feel informed about our options. This experience was completely different. Cody Devore took the time to make sure I fully understood our choices. He explained everything clearly and supported my decisions without pressure. His sweet smile, professional knowledge, and steady spirit reassured me that we were in good hands. He never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed. Austin Willis served as the foreman and carried that same professionalism and kindness from start to finish. His calm confidence and genuine care helped guide us through the entire process. The crew worked efficiently and respectfully, and the final result looks wonderful. More than that, we felt supported every step of the way. I am deeply thankful for Covenant Roofing and Construction and would confidently refer them to anyone who needs a company they can truly trust.

This company has given my friends and family all great experiences and will forever be who I recommend. We worked patiently together to ensure I got what I wanted and at any point was willing to work with me with insurance claims as well as self pay projects I've had them do. I never thought I could trust the work of others as much as I do now. Very knowledgable with asphalt shingles, flat decks, torch down, wood work, metal roofing, whatever you need you name it, they do it and has done numerous repairs on me and my families homes as we have had a lot of issues with other companies in the past. they're very family oriented and are very lenient to help you and your family the way they'd help their own to make sure you are confident in your decision. They share a google album and pictures of all their hard miraculous work once finished of the before and after pictures and when they stumbled upon rusted nail pop, staples, broken caps, etc during their FREE estimates they gave us great deals compared to other companies. Their warranty is great. As a woman, I'm very picky and worrisome but they definitely go out of their way to put you at ease with your home or whatever work you are having done. They're the handyman crew. I had a company come in and check out one of my roofs and then had Hammerhead roofing come out. HAMMERHEAD definitely surprised me with what they found ontop of what the other companies had missed. Give them a chance. They will not let you down!! Thanks doug and chuck. Yall are great.

Couple of days ago and for the…read morefirst time in 18 years we were informed by insurance company that we do not have a permit for our roof, therefore they cannot insure us. I called Champion and emailed them, of course they never responded. That is just how they do "business". About 7 years after they replaced the roof we had a leak. We went to their office and made an app for them to come out, they NEVER did. Second time we came to their office, Christopher saw us, ran and lady at the front said that he is not there :) Such wonderful humans. When I called City of Jax they stated that this company never paid for the permit and they never submitted copy of the contract. Nice work! Owner of this company at the time tried to scam us with paying more for services they did not do, so this company is the last place you want to do business with. We did not speak English well in 2007 as we do now, so they obviously realized they can scam foreigners. 2007 were different times. Now we can read reviews online and avoid companies like this one.

Champion Roofing replaced the roof on our house a couple of months before we purchased it and…read moreincluded a long-term warranty. Our home inspector noticed that water was pooling on part of the roof and suggested that the warranty should cover improper installation leading to water retention. Shortly after completing the sale, we reached out to Champion to register the warranty. Tina confirmed that this would be no problem, and she would start working on the paperwork. We mentioned the pooling water, and she told us that her boss (Chris, the owner) was out of town. He would get back to us upon his return. A week later, we had heard nothing about either the water or the warranty. This began two months of getting the run around. We would call, be told that the warranty was in process and Chris would reach out shortly, and then nothing would happen. This week, a branch fell on our roof, puncturing it in two places. Obviously, the warranty doesn't cover that, but we asked if Champion could repair the damage. After a few phone calls, Chris finally visited our home for the first time. I suppose he saw an opportunity to get paid again. He quoted a price for the puncture repair, and we asked him about the pooling water. His curt and rather rude response was, "That's normal. It's a flat roof. What do you expect?" I pointed at the even flatter carport roof that the same team installed right next to the pooling water and said, "That roof is also flat, but it doesn't hold water." I told Chris that his response was not acceptable. He described what he thought he could do, but said, "It won't fix the problem." He then sent us a proposal costing an additional $500, knowing that by his own admission it would probably be insufficient. We hold that a properly installed roof shouldn't retain pools of standing water for more than 48 hours and that the installation company should fix such deficiencies in their work when they arise. You can clearly see a dip between the edge and the center of that section of roof. Contrary to Chris's claim, it isn't a flat roof. Due to Champion's bad installation, it is a dipping roof. Additionally, when installing the carport roof, the crew did not take care to align their nails to the trusses, so there are long roofing nails poking through the underside of the ceiling in multiple locations. It's quite ugly. To resolve the punctures made by the fallen branch, we hired a different company that came to fix the damage within a few hours (after a single phone call), and they charged us less than half of what Chris quoted us. Clearly, the roof was not installed properly, and we are quite disappointed that Champion refuses to address their mistakes. Other homeowners should beware especially if your home doesn't have a steep roof, if you care about what the finished product looks like, or if you value prompt and courteous customer service.
