My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. They have completely transformed my life for the better and I sincerely hope they are getting the recognition/compensation they deserve for their relentless hard-work/efforts. I told him that the most important thing was for me to get back on the golf course and play with my usual group of friends. I have now started playing golf again! Way to go Mauricio!! If you are not educated enough on the area you live in and you don't know that some part of Escondido are 30 minutes away from each other then please don't come at me with the hostility. Very rude interaction she goes on to say okay I will pull the request then have a good day and hangs up. I would not go here if someone paid me $1,000 a visit. It took 5 years of requesting X-Rays, an MRI, going to a pain clinic, a back specialist, physical therapy, acupuncture, deep tissue massage and taking pain meds to establish a diagnosis and to treat the symptoms, all the while my back pain got progressively worse. I could not walk, stand up straight and sleep well at night. The medical diagnosis was determined to be mild arthritis and the MD's did not think I should be in so much pain. They offered surgery to deaden the nerves near my spine and at that point I gave up on the MD's and went to see Dr. Turpin. Six weeks after returning to Chiropractic care, my back pain has diminished by 50% and is continuing to improve, I am standing up straight, walking with little to no pain, sleeping soundly and I no longer take any medication for pain. There were several very good nurses including Christi, Rosio, Ana, Susanna, Mericel and Hector, to name a few. I did experience a small handful of not so great CNA's that were unpleasant and lazy but overall I received good care. They did run out of my pain medicine on 3 different occasions, one lasting almost 24 hrs when I was supposed to be receiving every 3 to 4 hrs. They did one time go into the emergency med kit to give me one dose during this time. Food not bad. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy was amazing!! I worked with Katie, Dori, Jennessy, Tierra, Jalwad, Ivan, Aldren, Jazmin Theresa and Bailey. They worked with me through exercise and physical challenges to rehabilitate me and it worked. Overall, most people at the facility were very nice, helpful and would address any concerns promptly. This was my first time at a Skilled Nursing Facility and my experience took a little time to get adjusted to but at the end I was very grateful for everyone. I want to give a shout out to the entertainment Director. She is bubbly and super kind. The perfect person for this position. The facility can use some new equipment in p.t. I had one 1on1 therapy session and the lady Tracy made me feel so uncomfortable, mocking me and speaking down on me, telling me to put my big girl pants on. When she saw I was uncomfortable she said "sorry, we like to laugh here" very unprofessional seeing as I had just joined rehab and obviously my life is not great. Apparently they had issues with my TRICARE insurance. Tricare is one of the best insurance. It's government insurance. The lady Nora said my insurance covers everything, and I can even check in the next day. So I flew in from out of state, 3 flights later, with my 1 year old son. I stayed for a week. I called Nora to give some feedback on my experience this morning, she then replied "so are you leaving today?" I said no, my insurance said it'll be 2-3 days for the new referral to go in but I will be looking for a new facility. She says okay. She was very defensive the whole call and made excuses for everything, even trying to blame me for the insurance issue. that's your responsibility lady! Next thing I know I got pulled into the office saying if insurance isn't fixed today I have to leave today. I packed my belongings and left within 30 minutes. They did not give me the opportunity to find a new location, they did not give me any grace, and did not care about me at all. Point blank. This is very serious for me seeing as I left my baby son to fix my life, and they kicked me out before I could figure out my next moves KNOWING my insurance would cover the costs. The way they handled things is shameful. And I would really reconsider if you've been thinking of this place. All we do is read a page off a book, reflect and share. Absolutely no 1/1. No depth. No finding solutions or understanding the trauma that led me here. They claim to do yoga and meditation, except they don't. Apparently no staff, Maybe that should have been mentioned! And removed from the site! Absolutely NOTHING was mentioned by anyone here. They basically put me in my room and left me to figure things out on my own. The lady Nora everyone speaks so highly of, that I was in contact with the whole time, was not around ever. She had said "I'll see you at 11" for my check in, and she was not there. I told her I was disappointed I didn't get to meet her and she stated that's not her job she's outpatient and doing paperwork so she's not at the house? Ok! They don't tailor groceries for your liking like they claim! She says that's not in the budget. But we are more than welcome to order stuff online. So WHY is it on the website. The website does NOT reflect this "facility". They gave me so much medication, 3 times a day, and when I mentioned I was constipated and had rectal bleeding the response was "idk, I'm not a nurse. I went to the Training Room for a left ankle injury and had 9 therapy sessions over 2 months, and…read morethe issue spread to my right ankle after doing the prescribed exercises. Overall, I was disappointed that the root cause was never identified or addressed. Their billing system is also inconsistent. I asked them to switch to charging a new credit card after a few sessions, but they continued charging to the old card. They also neglected to collect the correct amount from my first visit and waited 6 months to send a corrected statement.
