Then, they requested that we change insurance for my kids in order to keep services, but without behavior technicians. They also failed to maintain services until we fully transitioned to a new company. I am very frustrated with this company. Don't waste your time because they lack professionalism and fail to fulfill the basics.

Our ASD Story: We have a now 3 1/2 year old who was diagnosed Autism a little after his 2nd birthday. And of course being first time parents we were totally overwhelmed and scared about our new path that we were being placed on. As many of you who are going through the evaluation process it is hard on the parents. This was the same for us. Not knowing how to decide what services to use, or methods to implore left us feeling extremely underqualified as parents. We didn't know what to do or who to turn to. Luckily San Diego County does have very good recourses for those effected by developmental differences. After diagnosis through the San Diego County Regional Center system we were assigned to the ABAcus team as our service providers. Boy can I tell you this was the best thing that could have happened to our family. When we first meet the wonderful folks at ABAcus my sweet boy seemed to lost in his own world. He would not respond to his name, make eye contact, and had lost any language that he had learned in the first few months of his life, just to name a few of his quirks. But when we look at my boy now I am truly amazed by his accomplishments and growth. He now will make and maintain eye contact (even if it's only a few seconds - progress is progress), will respond to his name, and is growing his language every day. And I mean every day - We do ABA Mon-Fri. NONE of this would have been possible without ABAcus. We have two service providers and a supervisor that regularly work with my kiddo, and let me you how amazing they are. They are patient yet firm. They are ALWAYS evaluating his goals to make sure that he is getting as much out of our time together as possible, and it shows. I can tell that they really care about my son and my family. Not only to they care about my son's growth and progress, they also take the time to help us learn the skills we need to help our son succeed. If you are looking for an ABA provider you should definitely give ABAcus a try. They have given us back the ray of light and for that I cannot ever really express how grateful I am for ABAcus, and the folks make it as amazing at it is....

I honestly can not give Milestone Pediatric Therapy & their fantastic team enough praise! My son…read moresaw Miss Emily & Mary for speech therapy for around 3+ months. We find them through an approved list from our insurance carrier, Kaiser. The office is clean, & check in process was some of the smoothest I have ever experienced. No shoes are allowed once you cross out of the waiting room. The front desk ladies are friendly & really got to know my son in such a short amount of time. They always knew he wanted to show them whatever toy he brought for the day & there was always a sticker he enjoyed getting they'd let him pick out. Payments were automatic and I never had any issues there. Within one session with both ladies, we were able to get him using words we knew he had in there-they just helped him bring them to life. My son & I were both bummed when we ended services due to him starting preschool & getting the services while there. Emily really grew on him. He would absolutely light up seeing both ladies. My son, his attitude, behavior, and speech all elevated by coming to Milestone. The absolute patience the staff has is incredible. My son had a couple sessions of occupational therapy and we absolutely loved our therapist as well. I felt included in each of his sessions with all the ladies & there was something we worked on each week to improve the next. My son went from saying a handful of words to now speaking sentences. We game together and he fully understands that we need to take turns. Started off as a super worried mama, and left confident that we would be more than okay. This review is for the scheduling and billing department and not the physical therapists…read more Poorly trained personnel on insurance claim and following up on patients when there is a doctor referral. I waited about 3 weeks for the clinic to contact me after our pediatrician put in a referral to see PT for my childs torticolis. When I did not hear back I called the office, the first lady said she could not find any referrals then I spoke to a second person that said the paper work sent over was incorrect. I told her since this is a time sensitive issue to go ahead and put me in as a private pay so at least we can start the evaluation and make future appts if needed. Made an appt for an evaluation, only to be called by another personnel to cancel the appt because they are not able to figure out if they are contracted with my insurance. I told them I would still want to come in for the evaluation since its already been over a month and I would pay as private pay until insurance is sorted out. I ended up seeing Miss Paige and Miss Hannah. Both are great PTs and did help improving omy childs torticolis. I ended up using 6 or 7 appointments, 3 months had passed and each time they wanted to cancel my appt because they couldnt figure out insurance coverage. Long story short I finally had to email all the claims and what my insurance had cover and my copays that I had paid for them to finally realize what was happening. Insurance companies suck I get it. I deal with them on a daily basis at my job. But not having trained personnel to deal with the insurance complexities is not acceptable in the health care industry.

He did not check to see if I did the exercises correctly and I felt like I was wasting my time taking off work and driving over just to be ignored- I could've just googled exercises and done them at the gym. I'm only writing this review because I keep getting automatic text requests to fill out a form about my progress, and it is frustrating because I made no progress here, no one cared about my healing at all, and I wasted money on something I could've done alone. I switched physical therapists after a few sessions and the difference was night and day in terms of actually paying attention. Months ago they said they would pull my case from collections bc it had just been sent a few days before and here we are still hasn't been done. Each time I call the gentleman escalated it to someone else and still no response or additional notes on the account. At this point I may need to seek legal counsel because this is beyond ridiculous. TBH I don't even think I was treated that day my notes say I was treated by Alejandra and I was always treated by the same person- not Alejandra. Do not trust the billing dept they will give you the run around and you'll end up in collections despite having insurance!!

When I tried to leave the room to escape the pain, the male technician followed me aggressively. I have filed a formal investigation with the California Department of Public Health regarding the unsafe operation of their equipment. ​If you are elderly or have mobility issues, DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care about patient safety."

They are without a doubt the best physical therapy provider in San Diego county, California, the west coast, and definitely the country. I've been a client since June 2007 when I re-injured my surgically repaired knee a year post surgery. I worked nearby and it came up on the list. I was mostly excited for the location. Once I had my first appointment I knew I had found the perfect medical care professionals. Their treatments are whole body with an emphasis on full mobility. They don't just look at the affected area without considering how it's affecting your walk, stance, sitting, and daily life. I've worked with many of the PTs over the years but have maintained a relationship with one of my original therapist who has helped me through a plethora of issues, injuries, and surgery. I can't recommend them enough and have recommended them to many people. Thank you, RU for giving a darn about your patients and their wellbeing.

Also the massages they would do on my shoulder really helped. My experience with the PTs was mixed. My first two sessions were with Jeff and he seemed to view work as social hour. He would give me exercises then immediately wander off to talk to another PT about his weekend or whatever else. No complaints about his knowledge or abilities as a PT, but he needs to pay more attention to patients. My last four sessions were with Madison and she was great. Much more attentive and also just generally fun to talk to. While I was doing exercises with her (or the assistant) they would walk around, look at my form, tell me where to improve so the exercises were more effective. Felt like I was getting a lot more benefit from those sessions. Overall I'd recommend them, but don't be shy about asking to switch PTs if you don't feel like you got a great one.
