When I called the main number, the dispatcher apologized for the worker's behavior and offered an alternative handy person to stop by 2 days later. He suspected that the $150 part (plus labor) was malfunctioning temporarily, having been frozen. Where Dockery's might have charged me for a part that was not working before removing it, they chose to invest in my trust by reinstalling the part and recommending a procedure to follow after he had left and the fridge had completed it's defrost cycle.
