Very disappointing experience…read more I paid about $170 for the first repair for an E:23 error. The technician reattached the hose and assured me that the repair was covered by a warranty. Shortly afterward, the same hose became disconnected again and the washer started leaking water. Now I'm being told that I need to pay another $215 for a connector and installation to prevent the hose from disconnecting again. If the technician already knew during the first visit that a connector was needed to properly and permanently fix the problem, why wasn't I given the option to have it installed then as part of a complete repair? Instead, I paid $170 for a temporary fix, was told it had a warranty, and now I'm being asked to pay even more for a second visit. I would have much preferred an honest, upfront price for a complete repair from the beginning rather than paying twice for the same underlying issue.

He suspected that the $150 part (plus labor) was malfunctioning temporarily, having been frozen. Where Dockery's might have charged me for a part that was not working before removing it, they chose to invest in my trust by reinstalling the part and recommending a procedure to follow after he had left and the fridge had completed it's defrost cycle.
